My SSS-Rank Class Is Blood Monarch!-Chapter 353 - - Exo Burst (Part 10)
"Your next step will be a little trickier rather than exhausting," Yonathan said as he looked behind him and whistled. Almost immediately, a man appeared next to him like a ghost, startling Arthur a little.
'Talk about a cool entrance. I will have one hell of a way to make a badass entrance in the future.' The boy grinned as he looked at the blind man silently.
Yonathan spoke to him for a good few seconds before he turned to face Arthur again. "Your goal is very simple. See this man over here, he is one of the best Exo-Burst users in my group. You two will play a little game of hide and seek."
"Hide and seek?"
"Yes, hide and seek. He will try to run away, and your goal is simply to tap him. If you can tap him, you win."
"..." Arthur blinked. "Just that?"
"Yes. That is your goal." The old man nodded his head faintly. "This particular training will put to test the way you understand your body and your environment. The moment you achieve this is the moment you learn Exo-Burst."
"Hmm, that is quite interesting," Arthur said as he contemplated the old man's words for a few seconds. 'This is obviously not as easy as it sounds. Catching one of these people is actually quite the ridiculously hard task. Their speed and their ability to disappear is out of this world.'
Arthur was aware that even with his insane improvement, keeping up with these monsters was simply impossible. That gap was perhaps the key for him to unlock this ability. The old man had given him hints as to what he needed to focus on, and he was taking them to heart.

Yonathan watched the boy silently, examining the slow change in his expressions. He could see that Arthur was realizing how hard the task was and that he had to somehow discover the way to catch the man.
'This is the true test. If he wished to get Exo-Burst, then he must find it himself. He will have to reform every single idea he had about speed and mana. If he can do that, then he will unlock Exo-burst.' The man mused before turning to the man and giving him several more instructions.
"Are you ready, Arthur?" A minute later, he asked the boy.
"... Yeah, I think so." Arthur nodded his head faintly. He still had no idea how he was going to deal with this situation, but he didn't want to overthink it, so he decided to simply follow his instincts.
'I will figure it out as it comes.'
"Good, so the rules are simple. No usage of abilities, no usage of external forces to catch him. You must only use your environment, your mana, and your physical abilities." Yonathan explained.
"Understood." Arthur nodded. "But, do I have a time limit?"
"No. As long as you still wish to continue, then you shall continue. However, upon giving up, it is over." Yonathan replied coldly. His words were calm, but there was an underlying threat in them.
'Stay alert and don't underestimate this task.' Arthur understood from that phrase. He was already taking it very seriously, and those words made him even more alert.
At that moment, the man stepped forward, and Yonathan started counting down.
"5…4…3…2…1"
Arthur kept his eyes on the man while expanding his senses as much as he could. He knew that the moment the training started, keeping this man under his radar would be a herculean task. He had to not lose him very quickly.
'I better do this the right way, or I will waste days trying to get him.' Arthur mused. 'I just need to learn Exo-Burst!'
"Begin!"
The moment Yonathan said that word, the man vanished like mist. It was instantaneous, almost defying every logic in the world. However, the boy was already anticipating such a thing as he channeled his mana and dashed to the side.
The explosive speed his legs created almost made him fall. He was so fast, even he didn't expect it.
'Woah!! I'm like double my previous peak speed!' He smiled. His body was showing the true potential of agility in real time and he instantly fell in love with that feeling.
However, all of that was quickly put to the side as he put all of his focus on his target. 'I am pretty certain he had moved in this direction, right into the ships' graveyard. I need to hurry!'
Arthur quickly found himself between the broken vessels as he jumped and dodged the hanging scrap. He was moving with pure instinct, slowly getting familiar with the new level of agility and stamina.
He ran for several minutes before he finally stopped and looked around him for a few seconds, his eyes sharply examining every single detail around him. A change that he noticed at that moment was that his eyesight had become several degrees better due to his evolution.
It was as if the entire world had become a lot clearer, and every detail became even more crisp and easy to see. That helped Arthur pinpoint everything he wanted in basically no time.
However, that still didn't seem to make the task any easier as no matter how much he looked around, Arthur couldn't find any trace of the man.
'As I expected, finding him will probably be as hard as catching him. But I don't need to panic. I have a lot of time, and he won't be able to keep moving forever.'
With that in mind, the boy started moving again. His first goal was simply to get familiar with the graveyard so he could know how to move around it more easily. Using his strong memory, he swept the area for several minutes, making sure to understand what he was working with.
'He told me to understand my environment. I also need to comprehend the color pattern and the mana nature of the place. Maybe I should also think like a chameleon.' Arthur thought to himself as he kept his eyes moving left and right.
The words Yonathan had said to him kept resonating in his head again and again and again without stopping. He still didn't fully understand what it meant to understand one's environment, but he went with the most obvious ideas he could come up with until some sort of epiphany hit him.
After a while, he finally stopped again and took a deep breath. 'Well, I think I understand the area a little bit more now. I still have no idea what I'm supposed to do to make progress, but I will surely figure it out somehow.'
"Where did you go, bastard?" He muttered to himself. As he looked left and right, Arthur suddenly felt a presence appear for a split second nearby, and his eyes immediately went there.
"There you are~"
Without wasting time, he dashed to the area. It took him exactly a few seconds to reach it, and yet, as he expected, the man had disappeared again. However, that didn't dishearten Arthur as he knew that this was bound to happen and it would happen for the next several hours until he figured out how to use Exo-Burst.
'We're in for a marathon, not a sprint.'
