Arthur was very familiar with the game of hide and seek. He played it quite a lot as a kid with other kids and he did enjoy it, as any kid would. However, at the same time, he found that game to have this eerie side to it that only he seemed to notice.

The idea of having to hide and anticipating the catcher to find you gave him that deep sense of worry. The question of whether he will be caught or not, resonates in his head. It was akin to a psychological battle of who can break first.

'Where did you go, I wonder.' Arthur muttered to himself as he moved through the graveyard. He made sure to keep his presence hidden as much as possible to give himself an element of surprise in case he needed it.

The situation wasn't in his favor, and he knew that very well. But Arthur had something that man didn't have, and that was Arthur's mind. It was arguably Arthur's most devastating weapon and his best tool against all odds.

It had come up with all the ideas and outlandish accomplishments he had reached so far and it was also why he was the strongest in the world.

'Understand your body and environment…' He repeated those words in his head again and again like a mantra. As he moved, he slowly condensed all the information he gathered to create a full image with great detail.

He didn't know exactly what part of 'understanding' he needed, but he felt that he was taking slow steps toward his goal.

An hour had already passed and Arthur was able to locate the man several times, only to end up being late when he reached the spot. The chase continued like that, with no side completely overwhelming the other.

At some point, the boy stopped again as he exhaled a small breath.

"I'm really not making any progress in catching him. He knows exactly where I'm coming from and where I will appear. I can't use the same ice pillar trick from earlier to confuse his senses." He clenched his teeth with a frown.

'As expected, my only possible solution is to somehow blend with my surroundings while moving. What did Yonathan try to do earlier?' He closed his eyes for a moment to recall what he saw exactly.

He remembered how Yonathan was able to easily make his mana blend with the surroundings and that resulted in his body slowly becoming translucent.

'The way his mana changed was probably the reason why my eyes started seeing him disappearing. It's a really amazing trick. Replicating it would be a little tricky.' Arthur thought to himself.

However, he also didn't find it to be completely impossible to achieve if he was also moving at immense speed.

"Blend my mana with my surroundings… Just like water… Water always fits the vessel it's in." He muttered as he turned around and dashed forward again. This time, his intention wasn't to find the man but to try something. An idea that just popped in his head.

'Water… My mana should just slowly mix with my surroundings.' He sucked in a deep breath as he focused all mind into the mana around him. He felt its nature, the way it moved and flowed, and every single other detail about it.

He found that small task to be quite entertaining as mana was a very fascinating thing with a lot of mystery behind it. Even when he uses it basically all the time, he still doesn't understand everything about it, and that pushes him to be even more curious about it.

'Like water…'

Then, as a first attempt, Arthur tried to change the flow of his mana. Since he could control how fast it moved, he decided to tweak it to be on the same wavelength as the mana around him. The task was a little complicated as he was trying to do it while moving, but a few minutes later, Arthur felt it click.

'I did it!' He smiled faintly but didn't stop there. His mana now flowed the same way the environmental mana did. What he needed to do next was to control the nature of it. The mana in the air was not the same type he had coursing through his body.

It wasn't as stable, and it wasn't as consistent, making it hard to predict and follow. Almost immediately, Arthur faced a big problem.

'Dammit, trying to replicate this type of mana is really hard. There is no consistent state I can replicate.' He thought to himself.

Arthur continued to change the mana as fast as he could, trying to find that balance he was looking for. However, his attempts ended up in failure, again and again and again. Arthur felt as if he was trying to solve a Rubik's cube that kept on changing colors every single second.

There was simply no way he could just replicate that mana… At least not in the traditional sense.

After dozens of attempts, he stopped running and looked up. He was starting to feel how mentally taxing it was to do this.

'No wonder he told me that it was hard. Even while moving, I couldn't do it. How do you even replicate this mana pattern? It's literally impossible. Unless I have like thousands of brains to multi-task and tweak at the same time.' He clenched his teeth.

Arthur would be lying if he said that he wasn't frustrated that it was this complicated. But, he didn't let it get to his head and instead decided to focus on simply achieving the goal.

'My method is surely not the one needed. It's not as straightforward as I expected. If it's this unstable… Then…'

As he was contemplating what to do, he suddenly heard noise nearby, snapping him out of his thoughts and making him look up.

'Did he come back?' Arthur frowned as he crouched and started moving toward the source of the noise. 'That man is really mocking me, isn't he?'

However, nothing prepared him for what he was about see.
