My Ultimate OP System: Summoning All Dragons, Gods, Heroes & Villains-Chapter 64: Heartbreak At The Gates
Towards the end of evening, Isabella and Ethan walked out through the entrance door hand in hand.
Now they were face to face just beyond the threshold, with Ethan’s hand placed gently on her waist while her arms crossed over his neck.
"So I’ll see you tomorrow?" Isabella asked, smiling up at him.
Ethan raised an eyebrow with a playful grin. "I have a company to run now, you know. But sure."
Isabella rolled her eyes in amusement. "Come here."
She grabbed him by the face and pulled him down into a kiss. Their lips met softly at first, then deepened as Ethan’s grip on her waist tightened just a bit.
But right then, Percival, who had decided to drive himself to the manor, pulled up to a halt just outside the large gates. From his already rolled-down window in the driver’s seat, he saw it.
It didn’t matter that there was distance between the see-through gates and the entrance doors of the manor. His werewolf eyes could see clearly across that span.
"Is that... Isabella?" he muttered to himself.
His eyes widened, still refusing to believe what he was seeing. His heart quaked and burned almost at the same time.
He watched as they both pulled apart briefly, then leaned back in for another deep kiss, and that made his chest tighten painfully.
In the next moment, the vintage car Eduardo rode in had also driven to a halt directly in front of Percival’s vehicle.
And its headlamp shone brightly into Percival’s glass, flooding his vision with harsh white light.
Percival squinted, raising one hand to shield his eyes from the glare. Without another word, he quickly swerved his ride to the side and drove off in the opposite direction.
He didn’t even turn to spare a glance at Eduardo, who had leaned slightly out of his window and called out, "Oh, it’s you, Percival..."
Eduardo narrowed his eyes as he watched the vehicle speed away. "Hm... that’s strange."
He clicked a button on his Arcphone, and the gates automatically opened. Then, he drove the vintage car into the compound.
At this point, Isabella had just entered the vehicle that had brought her earlier. It was making a reverse out of the compound when Eduardo’s car approached.
Isabella waved at Eduardo through the window, and he nodded and smiled in acknowledgment as both vehicles passed each other.
Eduardo stepped out of the car and walked toward Ethan, who was still standing near the entrance. He bowed slightly and greeted, "Good evening, Master Ethan."
Ethan nodded back. "Evening, Eduardo."
Eduardo straightened and said, "I just saw Percival pass by the gates."
Ethan’s expression shifted to one of confusion. "You just saw Percival?"
Eduardo nodded. "Yes. He drove past the gate after staring through it for a moment."
Ethan’s eyes widened. "Shit," he muttered, turning sharply toward the gate.
He turned back to Eduardo. "Are you certain it was him?"
Eduardo nodded again. "Quite certain, Master Ethan."
Ethan muttered again under his breath, "Shit, Shit."
He knew without a doubt that Percival had just seen all of that. It was exactly why he hadn’t bothered coming in.
Eduardo gained a puzzled expression and asked, "Is there a problem, Master Ethan?"
Ethan sighed heavily and waved his hand dismissively. He wasn’t even sure how to wrap his head around the fact that Percival had just seen it all, let alone try to explain it.
He took another long look at the gate, sighed, and then decided there was no point trying to reach out to Percival tonight. His rage would be boiling over the most right now. Better to let it cool.
So instead, Ethan chose to ask about the other matter. "Has it all been taken care of?"
Eduardo nodded. "Yes, Master Ethan. I also discovered that Truman is dead. Victor killed him after forcing him to give access to his accounts."
"Despicable," Ethan muttered. Then he asked, "How did you find that out?"
Eduardo smiled faintly. "Oh, it was one of the last few things Sabina herself told me."
Ethan smiled in understanding and did not push the conversation on that matter any further.
Instead, he shifted to another topic that had been on his mind for a good part of today. "I was going to ask for a favor, Eduardo."
Eduardo replied immediately, "Please do not hesitate, Master Ethan."
Ethan then said. "Can I ask you to teach me how to be a saber?"
Eduardo was visibly taken aback. "But Master Ethan, how shall I do that when you are not of the saber class?"
Ethan smiled. "But I am, Eduardo. Not just saber. I have access to every class."
Eduardo had seen and heard many things in his lifetime, but not this. It made almost no sense to listen to.
"But how?" Eduardo followed up, his voice still carrying that edge of disbelief.
Ethan sighed. "Honestly, I’m not sure how to explain it either. But it’s not a bluff, Eduardo."
The butler tried to get his head around it. He asked, "Has this really been confirmed? Did you get assessed again at the Academy?"
Ethan wasn’t going to do this at first, seeing as it would only compound the situation even more. But he realized showing Eduardo would be better than just trying to convince him with words.
He laid his palm down and made Ragnarok materialize before his grip.
Eduardo’s gaze widened even further.
White miasma evaporated through the blade, swirling gently around the edge. Without even giving it much further thought, Eduardo knew that was a powerful weapon.
And he couldn’t help but wonder how Ethan had gotten his hands on something like that.
Ethan continued, "This is a legendary weapon that only responds to sabers with a high talent. A caster or summoner would never get it to work."
Then he took a proper stance. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

After that system screen appeared before him, Ethan made a few sword movements. He choreographed for a split second with precise stances and fluid swings, then stopped.
He looked back at Eduardo and added, "How many casters or summoners do you know who move like that?"
Eduardo opened his mouth, then closed it. "Master Ethan, I—"
"I know it’s a lot to take in," Ethan cut in gently. "But then again, remember the story of that Mikael guy? The hybrid of wolf and vampire with two high-class talents you told me about? You said I was just like him too. Part of that 0.1%."
There was a pause before he added, "Perhaps this is all part of being that 0.1%. But I need you to believe me, Eduardo."
Eduardo looked up at him and smiled genuinely. "Forgive me, Master Ethan. It’s just been a while since I truly felt this amazed. It feels like I’m staring at a story from the Age of Champions play out right before me."
Ethan smiled and nodded. "So you will teach me then?"
"Of course, Master Ethan. And when we’re done, you’ll be the best there is at the sword," Eduardo said, then bowed respectfully.
Ethan smiled and nodded. "Thank you."
Then he nudged for them to go inside.
They began walking toward the entrance, and Eduardo asked, "I’m sorry, Master Ethan, but can I ask one more thing?"
"Yes, Eduardo?"
"How did you get that sword again?"
Ethan chuckled and casually crossed his hand over Eduardo’s shoulder. Then he said, "That, my friend, is a story for another day."
"Ah... Master Ethan," Eduardo said with a resigned smile.
Ethan laughed as they both walked into the manor together.

The next morning, Ethan sat in the back of the vintage car heading towards Belsorth Academy.
Valerie and Eduardo were up front, with Eduardo driving as usual.
Ethan, however, was focused on finishing a drawing on a sheet of paper, which he had placed within an opened page of Jenner’s grimoire for support.
The diagram he was sketching was a top-down view of an aircraft. The design was remarkably detailed, with landing gear drawn beneath the body and subtle panel lines along the wings and tail.
It was a sketch of what he remembered from airplanes in his old world.
Valerie kept glancing at him nervously from the rearview mirror. Sweat had begun forming on her brow, and her hands gripped the edge of her seat tightly.
Ethan quickly raised his head and caught her staring. She immediately turned away from the mirror and stiffened, with her hands trembling.
Ethan smiled. "Don’t fret, Valerie. I’m drawing on a different sheet, not into the grimoire."
He raised the paper to show her.
That was when she exhaled a long sigh of relief before squeaking out, "Yes, Master Ethan."
She knew she had no right over the grimoire anymore, but the thought of it being defaced still gave her tremendous fright.
Ethan returned his attention to the drawing, adding a few more strokes to refine the tail section.
"I didn’t think I was ever this good at drawing," he thought to himself.
But what he hadn’t realized was that this was a perk of having the Magi-Engineer class.
An inherent ability to design on paper whatever structure his mind could conceive, producing accurate technical blueprints.
