My Vampire Prince..-Chapter 127: Anything better than hell?
Damien had originally planned on doing what just might be the most forbidden spell in the history of Zerathane. Though not a witch, there was a spell that could take away a vampire’s lust for blood. It was used by witches in the past whenever they were cornered or under attack by vampires.
He had learned by heart the spell when he took several walks in the forbidden part of the palace. Witchcraft and sorcery were the bane of any vampire bloodline. The ancient ones had done everything both imaginable or unimaginable to cast out the witches from their land. After the specie are, the witches finally lost and gave up their grounds, hiding themselves in makeshift planets, universes or worlds.
Till today, it was still a still a mystery how the vampires were able to defeat the witches. Some say the witches were outnumbered while others say a powerful witch backed up the vampires against the witch. Although the first seemed very, very feasible, the second one didn’t sound too far from the truth to Damien
Throughout the duration of the Specie war, the vampires were at the center of it all. Be it, dragons, werewolves, witches, they drove each one almost to the point of extinction at that time and claimed their lands. It was then, they decided to move to the human world but unfortunately, their streak had to end there.
A stronger force at that time was believed to be the cause of the severed failed attempts to invade the human realm.
Damien shook his head.
"That’s story for another Chapter." he thought.
He stretched his hand towards Eden’s head. One snap of his fingers sent the boy to dreamland although he felt even more guilty leaving the boy all alone.
With Eden out of his way, he had more time to think: If he wanted to get his hand on that spell or even someone who would be able to do it he needed a being that didn’t drink blood.
Damien began going through his contact list mentally. Annoyed, he banged his fist on the table, startling the sleeping Eden. Damien slowly raised his hand that fisted on the table.
"Lioren, that slutty weirdo Elyria and..."
Damien was immediately cut short by a sensation that coursed through his entire body.
He knew what that meant; Lioren was calling for him. Damien adjusted the blanket that Eden had flung away with his feet while he twisted and turned in the bed.
As he flew out the window, away from the main palace, he made a stop at the royal healing bay.
"I’ll be leaving Eden in your care too. Think you can handle it?"
"I handled you and your psychopath brothers. This should be easy." Isolde said with an air of pride.
Damien just smirked and shot himself out of the room.
"... everything will be easy..." Isolde drawled thoughtfully.

After witnessing the strange woman take down more than two husky men all on her own, Calithar thought it best to ask for help from Seraphine. Although an earth god, searching alone by himself was tasking.
He couldn’t sense Elena anywhere on planet earth. Even when he had gone to the palace, he could barely sense her essence or even a hint of her smell. What drove him insane was there was no records of her death so where the heck was she?!
"I have to give her a present for her previous help anyways." Calithar thought. "And I could use a dip in her luxurious, calming pool..."
Calithar shook his head to concentrate. He walked to where they had earlier stood and scooped two handfuls of the earth on which they had stood. He brought it up to his nose and took a long smell.
A benefit of his powers was that he knew the smell of every single person on earth. The ones who’d died, the ones who’d just entered the earth and even those still alive, the animals, creatures and other species; he knew their scents by heart.
As he sniffed harder, his face turned different shades of confusion mixed with disbelief. He could sniff out the dragon’s scent in the sand pile but at the same time, noticed a different scent.
It was gentle yet dark which made it even stranger because looking at that man, nothing about him seemed gentle to the naked eye talk less of his inner spirit.
The scent was a mixture of a very small amount of lavender fragrance and a huge amount of dark, unrecognizable energy. The scent alone made him woozy.
"Who are you?" Calithar asked himself in the quiet of the night.
"I can deal with this later."
He walked over to the tree he used as a hiding spot and plucked some leaves off of it. Calithar snapped his fingers at the leaves and they swirled in the air before transforming into a small pouch.
He slid the sand into the pouch. With a wave of his hand, he vanished from there.
"What is the matter? Why did you summon me?" Damien asked the second he arrived in Kesath.
"Where’s my wife?!" He shouted when no one answered him.
"In here dummy!" A voice called out from the grand, mansion that stood a few meters away from large caves.
Damien flew to around the house until he arrived at the courtyard. His black wings flapped down one he landed. Damien burst through the patio, pushed open the slide-door that divided the patio from the rest of the house inside. He whipped his head left, right, up and down as he ran deeper into the house.
"Elena! Elena where are yo—"
"I’m here..." a weak, soft voice replied.
Damien’s head whipped in the direction of the voice. "My lov—"
Damien didn’t finish his sentence before he appeared by Elena’s side in less than a millisecond. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
"Damien..."
"Agh...ah...oh darling you gave me such a scare!" Damien’s voice cracked at the end. His hands slid up the back of her head and down to a back in rapid succession.
"You... you scared me so... much..."
"Damien..." Elena called out again but Damien still said nothing. Her arms wrapped around his neck slacked off but he tightened them again. Elena patted his short, thick black hair, occasionally showering kisses on it.
"My love." Damien started, pulling away.
"I—"
"How are the kids baby?" Elena cut in.
Damien chuckled softly. His hand cupped her face, stroking her cheek gently.
"How have grown go lean?" Damien asked, pain etched all over his face.
"Darling..." Elena repeated again. She placed her hand atop his own that rested on her cheek.
"I can’t calm down unless I know how my children are. Did I...hurt them? Are they well? Did they surv—"
"Shhhh my love. Don’t finish that sentence."
He got up and kissed her forehead then went down to her cheeks and sucked it gently.
"Sheesh! Get a room." Elyria mumbled from behind them.
"Ok people, let’s give the love birds some space." Lioren announced clapping his hands.
"The kids are fine dear." Damien assured her once everyone cleared out of the room.
"Can I see them?"
"Elena."
"What are we waiting for? Let’s head back now."
Elena tried to get down from the bed but Damien grabbed her ankles gently.
"I see where our little girl gets her attitude from." he chuckled. Damien’s fingers circled around her chin, pulling her closer.
His lips parted open and captured hers in a gentle kiss.
"Dami...ahhhhh."
"Let’s talk about this later." Damien drawled as he moved closer to her, speaking against her lips in a furry.
"The kids are with Isolde. You trust her don’t you?"
"Well—"
"Then let’s have some little fun."
Damien’s hand slipped deeper under the linen dress Elyria had changed her into.
"Damien..." Elena breathed out, breaking the kiss when his grip on her cheeks loosened.
"I need you so bad, my love. It’s been days and I’ve been such a mess without you." His voice, tinged with pain and desperation, struck a chord in her heart. Damien shifted closer to her, grabbing her waist next and propping her up to straddle him.
Damien kissed her neck before capturing her lips in a heated kiss. ~~ahh~~
Elena moaned in his mouth.
She swallowed, her hands resting on his chest as if she needed the solidness of him to think clearly. Damien’s palm stroked her thigh softly, inching forward to her flower while he distracted her with his mouth.
Elena felt his heartbeat beneath her palm.
She craved him too...so damn badly. But she didn’t want their first time since her out be when she still felt so uncertain about her children.
For a moment, the world outside that room faded leaving just the couple and the ache that had been building between them for far too long.
"I know," she whispered, her voice shaking despite her effort to sound steady. "I want you too but I need my kids."
Damien lowered his forehead to hers, breathing her in like she was oxygen. His thumb brushed slow circles on her thigh. "I hate being away from you," he admitted softly. "It feels wrong."
Elena closed her eyes, torn between reason and longing. She leaned into him anyway, her arms slipping around his neck. "Just hold me," she said. "Please."
He did, pulling her close, his embrace wrapping her completely to his body. And for that brief moment, wrapped in his arms, she let herself forget everything else.
Even with his coaxing, Elena’s decision to see her kids didn’t waver.
"Please. Let me see my children first. I need to carry them in my arms to calm down."
Damien sighed heavily. He knew he could never say no to her.
"Fine. Let’s go."
A small smile lit her glassy eyes.
"Thank you." she smiled.
Damien helped her to her feet and together, they walked out the door.
"Wait."
"What is it?" Damien asked when Elena’s gentle pull on his shirt stopped him.
"Severin... Severin was just here."
"What? Are you sure?"
"Yes, yes I am. Lio, Elyria and that Elder cam bear witness."
Damien fought the urge to go look for him around the house. He didn’t sense him when he first got into the house. Then again, Severin was geh strangest man that ever existed.
"I’ll get to that later hmm?"
"Of course." Elena smiled.
The couple took off out of Kesath.
"And why didn’t you want him to see you?" Elyria questioned Severin once Damien left.
"I have my reasons."
"Which are?" Lio asked next.
Severin said nothing but turned to Elder Zephyr. "Get me out of here. I already paid my debt."
Zephyr smiled. "Not yet...Jesse."
