My Wife is a Hidden Big Shot-Chapter 117 - 111: They Definitely Aren’t Short of Money
The reporter was stunned.
Jared Miles glanced at her and answered his own question. "I do. This class was designed for her!"
The reporters at the scene were instantly thrilled. This was a huge scoop!
They immediately rushed forward to ask, "Excuse me, does your sister play this class?"
"Mr. Miles, did you come back because your sister is going to participate in the auditions?"
"Mr. Miles, has your sister’s autism recovered?"
...
Jared Miles didn’t answer a single question. He strode briskly toward the exit, reverting to his usual icy, unapproachable CEO persona.
Suddenly, the reporters chasing Jared Miles felt an intense, oppressive aura that made them involuntarily falter, their pace slowing.
One of the men, carrying a camera, grabbed a colleague in front of him and pulled him back. It took him a moment to recover before he said fearfully, "Stop chasing them. There’s a High Rank Martial Artist among them. That pressure was his warning..."
Jared Miles’s secretary and bodyguards naturally felt the pressure too, but they could only endure it with a wry smile. Their boss was an honorary member of The International Martial Alliance. Rumor had it that the alliance’s president, whose Combat Power was said to be immeasurable, was even his martial uncle.
But these were just rumors. No one knew if they were true.
Escorted by his bodyguards, Jared Miles smoothly made his way to the VIP parking lot.
A black, ordinary-looking van drove past them. The license plate was unremarkable, but a special logo was emblazoned on its side.
"Mr. Miles, that’s the DAF Team’s van." The secretary, who was familiar with Veridia’s major teams, recognized the vehicle at a glance. As a long-time fan of Martial Lord White, he had always followed DAF closely, secretly hoping that the legendary god-tier player would one day return to the competitive scene.
"Go investigate! Find out which hotel they booked," Jared Miles ordered with a glance at his secretary before striding forward.
The secretary paused for a moment, then nodded in understanding as he remembered the first-ever player to use the Boxer class, someone his boss had been keeping a close eye on.
’That player seems to have joined the DAF Team.’

From the driver’s seat, Gideon Lockwood glanced cautiously at Aurora Sinclair in the rearview mirror.
It was only when he saw Jean Quincy that he recalled Aurora Sinclair’s identity.
’This is the girl who kicked his little brother, Glenn Lockwood, and turned him into a Great Warrior!’
He had seen the surveillance footage from that day. The girl’s martial arts skills were incredible, far stronger than any of the Lockwood Family’s bodyguards.
At this thought, Gideon Lockwood felt a surge of excitement. ’I should find some time to ask her for a method to rapidly increase one’s strength on my brother’s behalf.’
「An hour later.」
Gideon Lockwood parked the van in front of a high-end hotel and pointed to a modern skyscraper not far away. "That building is the EM Group’s headquarters in Syland City. The auditions for ’Conquest of Glory’ will be held there."
"Whoa, that building is huge!"
Leigh Miles’s eyes sparkled. He grabbed Aurora Sinclair’s sleeve and said excitedly, "Aurora, just look at that building! They’re definitely not short on cash! Let’s do our best and win that 50,000 prize money!"
Aurora Sinclair nodded solemnly.

While checking in, they unexpectedly ran into some familiar faces.
Jean Quincy’s eyes lit up instantly. Spotting a group of people emerging from the elevators, she shouted excitedly, "Ethan—"
Ethan Lowell turned at the sound of his name, a look of surprise on his face.
His teammates beside him whistled. One of them slung an arm around his neck and teased, "Emil, not bad! Hiding such a pretty girl from us? Come on, make some introductions..."
Ethan Lowell shot them a look and, under their teasing gazes, strode over to Jean Quincy.
"You guys are here for the competition too?" Although Ethan Lowell addressed Jean Quincy, his eyes were fixed on Aurora Sinclair.
Jean Quincy pointed to the two people behind her and replied cheerfully, "Of course! My brother and Aurora are competing together!"
Ethan Lowell’s heart sank. Team PL’s coach had told him to place in the top three in these auditions. He had originally been aiming for first place, but he never expected Aurora Sinclair to be competing too. ’With her here, there’s no way I can win the championship!’
Just as he was thinking this, his teammate Sean Colby walked over. Staring at Aurora Sinclair with a stunned expression, he said in a slightly flirtatious tone, "Emil, you’re not playing fair! Why wouldn’t you introduce us to such a beauty..."
He and Ethan Lowell were roommates on Team PL and were close, so he spoke casually.
Ethan Lowell jabbed him with an elbow and chided with a laugh, "Watch your mouth. These are my classmates."
Sean Colby rubbed his stomach and said with a cheeky grin, "Hello, everyone. I’m Sean Colby, a trainee for Team PL. Do you want to come with us to check out the competition venue?"
Jean Quincy was naturally delighted, nodding eagerly. "Yes, yes!"
"No—" A domineering male voice suddenly cut in.
Jean Quincy froze, her expression changing in an instant. Zeke Quincy quickly pulled her behind him, looking warily at the newcomer.
Seeing the way the Quincy Siblings were looking at him as if he were a thief, Glenn Lockwood rubbed his nose. "I mean, I can take you..."
"What are you doing here?" Zeke Quincy asked, his tone hostile.
"I’m here for the competition..." Glenn Lockwood glanced at Aurora Sinclair and instinctively covered his chest.
’With this formidable lady around, I really don’t dare to step out of line.’
He pulled a handful of team member ID cards from his pocket and offered them to Jean Quincy, trying to curry favor. "Jean, you need these IDs to get into the venue."
Jean Quincy, not happy to see him, turned her head to Ethan Lowell. "Ethan, you guys can get us in, right?"
Ethan Lowell nodded and pulled a stack of team member IDs from his pocket, about to hand them to Jean Quincy. But Glenn Lockwood grew anxious. "Jean, they’re trainees for Team PL! We’re not on the same team..."
As soon as he said this, the expressions of the boys from Team PL changed slightly. They looked at Aurora Sinclair and Zeke Quincy with a new sense of scrutiny.
’They’re team trainees too? Doesn’t that make them our rivals in this year’s auditions?’
Ethan Lowell looked at Aurora Sinclair in disbelief. "You joined a team too?"
Aurora Sinclair nodded. "DAF Team."
Ethan Lowell was instantly speechless.
’The top scorer on the college entrance exams, the heiress of the Sinclair Family, is actually entering the e-sports scene?’
’Won’t Mr. Barron and all the students and teachers at Arcadian University weep?’
Sean Colby, of course, knew of DAF. They were a veteran powerhouse team. The legendary Martial Lord White himself was said to have been on that team back in the day. He couldn’t help but whistle, saying excitedly, "So does that make us rivals? What classes do you guys play?"
Zeke Quincy replied, "My class is Archery, and she’s a Boxer."
"A Boxer? Girl, you’ve got guts!" Sean Colby gave Aurora Sinclair a complicated look before finally giving her a thumbs-up.

Meanwhile, Gideon Lockwood, having finished the check-in process, walked over with a handful of key cards. "Go put your luggage away first. I’ll have Glenn take you to see the venue in a bit."
Jean Quincy could only suppress her dissatisfaction and reluctantly say goodbye to Ethan Lowell.
Glenn Lockwood was terribly jealous. He wanted to get closer to Jean Quincy, but Zeke Quincy was always there, watching him like a hawk and blocking him, giving him no chance to even get on her good side.
’I wonder if my brother is intentionally trying to create an opportunity for me,’ he thought. ’He actually put me and Zeke Quincy in the same room.’
Glenn Lockwood was secretly delighted. After entering the room, he laid his cards on the table. "Zeke Quincy, I like your sister, and I want a fair chance to compete for her. Can you stop being so defensive around me? I’m not a thief..."
But Zeke Quincy cut him off, retorting bluntly, "My family spent eighteen years raising a prize cabbage. There’s no way I’m letting a pig gobble it up!"
