My Wife is a Hidden Big Shot-Chapter 175 - 169: Sure Enough, He’s the Daddy
"No Tears for Singles" was so famous at Arcadian University that basically everyone there knew about it.
So, the moment the graduate student finished speaking, Benjamin Morgan’s heart leaped into his throat. He glanced at his master’s darkening expression and silently said a prayer for Aurora Sinclair.
Chester Greene suddenly burst out laughing and said deliberately, "Your little junior doesn’t have a boyfriend. It’s a good thing she’s going there. She can make some new friends..."
The graduate student’s eyes lit up. "Professor, does our little junior really not have a boyfriend?"
His gaze flickered toward Alvin Morgan. Recently, rumors had been circulating among the undergraduates that their little junior and Professor Morgan had something going on, which had left them feeling jealous for quite some time.
Chester Greene, catching a glimpse of Alvin Morgan’s face—now as black as the bottom of a wok—out of the corner of his eye, replied, adding fuel to the fire, "That’s right! Where else would she find a boyfriend?"
Hearing this, the two graduate students’ minds started racing. "Professor, if there’s nothing else, we’ll be going now." Their hopeful gazes amused Chester Greene, who was just about to say, "Go ahead!"
A flat, emotionless voice suddenly cut in. "Yesterday’s Y-1 experiment data had issues. Redo it."
"Huh?"
But Alvin Morgan had already set down his teacup, stood up, and was striding out the door.
Benjamin Morgan pushed up his glasses, followed behind him, and silently took out his phone to send a message in the [The Morgan Mr. s] group chat.
[C: Code red——]
[Beta: Make way, make way! Firefighter Beta is online!]
[D: ?]
[C: The boss is green with envy.]
[Beta: That’s horrible! You’re only feeding him vegetables for lunch? (Furious)]
[D: ...]
[C: ... @Boss A, can you kick Mr. Beta?]
[A: OK]
[Group Owner Boss A has removed Firefighter Beta from the group chat.]
[E: Got my popcorn ready. Waiting for the live show.]
[F: +1]
...
Benjamin Morgan pursed his lips as he looked at his phone, then shut off the screen.
’What a bunch of troublemakers!’

Meanwhile, the line outside "No Tears for Singles" was growing longer and longer.
The owner, seeing how business was booming, immediately had a waiter bring three chairs for Aurora Sinclair and her two friends, and even served them ice cream.
"Campus Belle Sinclair, it’s getting crowded. This is on the house, from our owner. Please wait patiently..." A handsome, monolid waiter holding three cups of ice cream handed one to each of them.
Luna Jennings excitedly grabbed Aurora Sinclair’s arm. "Wow, this place is totally living up to its hype as an internet-famous restaurant! The service is amazing, and that guy just now was so handsome!"
Beside them, Nancy Jennings dug out a spoonful of ice cream and said coolly, "They’re just afraid we’ll leave."
"What do you mean?"
"Look behind you..."
Luna Jennings immediately turned around and was so shocked she nearly choked. They had only been waiting for a short while, but the line behind them now stretched so far she couldn’t see the end of it—and it was entirely made up of guys.
A guy standing nearby saw her turn around and even greeted her.
"Hey, beautiful! Let’s eat together later!"
Luna Jennings whipped back around in fright, glancing with lingering fear at the completely unruffled Aurora Sinclair beside her. "Aurora, does your university have this many single guys?"
Aurora took a bite of her ice cream and shook her head. "I don’t know."
"Does your school have more guys than girls?"
"I’m the only girl in the archaeology department."
Luna’s eyes instantly filled with stars. "Doesn’t that make you the class darling?"
Aurora had heard Hannah use that term before and nodded. "Mhm, they’re all very nice."
"You’re so lucky! Is it too late for me to transfer?"
Aurora: ...

Just as they were talking, Aurora’s phone suddenly rang. The familiar tune made Luna hum along.
Aurora answered her phone and put it to her ear. "Mr. C..."
"Aurora, the boss isn’t feeling well again. Can you help by getting a box of medicine from the school clinic?"
"Okay, sure. What medicine?"
"I’ll text it to you."
After Aurora hung up, Luna Jennings asked in confusion, "What’s wrong, Aurora?"
"I have to go buy medicine for someone."
"Who’s sick?" Luna felt that something was fishy.
"Professor Morgan."
Luna’s face instantly darkened. She grabbed Aurora’s arm. "Don’t worry, I’m sure he’s fine!"
Aurora shook her head. "He’s sick."
"But it’s almost our turn..."
"You guys go in first. I’ll be back in a bit."
Luna didn’t feel right about it, and finally, she gritted her teeth. "I’ll go with you!"
The restaurant owner was alarmed to see Campus Belle Sinclair about to leave and personally ran out from inside to ask, "Hey? Why are you leaving?"
Luna replied unhappily, "We’re going to buy medicine for Professor Morgan. He’s sick."
Unexpectedly, the restaurant owner had a shocked expression on his face. "Are you talking about Professor Morgan from the College of Physics?"
Aurora nodded in confusion.
The next thing she knew, the restaurant owner seemed even more anxious than she was. He immediately ran back to the entrance and said to the staff inside, "You guys watch the store. I have to go out for a bit."
Then he urged Aurora and her friends to go buy the medicine. "What’s wrong with Professor Morgan? Is it serious?"
The restaurant owner was very overweight, his face so fleshy that his eyes were squeezed into slits. His brow was tightly furrowed with worry, as if this Professor Morgan were his own father.
A flicker of curiosity rose in Luna. "Sir, what’s your relationship with Professor Morgan?"
"He’s my boss!"
Luna: ...
’So he really is his daddy—his money daddy!’
Deciding she should find out more, Luna started chatting with the restaurant owner.
"Professor Morgan owns a restaurant?"
"He invested, and I started the business. Back when I was trying to raise funds on campus, Professor Morgan gave me a card with 200,000 on it to support me in building this restaurant..." A look of gratitude welled up in the owner’s small eyes, and the intensity of his gaze made Luna shiver.
"Does Professor Morgan come here often?"
"He’s never been. He’s very busy. I invited him to the ribbon-cutting ceremony before, but he didn’t have time to come. He just sent his research assistant to cut the ribbon in his place." The restaurant owner looked regretful.
Luna’s opinion of this Professor Morgan improved slightly.
The group picked up two boxes of cold medicine from the school clinic and hurried over to the College of Physics.
Benjamin Morgan was looking around anxiously at the entrance of the lab building. When he saw Aurora, his expression brightened. "Aurora, over here..."
The moment Luna saw Benjamin Morgan, she thought she could hear her own heartbeat, and the temperature of her cheeks began to rise.
She immediately tugged on Aurora’s clothes and asked, "Aurora, is that Professor Morgan?"
"No, that’s Mr. C."
Luna instantly breathed a sigh of relief. "Does he have a girlfriend?"
Aurora shook her head. "No."
Luna’s eyes curved into crescents, and she broke into a grin so wide it nearly split her face.
Just then, Benjamin Morgan walked over, greeted the restaurant owner, and prepared to lead Aurora upstairs.
"We won’t..." Before Aurora could finish, Luna cut her off loudly.
"Let’s go up, let’s go up! Aurora, didn’t you say Professor Morgan usually takes good care of you? We have to go up and check on him..."
Then, to Aurora’s surprise, she grabbed her hand and started pulling her into the lab building.
Nancy Jennings, left behind, glanced at Benjamin Morgan and shook her head.
’That guy is a perfect match for her silly sister’s type.’

Benjamin Morgan led them to Alvin Morgan’s office. It was also on the top floor, but in a different wing from Chester Greene’s, so people rarely came this way.
As soon as the closed door was opened, a suppressed cough could be heard from inside.
This office was even larger than Chester Greene’s. It was comprised of two rooms: the outer area held a desk, and the inner one seemed to be a lounge.
Alvin Morgan’s voice came from the inner room.
