Myriad Devils-Chapter 260: The Incomprehensible
She exuded an enchanting mystique.
Her long, silvery-white hair cascaded around her shoulders, glimmering like moonlight and framing her delicate features.
Sharp, elongated ears peeked out from beneath her tresses.
Her eyes were blanketed by a white cloth, only serving to amplify the allure of her vermilion lips.
Tenebris heard her words and tilted its head.
In fact, it even went on to actively look away from Anon.
Weird.
The Ghost Autarch felt weirded out by this one who whispered under the shade of the World Tree.
This one was well known across the Cosmic Space, said to know all things.
How desirable.
And now this one even said that it could not understand its own Divine World?
Why would this one say such a thing?
It was not surprising that, after claiming that it would never understand its own Heaven, Tenebris looked away from its Heaven and toward the one who whispered.
However, Tenebris went even further and let go of the hand of its Heaven, and approached the one who sat under the shade of the World Tree.
"Thou mayest not."
The World Tree shivered, and a leaf fell.
Within that single leaf, glittering intensely, was an entire cosmic space.
Naturally, the falling leaf containing an entire cosmos also brought with it a crushing might that fell onto Tenebris, causing it to growl in desperation, "Why?!"
The moment of contact caused the entire realm of Mythralis to shake, and the Ghost Autarch was forced into his true form.
"The one who beareth the burden of the Tri-Layered Truth is he who is laden with the identity of the second coming. They are to be guided and nurtured, for they carry the hope of the Ring of Three Realms; their demise doth herald the destruction of all realms."
She was clad in a flowing, ethereal robe that blended shades of white and shimmering silver, decorated with intricate details that resembled celestial patterns.
Her enticing lips parted, revealing two rows of pearly white teeth.
"Thou who dost bear only the identity of an incarnation hast no authority to stand alongside the second coming of the progenitor."
The entire realm of Mythralis violently quaked.
He, Anon, could not follow a confrontation of this level...
To him, not long after her words, there was no sign of Tenebrisculis.
Around her neck was a choker adorned with a glimmering jewel. In her slender hands, she held a small, reflective orb that captured the ambient light.
The orb reflected Anon’s unreadable expression, but her eyes appeared to pierce straight through all obstructions, reading his expression with clarity.
Coughing lightly, she adjusted her manner of speech to suit his ears and sighed aloud, "It may appear unnecessary, but in time, you will come to know how befitting it was to drive away those who are irrelevant to the greater path."
"Irrelevant or not," Anon pinched his chin.
He did not really know what to say.
This was someone said to be omniscient.
He had his own reasons for seeking them out; however, he least expected them to suddenly chase away the Overlord at his side.
One must understand, the Fourth Ghost Autarch was a creature that was powerful enough to waltz into the Human Domain without fear.
In a few moments, at least to his perception, it had been chased away. This was completely unimaginable.
Even the Elven Overlord had no choice but to begrudgingly accept its existence, but an entity radiating the aura of a Dimension Lord had achieved this feat?!
Besides this, he had already planned to transform this Overlord into his worshipper.
Though it might have been slightly more difficult and complex a matter than he initially deemed it to be, he had utmost confidence that he would eventually become the Lord God of the Ghost Autarch, Tenebrisculis.
Even the belief of mere mortals benefitted him greatly, and the corrupted hearts of otherworldly creatures opened up a means to even greater power... one could imagine how complex the power he would be capable of wielding once Tenebrisculis had fallen to his Divine Majesty.
After all, just its initial belief had benefitted his celestial psyche immensely.
"I had my own intentions, but hasn’t it been ruined due to your actions now?" Anon squinted his eyes, appearing rather displeased.
Truthfully, a part of him was indeed displeased, but that was only one-third of his psyche, so it held little sway over his true core of thoughts.
However, it did not hurt to adorn a facade at all times.
The Venerable Saintess of the Elven folk turned around to look at Anon.
Her eyes were covered in a white cloth, her lips were delicate, and her smile was breathtaking.
"I am naturally knowledgeable of many things, so I know of your intentions as well."
"However, to actualize what you truly seek, wasting time with a meager Ghost Autarch is a meaningless action." The Saintess said, shaking her head.
Tilting his head to the side, he questioned, "What do I truly seek?"
He sought answers to the greater scheme at work; however, even Overlords looked up to the Human Lord.
The mere fact of looking up to his father meant that these Overlords were insignificant when compared to the more incomprehensible existences.
What did these Overlords really know?
And beneath these Overlords, there were the Dimension Lords.
He couldn’t help but begin to doubt the so-called omniscience of this Dimension Lord before him.
Whether she was all-knowing or not, was it constrained to the world within the cosmic space, or did it encompass the world beyond as well, along with the entities beyond?
Beyond the cosmic space...
Then was that really a Dimension Lord?
"I am sure that," the Venerable Saintess said before going silent.
She pursed her lips, seemingly deep in thought, and after a while, stated, "The one whom you refer to as True Father would’ve conveyed my importance to you."
True Father.
Other than himself, no one would logically be capable of knowing this existence.
This was not because he, Anon Xerxes, was good at keeping secrets. After all, too many existences could pierce into his thoughts.
However, the existence, True Father, was an existence even beyond the Overlords.
Even if they could decipher Anon’s soul, certain things that were inherently incomprehensible would still evade their investigation.
Nonetheless, at this moment, a Dimension Lord now revealed the incomprehensible.
