Chapter 122: Chapter One Hundred And Twenty-Two: Blood Is Thicker Than Water.

"Here mother, water." Rosa said, handing over a glass of water over to her mother, who was finally awake after scaring the shit out of everyone.

She hasn’t said anything, and Rosa was sure that Marya was waiting to hear her speak, Mario was the one holding her from pushing their mother too much, the old woman has stressed herself up with finding Narika.

"Do you need anything else? I don’t maybe.. a snack or something to fill up your stomach. You haven’t had breakfast yet." Rosa emphasized much on the yet, because Marya has decided for everyone to go on fasting, seeing that she has no intention on making breakfast today.

"I’m not a child, Rosa. I just had a fit, that’s all." Seline said annoyingly, it was an insult to her ego that her daughter’s had to see that, especially Mario who was having a hard time to believe in what they believed in.

This would only make him firm in his belief that they all were crazy, but he wouldn’t be saying that once he heard what she was about to say.

It left her dumbfounded for a while after she woked up, Narika isn’t coming back. Marya was trying everything she could, to bring her home but the daughter she knew isn’t the same person anymore.

It’s either that Lucifer is holding her captive, and he had his mages block access to anyone knowing that he has her. That’s what he ought to do to protect her from any external enemy, but that doesn’t mean that he would keep her away from her family.

She’s not a slave there. If anything, he’s the one who needs her. So, why can’t she search for her without having a fit like moments ago?

It still didn’t sound okay to Seline yet, but she had to talk to Marya immediately if she didn’t want her to not go crazy right now.

"So, what happened? Were you able to find her?" Mario was the one to speak up in place of his wife, and she’s grateful for that because she’s sure that she won’t be able to put up with her excessive questions right now.

"I need to go back to India." She confessed, and that was the truth. Maybe the fact that she was away from her domain had made her weak, and that had made whoever was on the other side to consider her a threat. She still needs some of her tools, which she didn’t consider important anyway until now.

"Why, mother?" Marya asked, her eyes looking into hers desperately for answers. she knew that she wouldn’t be giving them all this morning.

"Someone was blocking my access to the underworld, I don’t know. But that doesn’t mean that she’s with Lucifer yet."

"Then does that not make it worse if she’s with someone else that is not Lucifer, I told you about Adrik. He might be the one to..." Mario complained but he was but short by Seline’s glare at him.

"Actually, Adrik was the one who saved her from sleeping on the cold roads of New York. I don’t know the rest after that since i couldn’t see anything. But Adrik is not the problem here, he wouldn’t hurt her because the both are destined to meet each other."

"He’s a ghost." Marya reminded her, but the look Seline gave them said otherwise. Well, that’s because the Adrik she saw in her visions wasn’t any ghost, he’s a demon. Lucifer’s son.

"I didn’t see a ghost, but a demon, Marya. Adrik is Lucifer’s son. How does that make him a ghost?" Seline asked, everyone was confused right here. Everyone, including her too.

How do they even meet or know Adrik in the first place?

"He’s Jason’s son. Jason is my father’s business enemy. How does that make him a demon because Jason is completely human to me?" Mario asked, he denied everything that Seline was saying because none of this makes any sense.

Seline scoffed, before relaxing more in her seat." Well, son something is clearly wrong somewhere, and i can tell you that Someone is lying between Jason and his wife. But i will say his wife, who knows she might have slept with Lucifer." Seline ended her statement with a nod of head, things were getting more explained now to how.

She turned to look at Marya to see that she’s looking at Mario, who was looking at her as if she had just said something stupid right now.

"All i want is to find my child, mother. I have absolutely nothing to do with Adrik’s mother sleeping with Lucifer. Do you know what that is, he’s the devil!"Marya cried.

"And that makes Adrik his son, who is the chosen prince for the prophecy. Narika is his mate, together they would have a son. The antichrist."

"Okay, now mom. You sound religious." Rosa, who has not been saying anything had to talk, she didn’t have the full details about the said prophecy until now.

"No, this isn’t about me, or any of you being religious or not. This is about what’s going to happen. Maybe not now, but eventually. We have always known that Narika was born special." Seline tried to make a point here for everyone, to understand what their next step is.

"Yeah, I know. To be a baby making factory for the devil to use to fight whatever enemies he’s got out there. What sort of fucked up story is this?!" Mario bursted out in anger.

"Mario, that’s enough!" Marya shouted. She’s sick and tired of him denying anything about their daughter, when it was happening right in his face.

Seline stood up, she was ready to start preparing to leave for India since she had overstayed her welcome. Mario here, was trying to pin the blame on her as if she had forced him into her family. He should have avoided her daughter, when she showed him that he wasn’t who Marya was supposed to end up with.

But after all his explanation about who Jason is, and his connection to his father. She has come to understand that this was fate tying their paths together.

"Mom, where are you going? You have to say something." Marua called for her attention.

"Say what exactly Marya? The only thing am going to say is that fate had fucked us all up. Believe it or not, we all were destined to meet, regardless of his dad being enemies with Adrik’s step father."

Mario scoffed at her words of her calling Jason, Adrik’s step father. If she knew who the man was, and how much influence and power he has in the city she wouldn’t make such false accusations without proof.

"No, I need you to tell me what to do. Yes, i know that Narika isn’t coming back again.." Marya’s voice broke down at this statement.

"She’s coming back, sweetheart. I will make sure of that." Mario said with overconfidence which had Rosa face palmed herself because he’s not helping matters here.

"Yeah, I would like to see you try going to hell to take Narika from Lucifer without burning up in flames.I already told you that there’s a huge chance that Baram has taken over her body."

"As long as she’s still alive, she’s still my daughter." Mario added.

Seline sighed before facing Marya, who had been waiting for an answer to her question. " I don’t know if this is actually going to work seeing that Mario says that Jason and his family are enemies."

"How does what help?" Mario chirped in.

"If you truly want to see Narika, I believe approaching Jason’s wife is the best option. She slept with Lucifer, so that makes her important to him."

"How sure are you that she slept with him and had Adrik? Lucifer could have just done one of his voodoo shits on her to change Adrik’s paternity."

"Things aren’t done that way. Blood is thicker than water, so yes! She slept with him. Adrik would be dead if he isn’t Lucifer’s real son if he stays in hell." Seline told Mario.

"So, how exactly do we approach her? Mario is in hiding. His own father doesn’t even know that he’s alive, mother. Jason would kill him at first sight to take revenge on his father.’’Marya told her, while Rosa sighed before falling on top of the couch.

"This is all fucked up!" She said. It was tight end. There’s no way this is going to work. Mario would have to reveal his existence to his father to let him know about this.

"Well, you guys figure that out." Seline said climbing up the stairs to go to her room." But i would suggest you guys be fast about that. Who knows when Baram would take possession of her body." She said lastly, before leaving everyone all bothered about what exactly they are going to do, because this is nothing but a game of do or die.
