Chapter 127: Chapter One Hundred And Twenty-Seven: Everyone Changes With Time.

Mario had moved away from everyone and went outside. He went deep in thought as to what exactly was his next movement from here. He knew what Marya was expecting from him, but he wasn’t ready to give her what she wanted.

Seline wasn’t joking nor was she lying, when she said that they were actually going to need to talk to Marilyn, if they wanted to find Narika. It still came as a shock to him that neither Jason, nor his wife had made it obvious to the media that Adrik isn’t blood related to Jason.

Well, if it was up to him too. He won’t bring such trivial matters out to the public, since it would only lose him his respect in the eyes of the judgemental society. But yet, the big question right here is, does Jason actually know that Adrik isn’t his son?

How exactly did Marilyn meet Lucifer?

Is she human?

Does Lucifer actually exist, or is Seline just making up stories for him to believe?

Does she actually want Narika to be found? She didn’t have the best relationship with her, and so, that could be an important factor in what is actually happening right now. But yet, it doesn’t make any sense that she still carried the grudge of what had occured many years ago, just to have her revenge now that Narika is older.

She said it herself, Narika is a special child, so whatever it is that she’s planning, well if she has other plans about her wouldn’t work out, because Narika is protected by Adrik, and ofcourse, the king of hell, Lucifer.

Mario sighed, before he dipped his hands into his pocket and brought out a pack of cigarettes. She stared at it for a long time, before he kept it back. It’s been a while since he last smoked, and that’s a habit he got from his father, that he dropped since he left home.

He wanted to be a good man for his family, so he didn’t want to end up dying anytime soon because of a lung disease or something. But he wanted..he needed someone to talk things out with.

Someone who isn’t Marya, nor her slutty sister who wants nothing but how she’s going to end up ruining his relationship with his sister.

He was deep in thought, that he didn’t see the incoming car but stood up when he looked closely, it was Hendrix. He stepped out of his car with a smile, making Mario realize how stupid it was of him to not have called him back, since after he has been ringing him up for days now.

He only prayed that Hendrix would understand, but he doubts if he would be willing enough to understand the reason why he had to do what he did, by faking his identity to work for him. It’s time to come clean.

"I’m sorry for not keeping in touch for days, I have been busy." Mario said, coming closer while Hendrix had this uncertain look on his face, that said that he didn’t believe his words for it.

"I understand. How’s everyone? You left home in a rush, and you haven’t given me any assurance to calm my nerves that things are alright here." Hendrix said.

He kept on looking forward to his house, in hope that Narika would come out so that he could be rest assured of what his mind has been telling him, for days now.

But he was disappointed when another female, who looked rather familiar to his wife, came out the balcony, and waved at him in a seductive way that had him rolling his eyes at her.

"I need to talk to you, Hendrix." Mario said, clearing his throat. He had his attention back now.

"Well, I’m here. What is it, Mario? Everyone is worried about you. There’s a lot you still have to round up at work."Hendrix complained, but it was a sign for him to come clean since he wasn’t so sure where this next road after this would lead him to.

He put his hands into his pocket, while trying to curtail how nervous he was. He manned up, before looking at him." I have been lying to you, for a while, Hendrix. I’m not what you think i am."

Hendrix said nothing but stared at him, and it made him rethink what he’s doing. Since he didn’t know what exactly he was thinking.

"If this is about leaving the company. I’m not letting you leave, Nelson Singh." Hendrix said out of the blue, making his eyes widen. He was in shock since he’s sure that Hendrix is the last person who would know who he really is.

"What... how?" Mario stuttered in shock.

Hendrix stepped forward, before smiling briefly at him." I always do deep research about people who work for me. At first, I was really anxious to know why exactly i have the son of the next president of the country working for me. But yet, I had to respect the fact that you didn’t want to expose who you truly are, until now."

Mario nearly gagged at him already calling his dad the next president, when in actual sense if he knew who exactly the kind of man his father is, he wouldn’t hold him in such delight.

"He isn’t the president yet, and i am sure he wouldn’t be." Mario said, and watched the way Hendrix’s eyes sought his eyes in search of answers." I don’t have the kindest relationship with my father. He’s not who people think he is, I had to run away to keep my family safe, but instead trouble never really stops ringing at my doorsteps."

"Where is she? Narika?" Hendrix asked immediately, but Mario wasn’t able to answer at that moment.

So, he had to find out for himself what exactly was going on, he went inside the house insearch of her, while Mario stayed outside since Marya would do the needful by explaining the situation better to him.

He has done his part by telling him the truth, the next step would be meeting his father. But he hoped that he isn’t the same man he is. Being away from him all these years would have made him change into a better version of himself.

But he didn’t know that yet, until they meet first and that would be as soon as possible.

Everyone changes with time, but he isn’t quite sure about his father.
