Narika: The Ghost Bride-Chapter 134 - One Hundred And Thirty-Four: He’s A Traitor!
Lucifer’s palace.
The Underworld, Hell.
~~~
A relieved sigh escaped Nina’s lips, after seeing Adrik’s body finally relax after taking five shots of the drugs that would kill a normal human body, if they took more than two dosages.
But Adrik’s strong cell was fighting against the drug, which had left her with no option than to inject him with the drugs until he finally fell asleep. But yet, she still didn’t have any answer as to if he’s going to be asleep for a long time or if the drug would wear out soon.
But seeing as he was in a deep slumber, it gave her hope that the drugs were kicking in, whereas it was obvious to not just her, but Lucifer who chose to ignore Azazel’s suggestion to get Narika here, seeing his mate would help calm him down from destroying his palace.
But no!
He chose not to listen to anyone’s idea but his own, which was keeping Narika away from him until Baram takes full control of her body.
"Until when do we have until he wakes up?" He asked Nina who was parking her equipment. Her back was facing him so he didn’t see the scowl on Nina’s face towards Adrik, who was asleep.
She was angry at him.
He got Sakura knocked up, but here he was sleeping while his father had plans with his chosen Mate. That would only mean more heartbreak than ever once Sakura wakes up, but just like Oregon has said aborting the child was the only way to keep her alive, away from Lucifer’s wrath.
"To be frank my Lord, I don’t have a specific time to say about his condition. His case is just as new to me and it would take me a long time to understand his body cells. He’s unlike the normal demons here, he’s complicated."
"Nina, I don’t care about his cells fighting back the medications or anything. All i need is you keeping him induced until the girl is here. Don’t you have any other way of doing that?" Lucifer scratched his jaw, he looked as if he was thinking about something while he’s nothing but a good actor, who hid the part where he kept Narika at Oregon’s place.
"I am afraid there’s nothing i can do. His mating ritual is fast approaching, and i can’t risk having his body induced with too many drugs. He’s going to mate with the girl that night. Nothing can go wrong, my lord." Nina reminded him about the incoming ritual ceremony that was two days away.
On that special night, Adrik would mate with Narika to prove the prophecy worthy. He would breed his evil essence into the descendant of the first witch, who would bear hell its first savior. Their child would become a weapon of war, through him Hell’s strength would grow more, and get its needed respect from other dimensions. Especially the crystal palace.
"Fine, I don’t care more about what you think it’s right to do,Nina. But i can’t watch him continue to kill his subjects if he fails to control his rage. Who knows the next person he would kill, if he mistakenly wakes up?"
"Then i suggest getting his mate here is the only solution, you can’t keep her away from him you know." Nina bravely said, and that made Lucifer look at her instantly before looking at Adrian’s way, to see that he was still unconscious but that doesn’t mean that he isn’t hearing their conversation.
His sharp hearing would pick on the words that just came out of Nina’s mouth. So, he turned to demand from Nina where she heard such fallacy from, since he was keen on acting as if what she heard isn’t the truth.
None of them noticed that Adrik was already up, but when Lucifer’s peripheral vision could notice him, it was too late. He knocked his father out of his way here grabbing Nina, as a loud scream left her lips before disappearing into thin air.
"No...no.. where is he?" Lucifer rise up from the floor, he looked around the dungeon which was meant to be Adrik’s prison until his making ritual only to find out that he’s all alone. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
He yelled for the attention of his guards, who rushed into his room immediately with his other children trailing behind them.
"My Lord, is everything alright?" Amos, the head of his army, asked while Abaddon ran his eyes all over the place to see the damage that has been done.
"Search the perimeter. The prince has lost control of his beast. He has the royal specialist and i think they are headed for Oregon’s palace." Lucifer commanded, while Amos gave out the other needed order and his army was out before he could say anything further.
"Why would he go to Oregon’s palace, when Narika is in crystal palace? I would suggest him use his rage to storm in there and save his mate. Why send the army to Oregon’s palace?" Dagan asked his father, it was at this point that he remembered Azazel telling him that he was acting strange.
"I have a task for you, Abbadon." Lucifer turned to his son, who’s eyes glistened under the light to see the smirk forming on his face. He always loves his father’s errand, as it always ends with him getting satisfaction from hurting people.
"I’m at your service, father." He kissed his stretched hand, before turning to glare at Dagan who always seemed to question their fathers action, instead of learning from him.
"I nedd you to bring someone to me..unharmed." Lucifer emphasized much on the unharmed because he knew the sort of person Abbadon was, but it was better he sent him instead of going there himself, since he didn’t know when Adrik would be coming back for him.
"How does that help with Adrik? We need to do something father? His ritual is just two days away, the council would act if he’s not present with the girl." Azazel reminded him.
But the only thing Lucifer did was smile, he didn’t seem affected by that. "I don’t think you are ready for my answers, but i would do well to answer." He said, turning to face his children.
"Adrik was planning with Oregon to run away with the child."
"Well, I’m not surprised. He’s not a full fledged demon. He’s weak to protect hell. Why would he be chosen for the prophecy?" Abaddon snickered.
"He’s still our brother regardless, but we have to stop him. He is still confused about all these, father." Ramiel added.
But Lucifer shaked his head in disapproval. " A son of Lucifer must understand that his responsibility comes first before any other thing. He’s a traitor and he has to be treated as equally as any one of you who would do the same."
"He’s the chosen one!" Dagan reminded him, but it was clear to both him, Azazel and Ramiel that their father had other plans for Adrik.
"Exactly why he needs to come to his senses, and for that.." Lucifer turned to face Abbadon. " I need you to bring his mother here."
"What!!" The twins, and Dagan asked, puzzled.
"He might have succeeded in running away with the girl, but in order to bring him over for the mating ritual. We need his alibi. So, I need you guys to prepare for the safety arrival of your stepmother."
He said happily, as if that was why news because none of them saw what was happening right now coming. But just like he said, Adrik is a traitor and he has to face the consequences.
Everyone believed him, and he couldn’t help but smile at their stupidity.
