Narika: The Ghost Bride-Chapter 137 - One Hundred And Thirty-Seven: Her Father Is Going To Kill Him.
Jason was in the same car with his father in-law outside the estate, after a full day with him making it up to his daughter for having been the one to issue the order to let her go to the party.
He was the only person left, Marilyn had left after giving her father the initiative that they weren’t on good terms, and he’s sure that it’s not going to be long before her father starts to preach to him, about the necessity to keep his daughter happy.
Jason was sick and tired of following him around like an underdog. He was tired of having to pretend that he likes him, he has had enough with putting up with his attitude, at reminding him at every point that he’s not the one who he had intended for his daughter in the first place.
So, here they were with him having to be stuck in the car, with his father-in-law who hasn’t said anything yet, but continues to make himself busy with the weed in his hands and staring at him as if he’s the one who’s in charge of Vanessa’s incident.
He’s sure that Mr. Sergie doesn’t have any idea, about his biggest dream of taking over the family business rather than his daughter, he wouldn’t be able to see Marilyn rule over him. A woman! He’s put up with enough of the attitudes.
Especially her father, had it been that the man sitting in front of him didn’t have the power to ruin his political career, he would have revealed to him his biggest secret that’s sure to ruin the unity in the family.
The motherfucker has no idea that Adrik, the son who was loved by everyone is the son of some other man, who till date Marilyn was doing a good job by keeping his identity a secret. That’s also another reason why he had to be careful around her since he had no proof to his accusations.
Even if it comes down to making it known to the world that he’s not Adrik’s real father, it was very obvious that Sergie would always back his daughter and get rid of him. This was why he had chosen to pursue a political career, he wanted to make a name for himself that has nothing to do with Sergei Monroe.
That’s to show how important blood ties are, the only thing he has was his daughter, Vanessa, and he’s not sure of him leaving with her if things get complicated. The man has left a really good impact on his daughter, that it’s gonna be hard separating her from her grandfather. She has no idea that he’s considering divorcing her mother.
"So, what is it with Marilyn? I understand the fact that you are trying your best to make her forget about Adrik, and Vanessa coming back home was also part of the plan. But right now, I’m forced to think that this is about something else." Sergie said, rubbing his jaw as he sat with his legs crossed over one another, while Jason couldn’t wait for this interrogation to be over.
"We fight, and we reconcile. I believe that’s what makes us a couple, father." Jason replied simply.
He didn’t want to elongate the conversation, until his next question made him know what exactly is on his mind.
"Are you cheating on my daughter, Jason?" Sergei asked, with deep hooded eyes which were accessing him from head to toe to read his body language.
"Of course not, I love Marilyn. I wouldn’t cheat on her, even in death." Jason blurted out, leaving a blank emotion on his face while Sergie smiled before nodding his head to affirm his answer.
"I’m glad that i wouldn’t be killing anyone anytime soon enough, if not Alex’s son..my men inside have said that he’s kept his security tight and there has been no sight of his son. It’s not surprising that he had taken him out of the country. He called for war the moment he openly tried to kidnap my daughter."
Sergei explained, a hard look on his face that made it known to Jason that it wouldn’t be just words this time around. Alex would pay for what he had done, and that would end with Adrian being buried alive six feet under the grave.
"Any plans yet on killing Adrian, it’s not going to be easy, father. If anything, I suggest waiting until the election is over, so we can’t draw unnecessary attention to ourselves. Everyone’s knew about our ugly past with..."
"So you care more about the election than your daughter? Tell me Jason, would you still be thinking about the election if truly he had hurt Vanessa?" Sergie asked angrily.
"That’s not what i mean, father. I was..."
"Ofcourse, I understand exactly what you are trying to say and you are the biggest fool on earth to think about any goddamn election to take Alex down. Get out!"
Sergie ordered, and he wasted no seconds to leave his car, he paid his last respect to him before he left for his house.
When he went in, everywhere was silent and he went to his daughter’s room first. She was already sleeping when he opened her room. He laughed at her bad sleeping habits. She’s had the weirdest sleeping position.
Jason pecked her lips, before leaving her room halfway to close her door. He heard some shuffling upstairs before Marilyn shouting for help.
"Let me go! Tell Lucifer, I am not leaving!!" He heard her shouting, as he tried coming into their room but the door was shut tightly.
"Marilyn!" He shouted, pushing at his door with his body but the door didn’t bugged, while Marilyn’s screaming got louder.
"Jason!! Let me go!" Marilyn called for him, until her shouts ceased and there was nothing but silence.
He pushed one more time, but this time the door opened and he met an empty room with its disorientated state. There was no sight of Marilyn.
It didn’t look as if she was in here moments ago, shouting for his help and whoever was inside with her to leave her alone.
Lucifer.
That’s his name, the person who she called before she disappeared into thin air. He raised an alarm immediately when he searched around his room. He ordered his men to search around the perimeter. Alex had Marilyn, there’s no denying it.
Jason was disturbed.
In a span of a day, Vanessa was almost kidnapped and Marilyn disappeared into thin air. Her father is going to kill him!
