Chapter 160: Chapter One Hundred And Sixty:Get Out!

"What the hell do you think you are doing?" Narika spat the moment they entered their room, after Adrik had disgraced her out there just because she received a flower and an invitation to join the feast going on tonight.

Yeah she understood the need for him to interfere, due to the fact that they were fake married and he still wanted everyone to know that while they were still here, but keeping a low profile doesn’t include going to the feast that is going to include everyone in Sekè to see her.

But that doesn’t explain the rudeness that came along, with the way he had talked to that boy. He just gave her a flower, it’s not like he kissed her or what, but he has chosen to threaten the poor boy in addition which made him scurry away in fear of his life.

Like what the hell!

When Adrik gave her no initiative to say that he was ready to talk to her, she yanked him to face her, before saying." What was the meaning of that out there?"

"I should be the one asking you that, because if i wasn’t on time to cut whatever foolishness that gave that idiot the idea that you are going on a date with him, you would have accepted his offer." Adrik had no option to speak, since he figured out that she’s not going to let this sweep under the carpet, just like he wouldn’t allow it either.

He saw red at seeing her smile at that ingrate, and the guts of her to accept his flowers. What exactly was she thinking?

All he wanted to do right there was to punish the ingrate, and teach him a very good lesson he wouldn’t forget for the rest of his life, so that the next time he sees or hear Narika’s name it would remind him of the consequences of him, to think that he could steal her away from him.

It was really frustrating, having to deal with this new feeling he had towards Narika. Heck! She hasn’t even given him a definite answer towards his confession so that made him really angry when he saw her with that boy.

That boy!

He was no man, and if he’s right. There’s no fucking way she would be attracted to the likes of him, but it seems that he assumed wrongly because she was defending him by the next words to leave her lips, making him more angry than ever.

"Are you for real, Adrik. It was nothing but a harmless act. He offered me flowers, it’s not like i was going to give him the impression that would lead him on with whatever it is he thinks he’s going to have with me."

"Yeah, a harmless act. Yet you accepted his flowers, what were you expecting him to think, Narika? You were about to accept his proposal to that date!"Adrik added, it still doesn’t sit right with him that she’s arguing with him about this. If anything, she was supposed to thank him for standing up for her, because that’s what she couldn’t do.

She couldn’t speak for herself.

"It was not a date, Jesus! I’m so done with you attacking me with your words as if i have to answer to you. Think whatever you want, but i must warn you to refrain from doing things you think are right for me, i am not kid!" She warned him, he was treating her like a kid and it’s irritating.

Yeah, she could understand that he’s trying to protect her, but he should also understand that she has a life before she met him and she’s not a kid! A twenty two year old is not a kid!

"I would do anything i feel like as long as it is to protect you..."Adrian still proved stubborn, and that irritated her further.

"Then don’t panic when you wake up the next day, and you won’t see me here any more." She said, turning to leave but he yanked her by her arm.

"You will do no such thing, you will not leave Narika, you will not leave me! You hear me!" Adrik roared, losing control of himself that Narika hissed from how tight he held her.

His eyes changed color and turned red, making her panic because the last thing she would need was him to lose control and cause them to be evacuated from Sekè, if he doesn’t control his anger.

But he’s been stupid.

Like really stupid!

She answers to no one, and that includes him. He can’t treat her like some possession just because of some stupid prophecy that tied the two of them together.

"Let me go, you are hurting me." She cried, trying to yank her arm free from his tight hold, but that gave off the wrong impression to Adrik, who had totally lost control of himself, because his heart snarled at the thoughts of her leaving them.

"You belong to me, I don’t care whatever it is you think we are. But Narika, I wouldn’t let any human, or creatures come in between us. If i have to tie you to me, just so it would entail that you don’t run away, I will do that." Adrian roared, scarring her further that this time tears were flowing down her face, because he’s a bully.

A big bad bully!

The moment Adrik saw her tears, something snapped in him and he came back to his senses only to release her, making her shudder away from him instantly.

"Sweetgirl, I’m...’’He tried to apologize, while making the mistake of coming close to her when she was avoiding him.

"Stay away from me." She yelled.

He stilled where he was, as a wave of guilt swept right through him. He didn’t know what had happened, but when he saw her tears he came back to his senses.

"Babygirl, I’m sorry. I swear, I didn’t know what came over me, I would never hurt you, sweet girl." He confessed, but she wasn’t having it.

"Get out," she said softly, while looking away from his face. She didn’t want to make him believe that she’s not angry because she was angry at him.

"Narika.."

"Get out, you are not sleeping here with me tonight. Get out!" She said, and this time he wasted no time to leave while she closed the door behind her, before falling to the ground with her eyes full of tears.

She didn’t choose any of this, she didn’t choose this kind of life but what is she going to do?

Everything is so messed up!
