Naruto drinking makes me stronger-Chapter 35: Playing With Snakes
Chapter 35 - Playing With Snakes
Orochimaru's slit-like pupils narrowed as he observed Youyu. He had expected the boy to be crude, but the sheer disdain in his voice was something else entirely.
"Playing with snakes, huh? Disgusting," Youyu sneered.
The corner of Orochimaru's mouth twitched. He had read reports about Youyu's foul mouth, but experiencing it firsthand was another matter. To be insulted so brazenly before the fight had even begun—how infuriating.
Orochimaru, who had originally intended to test Youyu's strength, changed his mind. This brat needed to be taught a lesson. With a flick of his wrist, he sent a shuriken flying toward Youyu. The moment it left his fingers, it split into thousands—a hailstorm of deadly steel raining down, covering every inch of space around Youyu.
"Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu."
It was an inescapable net, the sheer number making dodging impossible. At least, it should have been.
Orochimaru expected Youyu to cut them down. Instead, his eyes widened in shock as the boy didn't swing his blade at all.
Youyu flowed through the storm of steel like a falling leaf on a gentle breeze. Each movement was unnaturally precise, gliding through openings that shouldn't exist.
"Impossible," Orochimaru muttered. Even elite Uchiha with three-tomoe Sharingan couldn't perform such an intricate evasion. This wasn't mere instinct—it was something far beyond what a normal shinobi could do.
"You done?" Youyu cracked his neck, rolling his shoulders. "Good. My turn."
Before Orochimaru could react, Youyu vanished. A blur of motion, a sharp glint of his blade, and suddenly the sannin was on the defensive. Orochimaru barely managed to twist his body, replacing himself with a log in time.
"Substitution Jutsu!"
The log splintered, cleaved apart by Youyu's swing. Orochimaru reappeared in the trees, golden eyes locking onto the monster in human form below him.
He didn't get a moment to breathe. Youyu whirled mid-air, his sword howling as another slash tore through the forest. A dark purple arc, ten meters high, surged toward him.
Orochimaru leapt away, barely dodging the attack. The moment his feet touched the ground, Youyu was already there. His sword came down with a terrifying weight, cutting off every possible escape route.
Orochimaru had never felt so pressured in close combat.
"Damn it, he's reading my every move," he thought, kunai flashing in his hand. Chakra surged through the blade, enhancing it with Wind Release—the sharpest of all chakra natures.
The kunai met Youyu's sword—
SNAP.
Orochimaru stared in disbelief as his kunai split in half like brittle glass. His Wind-enhanced edge, meant to cut through anything, had been sliced apart with zero resistance.
"This sword—no, it's more than that. He's using something else."
But there was no time to analyze. Orochimaru saw the next strike coming and knew he couldn't parry it.
"The Twin Snakes!"
A massive serpentine beast, over a hundred meters long, erupted from the ground, its fangs glistening with venom as it lunged at Youyu. Most shinobi would have hesitated. Even jounin would have been forced to retreat.
Youyu?
He growled in irritation and swung his blade.
"Lion's Elegy."
A single, clean slash bisected the massive serpent down the middle.
Orochimaru felt his stomach drop. This wasn't just power—it was absurd.
"This level of cutting strength... it's on a completely different scale."
Youyu's scarlet eyes burned with raw aggression. He didn't stop to gloat. He didn't wait for Orochimaru to respond. He attacked again.
Orochimaru barely dodged, his instincts screaming as another massive slash obliterated the ground where he had stood a fraction of a second ago. He tried summoning more snakes.
It didn't matter.
Every single one was cut down instantly.
"You little—!" Orochimaru hissed as Youyu closed in again, his strikes relentless. He was on the backfoot, something that hadn't happened in years.
In the Hokage's office, silence reigned.
Jiraiya let out a slow breath. "Damn. This kid's insane."
The Hokage clenched his fists. He had underestimated Youyu's growth. He had expected strength—but not this.
Orochimaru, one of the strongest shinobi in the world, was being overpowered.
"He has to stop," the Hokage muttered. "Before this gets out of control."

Jiraiya gave him a look. "And how do you plan on stopping that?"
Neither of them had an answer.
Back in the Forest of Death, Orochimaru made a split-second decision. He needed to end this fight.
With a flick of his fingers, he threw a kunai high into the air.
"Summoning Jutsu!"
The air twisted—and then a massive three-headed serpent emerged, its monstrous form coiling around the battlefield. A distraction. That's all he needed. One moment to gain control of the fight.
"You want to play with snakes, huh?" Youyu cracked his neck.
He wasn't dodging this time.
He was going straight through.
