Naruto: Dual-Pupil Uchiha-Chapter 251 - 250 : Deidara Expelled??
Chapter 251 - 250 : Deidara Expelled??
"Uncle Shin, why are you staring at me like that?"
Genya noticed Uchiha Shin looking at him with that strange gaze, and he couldn't help but blink in response.
He had a feeling Uchiha Shin's eyes were not right when looking at him.
"Genya... did you go last night..." Uchiha Shin started, but then stopped halfway through his sentence. After all, they were in the land of Iwagakure, so there was no need to say it too clearly.
Cough, cough
"Yesterday, I went with Brother Deidara to watch an exciting battle. That person in the black robe was strong!" Genya interrupted Uchiha Shin's words, reminding him not to say too much.
There were other people in the room!
"Right, right... you went to watch the battle!" Uchiha Shin and Genya exchanged a knowing glance, and neither of them continued the conversation.
However, Hikari, who was nearby, already knew what they were talking about. It seemed that the disturbance from last night had indeed been caused by Genya.
And so, they continued chatting, but only about matters concerning the merchant caravan.
Because of the disturbance yesterday, the Merchant Association escort team might have to stay in Iwagakure for another two days, waiting for the village to resolve some lingering issues before dealing with the association's business.
Genya could only feel helpless and wait in Iwagakure.
As they chatted, Genya looked ahead. "An old acquaintance has arrived!"
He murmured softly.
Uchiha Shin and Hikari also turned their gazes toward the front, where two figures, one tall and one short, were walking toward them.
It was Onoki and his son Kitsuchi!
Both looked quite gloomy, clearly dealing with some unpleasant matters.
"Where is Deidara?" Onoki looked at Genya and the others, asking in a deep voice.
Due to the chaos from yesterday, many civilians have come to the Tsuchikage's office to voice their concerns. They believe Deidara is also a troublemaker. During the unrest in Iwagakure, they argue, potential threats like him must be eliminated!
This view has gained support from many high-ranking officials in Iwagakure.
Now, the Tsuchikage couldn't afford to give Deidara any leniency. He needed to leave Iwagakure under the public eye to stabilize the village.
"He's still sleeping!" Genya pointed to the room while looking at Onoki.
Sleeping?
Onoki raised an eyebrow, then glanced at the man beside him, Kitsuchi.
Kitsuchi nodded, walked past Genya and the others, and went inside. A short while later, he came out, dragging a sleepy-eyed Deidara behind him.
"Uncle Kitsuchi, what's the meaning of this? You pulled me out while I was still asleep!" Deidara rubbed his eyes and said in disbelief.
Deidara was still half-asleep at this point.
"Deidara, after a decision from the higher-ups in Iwagakure, because of your unpredictability, they've decided you must live at least fifty miles outside the village!" Onoki said, looking sternly at Deidara, emphasizing each word. "You need to leave now."
"Fifty miles?" Deidara snapped awake at this and asked, "Why?"
Why?
He had been planning to build a small house near the village and live a peaceful life, away from any distractions, allowing him to focus on his art. But now, they were forcing him to leave Iwagakure completely.
"This is the decision of the higher-ups in Iwagakure. Please carry it out immediately!" Onoki didn't explain further, his tone leaving no room for argument.
"Iwagakure doesn't want to officially issue an expulsion order for you!"
He understood the villagers' concerns. Allowing Deidara to remain just outside the village might still pose a threat to Iwagakure. It would be better to have Deidara leave the area entirely.
"You..." Deidara was frustrated. He was also from Iwagakure, so why should he be treated like this?
"This guy is finally leaving!"
"Lord Tsuchikage is amazing. Having him as a neighbor made me nervous every day."
"Exactly. The explosions scared me half to death, always worried I'd get caught in one. Now, this guy is finally gone!"
"With the current turmoil in Iwagakure, it's good to clear up some potential dangers."
"Finally, some peace..."
Since it was daytime, many people gathered when they saw Onoki. When they heard that Deidara was being expelled, many clapped in approval.
Indeed,
Deidara had affected them.
Deidara listened to the conversations around him, his eyes, once filled with shock, now became somewhat resigned.
It was clear now—he couldn't stay in Iwagakure any longer.
"Sigh," Genya also felt helpless. Deidara was like an uncontrollable Tailed Beast, with explosions that could harm others at any moment. Being rejected was understandable.
At least he was better off than Naruto, who had been treated worse in the village.
"Still not leaving?" Onoki said to Deidara, his words firm. "Remember, fifty miles away from Iwagakure!"
"Hmph, fine. I'll leave. I don't want to stay in this crappy place anyway!" Deidara was angry and didn't want to waste time with them anymore. He threw out a clay bird and leaped onto it, controlling the bird as he flew away.
As he soared into the sky, he glanced back at Genya. "Genya, don't forget our promise. When you return, come check on your old buddy!"
Even after leaving, he still remembered his promise with Genya. Of course, with their deep friendship, he wouldn't really take action against him. He just wanted to teach Genya a lesson, to see if he was stronger than him.
"Naturally... I'll find you!" Genya smiled and nodded. Since Deidara hadn't invited him, he would go on his own.
With Genya's agreement, Deidara controlled his clay bird to fly toward Iwagakure.
The people of Iwagakure watched as the white clay bird flew across the sky toward their village, feeling a bit lonely.
"Boring... Let's leave!" Seeing Deidara leave, Genya turned to lead Uchiha Shin and Hikari away.
"Wait a minute, kid!" Onoki called out to Genya.
"Uh, is there something you need, Lord Tsuchikage?" Genya stopped, turned, and asked.
Onoki frowned as he looked at Genya. "You should leave now."
He didn't like seeing Uchiha clan members. Whenever he saw them, it irritated him.
"I want to leave too, but... tell your people to hurry up and finish the delivery, and we'll leave immediately!" Genya was firm in his response to Onoki's order.
After speaking, he didn't want to waste any more time with Onoki and led Hikari and the others away.
Onoki didn't say anything more, but as he watched Genya's figure retreating, his brow furrowed. There was something familiar about that figure.
As Genya's silhouette blurred further, the feeling grew stronger.
It resembled the figure of the man in the black cloak he fought last night. It was almost identical in Onoki's mind.
A sense of confusion filled his mind.
Shaking his head, Onoki looked at Kitsuchi beside him. "Last night, where was that Uchiha kid?"
