[Cornered, Jiraiya found himself surrounded by a dozen of the regenerating hellhounds.]

[Gamaken sat panting on the ground, exhausted. "I've done all I can," he rasped.]

["Leave it to me," Jiraiya said calmly.]

[As the pack of hellhounds lunged, Jiraiya used a Reverse Summoning technique, transporting himself and the hounds directly into the esophagus of a giant toad.]

[The seemingly unkillable hellhounds were instantly crushed by the constricting walls of the toad's gullet!]

[Hidden inside his chameleon summon, the Animal Path Pain grudgingly admired Jiraiya's resourcefulness and vast arsenal of ninjutsu. However, he wasn't finished yet.]

["Summoning Jutsu: Giant Drill-Beaked Bird!"]

[Instantly, a massive bird with a formidable, drill-like beak descended from the sky, rocketing towards Gamaken at incredible speed.]

[Boom! Gamaken intercepted it with his sasumata shield, but the bird's power was overwhelming. He was thrown back tens of meters, crashing hard onto the ground.]

[Finally, Jiraiya saw an opening. Ducking into an alley, he lured the bird into a trap and incinerated it with a powerful Fire Style jutsu!]

[Before Jiraiya could catch his breath, a giant rhino materialized, charging him relentlessly. It crashed through the alleyway with surprising speed.]

["You're really something else, Nagato!" Jiraiya thought grimly. "But my preparations are almost complete."]

[Just then, Gamaken rejoined the fight, intercepting the rhino and buying Jiraiya the precious seconds he needed to finish gathering natural energy!]

[But as they regrouped, a massive Giant Ox charged wildly towards Jiraiya.]

["Gamaken, fall back!" Jiraiya commanded calmly.]

["Right! I'm at my limit anyway."]

[With a puff of smoke, Gamaken disappeared.]

The Fourth Raikage slammed his fist down. "Damn it! Does this Pain guy run a zoo or something?!"

Killer Bee whipped out his notepad, licking his pencil. "Zoo, rhino, ox, crab, big bird beak! Got the flow for my next rap, oh yeah! Uh-huh Oh yeah!"

Ōnoki stroked his beard: "Just one Path is pushing Jiraiya this hard... And according to intel from our dealings with Akatsuki, there are six Paths of Pain in total!"

Kurotsuchi: "Six Pains? All with the same name? That's bizarre!"

Tsunade watched the screen, her fists clenched nervously. Though she often cursed his foolishness and incorrigible behaviour, at this critical moment, she desperately hoped he wouldn't get hurt.

"Jiraiya... don't you dare disgrace the name of the Sannin!"

[The charging ox slammed Jiraiya through a large industrial pipe, kicking up a cloud of dust and debris.]

[Just as the Animal Path wondered at the silence within the smoke, fierce flames erupted from the broken pipe, blasting the ox backward.]

[The scene momentarily cleared. Pain blinked, confused about what had just occurred inside.]

[Thud... Thud... Thud... Heavy footsteps echoed, growing louder.]

[Three figures emerged from the darkness within the pipe. As they stepped into the light, it was revealed to be Jiraiya, flanked by Fukasaku and Shima - the two Great Toad Sages!]

[Fukasaku and Shima spoke in unison: "Behold! The Gallant Jiraiya!"

Jiraiya declared: "Sage Mode - On!"]

[As the words echoed, BOOM!]

[Jiraiya landed lightly, yet the ground beneath him cratered from the sheer pressure of his newly gathered power. A palpable aura of immense Senjutsu chakra radiated outwards!]

As Jiraiya entered Sage Mode, Tsunade's tense shoulders relaxed slightly. Though they were both Sannin, she knew that in terms of raw power, Sage Mode Jiraiya was arguably the strongest. In this state, his attack power, defensive capabilities, and sensory skills were all drastically enhanced, leaving virtually no weaknesses.

"You'd better be careful, Jiraiya," Tsunade murmured, a flicker of confidence returning.

watching Jiraiya enter Sage Mode, Orochimaru commented with a hint of envy.

"Hmph. Jiraiya may be a fool, but he always stumbles into remarkable power."

"If only I could master the Sage Arts of Ryūchi Cave... My own power would increase significantly!"

"Unfortunately, the White Snake Sage of Ryūchi Cave is notoriously difficult..."

Jiraiya grinned at Naruto through the screen connection. "See that, Naruto? That's Sage Mode! Pretty cool, huh?"

Naruto looked at the screen, noticing Jiraiya's pupils had become horizontal bars, like a toad's, and red markings had appeared around his eyes and nose. He looked... strange.

He wrinkled his nose in distaste. "Whoa, Sage Mode looks kinda weird! Sakura-chan would definitely think I look goofy like that!"

Jiraiya (via the screen connection, perhaps) seemed to react. "You knucklehead! Just wait 'til you see what Sage Mode can do!"
