Rain pattered on the newly laid tiles of the Amegakure houses, sliding down the eaves and converging into trickles in the stone-built gutters.

Hanzo stood at the top of the iron tower, looking down at Amegakure below him.

This was the first time in months he had the opportunity to quietly observe the village in its entirety.

The rain stopped quickly. The sun barely pierced through the clouds.

Hanzo took a deep breath, the air carried the unique freshness after the rain.

"Hanzo-sama." A familiar voice sounded from behind him.

Yushi walked onto the platform extending from the iron tower. He approached Hanzo from behind, and slightly bowed.

Yushi was in charge of overseeing the entire village's reconstruction. It could be said that no one in the entire village knew every brick and tile of the reconstructed Amegakure better than him.

"How is the progress?" Hanzo asked, his gaze still fixed on the village below.

Yushi stood beside Hanzo, reporting each detail, "The school finished installing the last batch of desks and chairs yesterday."

"Thirty houses on the east side of the residential area are ready for occupancy, and another fifteen in the west district are expected to be completed by next week."

"The hospital has started operating. Although there aren't many medical ninjas yet, there will be more and more in the future."

Hanzo nodded, a hint of satisfaction flashing in his eyes. His gaze softened considerably.

From a high vantage point, it could be seen that Amegakure's reconstruction had made astonishing progress.

The districts destroyed by war now featured rows of simple but sturdy houses, all with uniform dark gray tiled roofs and stone-built walls, making them both waterproof and durable.

The formerly deserted streets now had people moving about. Not just ninjas, but more civilians.

Elders sat under the porches watching the street, women carried baskets, strolling through the temporary market, and several children were chasing and playing on the newly paved stone roads.

Only Hanzo and the Ame ninjas involved in the reconstruction knew how much effort they had put in for this scene to come to fruition.

The people of the Land of Rain finally believed that peace had at last descended upon this weathered land.

"Let's go down and see." Hanzo turned and walked towards the stairs.

Yushi followed closely behind him.

The two descended the iron tower and entered the street.

The sun had by now completely pierced through the clouds, shining on the still damp stone road. A rainbow even appeared in the sky.

The sudden appearance of the rainbow made the children chasing and playing on the street stop their actions. They all looked up at the sky in unison, pointing at the rainbow and shouting.

"A rainbow!"

"What a beautiful rainbow!"

...

Their excited voices echoed throughout the entire street.

Hanzo and Yushi's gazes also followed, the rainbow reflected in their eyes.

Several children chased the rainbow, running past them, almost bumping into Yushi. They had no idea that the two ninjas passing by were the leaders of the village.

Excited shouts brushed past Hanzo. Hanzo's gaze shifted from the rainbow, following the children's receding figures.

At this moment, an unspeakable emotion surged in his heart.

Wasn't it for the sake of all the children in the Land of Rain being able to run freely on the streets that he decided to expel the ninjas of the Great Nations from the Land of Rain in the first place?

This scene now represented that their goal had been achieved.

To protect the newborn Amegakure, he was willing to give everything. He would absolutely not allow anyone to disrupt the current peace and tranquility of the Land of Rain.

Hanzo and Yushi continued forward, passing a row of newly completed residential houses. Each house's design was basically the same.

A two-story structure, with the living area and kitchen on the ground floor, and bedrooms upstairs.

Simple and practical.

Hanzo saw potted plants or wind chimes hanging at the entrances of some houses.

The breath of life was slowly returning to this scarred land.

Hanzo and Yushi turned the corner and arrived at the commercial district. This was the busiest part of the village.

Various goods were displayed on temporary stalls: vegetables, hand-woven baskets, tools...

The air was filled with the aroma of steamed buns, vegetable pancakes, and various foods.

Hanzo and Yushi stood among the crowd, able to hear people's conversations.

"The school is enrolling next month, is your child going?"

Women walked together, most of them discussing the recent school enrollment.

"Of course. Before, there was no place to send children to school. Now that a school has appeared, why wouldn't they go?"

"I also hope my child has ninja talent."

"The ninjas brought peace to the Land of Rain. I hope my child can become a ninja who protects this peace in the future."

"Well said. But this is indeed true. So many ninjas sacrificed themselves for our peace, and it deserves to be well protected."

"I still can't believe Hanzo-sama actually drove those ninjas out."

"Yes. Who would have thought Hanzo-sama would actually drive out the ninjas from those Great Nations?"

"Now our Land of Rain has truly restored peace, and it will never again become a battlefield for these Great Nations to fight."

"We misunderstood Hanzo-sama back then. Looking back now, declaring war on the Five Great Nations was beneficial for generations to come."

"Our Land of Rain will also be a country protected by ninjas from now on, and there will be no more wars."

...

Hanzo and Yushi passed through the crowd, a sparkle in both their eyes. They walked towards the newly built ninja school.

The ninja school was a long, three-story building, currently considered the largest building in Amegakure. The school classrooms had large windows and multiple exits. The playground had been leveled, but the training facilities were not yet fully installed.

Hanzo entered the main building. The corridor was spacious and bright, with neat classroom doors on both sides.

Each classroom was equipped with a blackboard and student desks and chairs. Although simple, they were sufficient for use.

Yushi explained to Hanzo as he followed him, "Each classroom can accommodate fifty students. There are ten regular classrooms on the first floor, and five specialized classrooms and a library on the second floor. Books for the library are still being collected, but there are already nearly a thousand volumes..."

Hanzo walked into a classroom, his fingers tracing the desktop.

His steps suddenly stopped and a figure emerged in his mind.
