Naruto: Transmigrating With Yuta's Template-Chapter 194: Sasori’s Forever
"This... how is this possible?" A young Anbu blurted out.
Only when his voice echoed in the cold air did he realize the foolishness of his action.
He was questioning the Kazekage!
The Third Kazekage’s gaze swept over the Anbu present, his eyes settling on the young Anbu who had spoken.
"Akasuna, without my command, returned to Sunagakure from the front lines, claiming to have secret intel to report, but then tried to kill me when I wasn’t paying attention."
The Anbus immediately knelt on one knee. "We are late, please forgive us, Kazekage-sama."
The Third Kazekage waved his hand lightly and said, "There’s no need to blame yourselves. Even if you had arrived, you wouldn’t have been able to deal with him. If I hadn’t been prepared, I probably wouldn’t have been able to resist either."
His gaze fell on Akasuna’s corpse, a flicker of an imperceptible, strange light in his eyes.
"Take the body away. Arrange for a proper burial. After all, he once rendered great service to Sunagakure."
"Yes."
Two Anbu rose and carefully walked towards Akasuna’s corpse.
The Third Kazekage’s gaze swept over the Anbu ninjas as he said, "Clean up the office. I don’t want this incident to cause unnecessary panic."
"Yes!"
The Anbu ninjas immediately began to busy themselves.
After entrusting the messy office to the Anbu, the Third Kazekage returned to his residence.
In the room, the Third Kazekage or rather, Kenjaku, who had taken over the Third Kazekage’s body, was looking at his new face in the mirror.
The forehead protector had been removed. Kenjaku’s fingers gently traced the stitches on his forehead, a satisfied smile on his lips.
"A good vessel." Kenjaku murmured to himself, his voice identical to the Third Kazekage’s, but his tone lacked the Third Kazekage’s coldness and severity.
"Magnet Release Kekkei Genkai, the power and status of the Kazekage..."
"This truly is a body without flaws from every perspective."
Kenjaku closed his eyes, feeling the power of this new body.
The Third Kazekage’s Magnet Release was powerful. But more importantly, his identity was also very good.
As the Kage of a village, he now had the authority to mobilize all the resources of Sunagakure.
A black crow landed on his shoulder, gently pecking at his hair.
The Third Kazekage stroked the crow’s smooth feathers, patiently reassuring it, "Don’t rush."
The desert wind began to howl, kicking up sand.
The next day.
The first rays of dawn dispelled the night over Sunagakure.
The door to Chiyo’s two-story house was gently knocked upon.
"Just a moment."
Chiyo, who was accompanying Sasori in making a puppet, responded calmly, though for some reason, an ominous premonition suddenly welled up in her heart.
She glanced at Sasori, who was focused on manipulating his puppet, suppressed the uneasy feeling in her heart, and slowly rose.
She opened the door to find three masked Anbu standing outside. The leading Anbu slightly bowed.
"Chiyo-sama." The Anbu’s voice came through his mask, unusually deep.
Chiyo’s gaze swept over the three, and her heart sank.
"What is it?" Chiyo’s voice maintained its usual calm.
The Anbu was silent for a moment, then took a deep breath and said, "Last night, Akasuna infiltrated the Kazekage’s office and attempted to assassinate the Third Kazekage."
The air instantly solidified.
Chiyo felt a wave of dizziness. A roaring sound filled her ears. She forced herself to maintain an outward composure.
Soon, the Anbu’s next words came. "Akasuna was killed on the spot by the Kazekage."
When the Anbu’s voice reached Chiyo’s ears, Chiyo immediately felt the world spin. She opened her mouth, but no sound came out.
How could the son she had watched grow up from a young age betray the village?
How could Akasuna betray the village?
He loved the village so much!
In this deathly silence, a crisp cracking sound suddenly came from the living room.
Chiyo sharply turned her head, seeing Sasori, who had, at some point, stood at the living room entrance, the puppet in his hand having fallen at his feet.
Sasori’s pupils were wide, staring at the three Anbu at the door.
"Papa... died?"
Sasori’s voice was very soft, like a sharp blade piercing Chiyo’s heart.
The Anbu stood still, unsure how to react to the scene.
"Chiyo-sama, please accept our condolences. Kazekage-sama has ordered a lavish funeral for Akasuna, as he once rendered great service to the village..."
Before the Anbu could finish his sentence, Chiyo slammed the door shut with force.
Bang!
The Anbu looked at the closed door before them, sighed in their hearts, and then turned to leave.
Chiyo felt cold all over. If she hadn’t closed the door in time, she didn’t know what she might have said. Her eyes stung, and everything before her instantly blurred.
In the moment before tears were about to fall, she thought of Sasori.
No!
She couldn’t cry!
She forcefully held back her tears and walked step by step towards her grandson. She tightly hugged Sasori.
She opened her mouth, wanting to say some comforting words, but found she couldn’t make any sound. She gently patted Sasori’s back. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
"Why? Why did papa do that? Why did he want to kill the Kazekage?" Sasori’s voice entered Chiyo’s ears.
Chiyo gently stroked her grandson’s hair, her voice hoarse. "I don’t know, Sasori. I don’t know."
"Papa and mama will never come back?"
"Right?"
Sasori’s question made the tears Chiyo had been holding back instantly stream down her face.
Sasori looked at Chiyo’s tear-streaked face, he had his answer.
"I will fix it. This is what papa left for me." Sasori held the broken puppet, stroking it with care.
Chiyo looked at Sasori’s small figure, feeling a pain that pierced her heart.
Why?
Sasori was still so young.
Why did he have to lose his parents at such a young age?
Sasori gently rubbed his cheek against the broken puppet.
"I want it to stay with me forever."
Forever.
How could he achieve forever?
