Natural Disaster: I Started By Hoarding Tens Of Billions Of Supplies-Chapter 493 : Long Qian
Clenching his jaw, the chief bodyguard hoisted the young master onto his back and commanded, "Hold her off!"
Without wasting any more time, he rushed toward the door.
Seeing this, Yao Ran sneered. "Running away? In your dreams."
The moment she said this, vines shot out from her palm and slammed the door shut.
Bam!
Swish~ Swish~ Swish~
A second later, the vines intertwined, sealing the exit and blocking anyone from entering or leaving.
Seeing that his way out was blocked, the chief bodyguard had no choice but to stop on his track. Turning back to face Yao Ran, he commanded with determination to die to protect his young master, "Protect the Second Young Master!"
At his order, the remaining bodyguards formed a protective line in front of the chief bodyguard.
While they watched Yao Ran with vigilance and fear, she slowly stood up and looked at them. After staring at them for a while, she suddenly laughed.
"Ha ha ha ha!"
Startled by her sudden outburst, the bodyguards tightened their grip on their weapons, ready to use their abilities at any moment.
Carrying the young master on his back, the chief bodyguard clenched his fists as he looked at Yao Ran warily.
After laughing for a while, Yao Ran's expression abruptly changed. Without giving them time to react, she activated her water element ability and controlled the blood within the bodyguards and the young master.
In the next second, they all fell to their knees, groaning in pain as the temperature of their blood slowly rose.
Still carrying the young master, the chief bodyguard endured the agony of his boiling internal organs.
"Cough!" Blood sipped out from his lips as he raised his eyes to look at Yao Ran and pleaded, "P–please spare the Second Young Master's life."
Hearing this, Yao Ran merely looked at him coldly.
Realizing that she didn't have any intention to let them go, the chief bodyguard closed his eyes in regret. 'If I had stopped the Second Young Master yesterday, none of this would be happening today.'
Though he regretted his inaction deeply, nothing could change their fate since there was no medicine for regret in this world.
Just as the temperature of their blood reached a critical level, Yao Ran's communication device suddenly beeped.
Beep!
Hearing the incoming call notification, Yao Ran paused and pressed the device on her left ear. A second later, she calmly said, "This is Yao Ran."
In the next second, Long Yu's voice came through. "Ran Ran, are you coming back for lunch?"
The sound of his voice instantly dispelled Yao Ran's murderous intent.
She glanced at the young master and bodyguards, her eyes flashing with warning before she gently replied, "Mhm, I will go back for lunch. A Yu, are you done with your meeting?"
"Yes. Do you want me to pick you up?" Long Yu asked.
Before Yao Ran could answer, the young master suddenly shouted, "Elder Brother, save me!"
Frowning at his interruption, Yao Ran shot a vine from her palm, sealing his mouth.
"Mhmp! Mhmp!"
The young master tried to pry the vines out of his mouth but to no avail. In the end, he could only glare at Yao Ran fiercely.
On the other end, Long Yu heard the sounds. He frowned and asked, "Ran Ran, where are you?"
Yao Ran glared back at the young master and replied, "I'm at the Mission Hall. I will head back after dealing with some people."
Knowing her strength, Long Yu didn't insist and simply reminded her, "Be careful and come back as soon as you are done. I will cook something while waiting for you."
The moment she heard this, Yao Ran shuddered and hurriedly said, "A Yu!"
Sensing the urgency in her voice, Long Yu's tone turned anxious. "Ran Ran, what's wrong? Are you alright?"
"I'm fine," Yao Ran quickly assured him.
Noticing that she was hiding something, Long Yu asked again, "Do you have something to tell me?"
Yao Ran swallowed nervously before speaking in a coaxing tone, "A Yu, I already prepared lunch, so you don't need to cook. I will be back very soon, so just wait for me, okay? And… don't cook anything, alright?"
Listening to her softly coaxing him, Long Yu chuckled and agreed, "Alright."
Successfully convincing her fiancé to stay out of the kitchen, Yao Ran secretly sighed in relief. She smiled and added, "Wait for me."
After ending the call, Yao Ran's expression changed as she glared at the young master. She approached him and stood silently, her eyes cold as her murderous intent gushed out.
Under her icy stare, the young master trembled, instinctively trying to hide behind the chief bodyguard.
Scoffing at his cowardice, Yao Ran removed the vine covering his mouth. She then asked, "Do you know who I was talking to just now?"
The young master didn't want to answer, but the pain coursing through his body reminded him not to provoke Yao Ran. After weighing his options, he decided that enduring humiliation was better than enduring pain.
Meeting Yao Ran's cold gaze, he hesitantly asked, "Was it… Long Yu?"
As soon as Yao Ran heard Long Yu's name from his mouth, her murderous aura intensified, filling the room with suffocating pressure.

The young master's face turned ashen at this. When his body trembled under her pressure, the answer to his question became clear.
Clenching his fists, the young master continued, "My name is Long Qian. I'm the second young master of the first branch of the Long family. Long Yu is my paternal elder cousin."
"His father is my father's younger brother. His father is my second paternal uncle. If you dare to touch me, my elder cousin will not let you go!"
Hearing this, Yao Ran's eyes narrowed before she slowly retracted her murderous aura.
Feeling the oppressive force disappear, Long Qian regained his courage. He sneered and threatened, "Let us go. Otherwise, I will tell my elder cousin how vicious and ruthless you are. Let's see if he still wants you after knowing that."
