Natural Disaster: I Started By Hoarding Tens Of Billions Of Supplies-Chapter 514: Small Island
Long Zhan paused for a moment and added, "However, since we have already lost our supplies, we should lay low for now and avoid direct confrontation with the military."
At his words, Long Qian clenched his fists and slammed them against the couch's armrest in frustration. "Damn it! If I ever find out who stole our supplies, I won't let them off!"
Hearing this, Long Zhan cast a glance at his younger brother but said nothing in response. Their family had already lost its influence over the military. It was time for him to reach out to that person.
While Long Zhan was planning for the Long family's future, Yao Ran and the others were already far away.
Seven hours later, a pilot from another aircraft contacted Shi Xuan. "This is Alpha Seven. Requesting permission for refueling."
Shi Xuan pressed the communication device and responded, "This is Alpha One. A small island has been detected fifty kilometers to the north. We will land there."

A few seconds later, the other pilots acknowledged the command. "Roger that."
Before long, Long Yu announced, "The island is in sight. Preparing for landing."
Following his words, the other pilots responded, and the military transport aircraft slowly descended.
Ten minutes later, Yao Ran stepped out of the military transport aircraft. After finding a flat area, she took out several drums of fuel from her space. When the soldiers saw this, they began to transport the oil drums and refuel the aircraft.
Meanwhile, Yao Ran, Huang Zhihui, and Deng Qiqi were preparing dinner for everyone. Seeing this, Aunt Han and Aunt Sima also came over to help distribute the meals.
When the refueling was complete, everyone lined up to get their dinner. Seeing that Yao Ran had finished distributing the dinner, Long Yu walked up to her.
Seeing him approach, Yao Ran smiled and handed him his meal. "Come and eat first."
Long Yu took the meal box from her, sat beside her, and opened it. Seeing his favorite braised meat, he smiled and began eating.
"I saw you talking with Elder Brother Ruihan just now," Yao Ran said while taking a bite of her food.
Long Yu nodded, swallowed a mouthful of steamed rice, and replied, "Mhm. Since it's already nighttime, Brother Xu suggested that we camp here for the night and continue our journey tomorrow."
Listening to what he said, Yao Ran pondered for a moment. She then gazed at the roaring waves crashing against the small island's coastline.
Noticing her worried expression, Long Yu reassured her, "Don't worry. We have already checked the surroundings. There haven't been any earthquakes reported around this area, so it should be safe for us to stay the night."
Hearing this, Yao Ran nodded, although her eyes remained fixed on the strong waves hitting the shore.
After finishing their late dinner, everyone prepared to sleep. Since they wouldn't be staying long, they simply found flat areas to rest.
Yao Ran located a suitable spot and took out two folding beds from her space. As she set them up, Long Yu started a small bonfire nearby to keep them warm.
Lying nearby, Ding Jianfeng's eyes lit up when he saw the folding beds. Noticing that Yao Ran also took out pillows and blankets, he quickly got up and approached her with a smile.
"Sister-in-law, do you have any extra folding beds or pillows?" he asked eagerly.
Yao Ran paused and looked at him, noting the anticipation in his expression. She smiled and replied, "Yes. Do you need one?"
"Yes!" Ding Jianfeng answered without hesitation.
Although the temperature was high during the day, it got quite cold at night. Ever since the last natural disaster, the weather had been unpredictable, with extreme fluctuations between day and night.
Yao Ran still had plenty of new folding beds, pillows, and blankets in her space, so she took out a set and handed them to Ding Jianfeng.
"You can return them to me tomorrow."
"Alright. Thank you, Sister-in-law." Ding Jianfeng nodded happily and left in a good mood.
Long Yu watched as Ding Jianfeng bragged about the folding bed to the others and chuckled. "Ran Ran, you are going to need to take out more in a moment."
Just as he said this, Yao Ran noticed Shi Xuan and the others approaching.
Long Yu pointed at them and smirked. "Here they come."
Yao Ran glanced at him and, seeing his amused expression, shook her head helplessly. She then took out more folding beds, pillows, and blankets. Since she had already provided these for her team, she figured she might as well give some to Xu Boya and the others.
With this in mind, Yao Ran said, "A Yu, I'm going to bring some to Grandpa Xu and the others."
The three elderly men had helped her before and had always been kind to her. If she could make them more comfortable, she was happy to do so.
Understanding her intentions, Long Yu nodded. "Alright. I will set up your bed and wait for you."
"Mhm." Yao Ran nodded, and then she went to find Xu Boya and the other two grandpas.
Seeing the elderly men lying on thin cloths over the hard ground, Yao Ran called out, "Grandpa Xu, Grandpa Mu, Grandpa Hua."
Seeing her coming, Xu Boya sat up and smiled. "Xiao Ran, why aren't you asleep yet?"
Yao Ran smiled in return and explained, "Grandpa Xu, I brought some folding beds, pillows, and blankets for you three. It wouldn't be good for you to sleep directly on the ground. You might catch a cold or hurt your body."
Hearing what she just said, their eyes lit up. Hua Yangkui struggled to sit up, patting his painful back as he smiled kindly at Yao Ran.
"Thank you, Xiao Ran."
Among the three grandpas, Hua Yangkui was the weakest. Although he had been a doctor for more than forty years, he had been so busy during his career that he hadn't had time to take care of himself. Now that he has retired, his health isn't as good as Xu Boya's or Mu Jieshan's.
