Netori Is Life-Chapter 54: Fixing A Mistake
Chapter 54 - Fixing A Mistake
Travis stood up and made his way to the kitchen, filling a glass with cold water before bringing it back to Aria. She took it gratefully, gulping it down as if her life depended on it. He couldn't help but wonder how just a few glasses of wine had brought her to this state. He wasn't much of a drinker himself, so the whole ordeal seemed strange to him.
"Maybe she's just a lightweight," he thought, watching her struggle to compose herself. "I should just take her to bed. I'm not in the mood to continue anyway."
Aria, still laying on the couch, tried to calm herself down as best she could. She glanced up at Travis, surprised when he leaned down and gently lifted her into his arms. Without a word, he carried her across the apartment, somehow managing to find her bedroom on the first try. She was too dazed to question how he knew where it was, but in her drunken state, it all felt like a surreal dream.
He laid her softly on the bed and pulled a blanket over her, making sure she was comfortable. Aria, still half-believing it was all part of a dream, said nothing, simply watching him through heavy-lidded eyes.
"I'll see you tomorrow," Travis said quietly, turning to leave. He shut the door behind him as he walked out, the soft click of the latch echoing through the quiet apartment.
"I do not deal with drunk girls," Travis thought firmly as he left Aria's apartment, making sure the door was securely closed behind him. As he walked down the hallway, heading toward the elevator, he was caught off guard by the sight of a man stepping out of the elevator—Ethan. Aria's husband.
For a brief second, Travis tensed up, but he quickly relaxed when he realized they had never met before. He simply walked past him, maintaining his calm demeanor, acting like nothing had happened—like he hadn't just kissed the man's wife moments ago.
Once inside the elevator, Travis couldn't help but smirk to himself. The adrenaline was still coursing through his veins. He had been so close to being caught, but instead of fear, he felt a rush of excitement. As the elevator descended, he found the whole situation oddly amusing.
' Man that was close. I look forward to my next visit to this apartment. I'm sure I'll already be deep in that ' He thought as he left the apartment building. When Travis stepped outside, he realized he had to make his way back home.
' Fuck!!'
The cool night air hit him as he took a deep breath, shaking off the remnants of the earlier excitement. He pulled out his phone to check the address and navigation, ensuring he wouldn't get lost on his way back.
He began walking, the streetlights casting long shadows as he made his way down the quiet streets. His mind wandered to the events of the evening, reflecting on the strange turn of events. With each step, he felt more grounded, the thrill of the night giving way to the calm of his familiar route.
___
He finally arrived at the dorms and leaped over the walls since the gates were closed. Travis went to his room and laid on the bed as he found himself falling to sleep. Before long he was dead asleep.
.....
[ Morning]
It was Monday, the start of a new week. Travis groggily woke up to the unmistakable scent of something burning. Jolting upright, he scanned the room in confusion, his eyes settling on Emma in the kitchen, frantically trying to salvage a pan of charred eggs.
'Right, I forgot she stayed over,' he thought, rubbing his face.
Without wasting any time, he quickly rushed over to her, gently taking the pan from her hands and placing it in the sink.
"I think breakfast is a little overcooked," he said with a smirk, watching as Emma sighed in embarrassment, her face flushed from the mishap.
"Master, I'm sorry... It just got away from me," Emma stammered, clearly flustered.
But Travis waved it off, signaling that it was no big deal. He knew exactly how tricky it could be—the gas stove had given him plenty of trouble when he first moved in, especially since it was an addition from Paul after the dorm's original stove stopped working.
"How'd you sleep last night? Dream about me?" Travis teased with a smirk, leaning casually against the counter. Emma's cheeks turned a shade darker as she glanced up at him, caught off guard by the playful question.

Emma smiled, " Why would I dream about you?" She asked with an attitude.
Travis smiled and turned away, he honestly liked her tsundere personality, he's happy that it didn't get completely removed after he conquered her.
"I need to get to class. What about you?" Travis asked, his tone casual but curious as he watched Emma gather herself.
"I'll head back to my dorm," she replied, her voice soft. "I need a bit more rest. I'll text you if you need me." She inched closer, her lips grazing his as she kissed him softly.
"I had a wonderful night, Master," she whispered seductively into his ear before stepping away.
Emma moved toward the bed, picking up her things before heading out, leaving behind a lingering tension in the air as she quietly exited the room.
He stood there, holding back the urge to pin her down again. Travis sighed and entered the bathroom. ' I need to cool down ' he thought.
[ Aria's Apartment]
As the morning light filtered into the room, Aria blinked her eyes open slowly, her body feeling heavy with the remnants of exhaustion. She sat up carefully, only to be met with a sharp headache that made her wince.
"Ugh, too much wine," she muttered to herself, rubbing her temples. Glancing to her side, she noticed Ethan lying next to her, still fast asleep, his breathing steady and calm. The sight of him, peaceful and unaware, made her heart tighten slightly.
'Hmm, what happened last night?' Aria thought as she tried to piece together the blurry events. Then, like a jolt, the memory of kissing Travis resurfaced. Her heart skipped a beat, and her face flushed with a deep blush.
'Why the hell did I do that?! I can't believe I made out with my student!' The panic surged through her as she quickly got out of bed, heading straight to the bathroom.
She shut the door behind her, her mind racing as she stood in front of the mirror, still reeling from the shock of her actions.
As Aria sat on the toilet seat, her thoughts spiraled. She regretted what had happened, but her body betrayed her. The more she thought about the kiss, the more she felt a strange warmth spreading through her, a tremble she couldn't control.
'Why does thinking about him do this to me?' she wondered, feeling her pulse quicken.
Even though she was filled with regret, the undeniable arousal coursing through her body made things confusing. The memory of Travis, his scent, and the feel of his lips sent waves of tension through her. She bit her lip, trying to shake it off.
'I need to fix this,' she thought anxiously. 'He probably thinks I have feelings for him now... I can't let him get the wrong idea.'
