No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother-Chapter 569 - 567 Handcrafted [4 Updates]
"Young Master Moore, please take good care of me in the future." Sophia Bennett stood up from her chair and greeted Hudson Moore politely.
"Hello." When Hudson Moore spoke to Sophia Bennett, he didn’t dare to look her in the eyes, fearing she might take a fancy to him.
Christopher Scott watched Hudson’s shifty behavior and wanted to laugh but held back, knowing he was setting up his buddy and intending to continue doing so.
Immediately after, Christopher nonchalantly said, "Hudson, there are a few issues with this new project of mine that I’d like to discuss with you."
Seeing through Christopher’s ulterior motives, Hudson was furious but didn’t dare to defy him, so he sat down next to Sophia.
Christopher, noticing Hudson had conceded, mischievously asked, "Hudson, have you eaten? There’s a lunch box here; eat it, and then we can talk."
Christopher started causing trouble. Hudson listened to him, looked at the lunch box on the desk, then at Sophia beside him, and realized everything.
He glared fiercely at Christopher, indicating he was too ruthless to use him as a human shield to deal with Sophia.
This hot potato, he definitely wouldn’t take!
Nearby, Sophia observed Christopher’s actions. She didn’t need to think much to know what he was up to—this guy wanted to pass her off to Hudson.
Although Sophia seemed smitten, she wasn’t foolish. She had a gauge of whether others liked or disliked her and simply didn’t care.
Seeing that mischievous glint in Christopher’s eyes, she immediately picked up her lunch box and said earnestly, "Christopher, this is a love-filled lunch I specially prepared for you; how can you give it to someone else?"
"I’ve already eaten and am not hungry." Christopher lied.
Sophia squinted slightly, staring at Christopher. Knowing he was lying, she didn’t bother to expose his lie and casually asked, "You guys are discussing work, right?"
"Mm! So, if Miss Bennett could please excuse us." Christopher, hearing her mention work, assumed she wanted to play the virtuous woman to win hearts and thus went along with her topic to send her away.
However, Sophia suddenly said, "Christopher, if that’s the case, you’d better finish your lunch quickly, or I won’t leave and will follow you all day. If you finish the lunch, I won’t disturb your work."
"..." Sophia’s unexpected move gave Christopher a headache.
He didn’t want to eat Sophia’s lunch, but he even more didn’t want her to stick around his office, which annoyed him.
Yet, he was unwilling to concede to Sophia, so he said irritably, "Do whatever you want."
Sophia, seeing the irritated man, showed no sign of backing down. After all, she was used to getting the cold shoulder from others.
Thus, the standoff in the office continued, with Sophia having no intention of leaving and Christopher not willing to capitulate, while Hudson watched the show from the side.
Hudson felt fortunate that he sat there for quite a while without Sophia transferring her attention from Christopher to him. He thought he must have done many good deeds in his previous life to escape Sophia.
As the tense atmosphere persisted, Christopher grew impatient. He wanted to have security throw Sophia out, but she was a girl and the niece of Chairman Bennett. He had to show some respect to the Chairman, or else his third brother wouldn’t let him off.
Finally, Christopher relented, looked directly at Sophia, and helplessly asked, "Sophia, will you leave if I eat the lunch?"
Hearing Christopher’s question, Sophia propped her hands on his desk, rested her chin in her hands, and nodded with a silly smile, "Mm! Once you finish, I’ll leave."
Christopher took a deep breath and thought that enduring this was better than constant annoyance. He decided to eat her lunch to get her to leave, out of sight, out of mind.
So, he raised his hands, picked up the lunch box on the desk, unscrewed the lid, and laid each layer on the table.
"Pfft..." Hudson couldn’t help but burst into laughter at Christopher’s lunch box.
On the white rice, Sophia had arranged corn kernels in a heart shape, and the vegetables were also set in a heart shape. Even the steak was cut into a heart shape, making Hudson feel tipsy and think Sophia was quite thoughtful and adorable.
Hearing Hudson’s laughter, Christopher glared at him furiously. Hudson immediately stopped laughing, held his breath, and pretended to watch Christopher eat seriously.
When Hudson’s gaze inadvertently fell on Sophia, he saw that girl with her hands under her chin, staring intently at Christopher eating, smiling stupidly at him.
Sophia’s star-struck expression amazed Hudson. Even back when he cursed Seven Murray for being smitten with Christopher, he had never seen Seven so infatuated.
For this oddball in front of him, Hudson was helpless. He wouldn’t dare provoke such a persistent girl no matter what.
To deal with Sophia, Christopher, despite his reluctance, devoured the lunch she had brought him.
In just five or six minutes, Christopher wolfed down the lunch box.
However, he didn’t taste anything, treating it entirely as a task to complete.
Seeing the empty lunch box, Sophia, with a lovestruck look, asked Christopher, "Christopher, was it good? I made everything myself."
Hearing Sophia’s question, Christopher took a deep breath and forcefully wiped his mouth with a napkin. He hadn’t expected that after eating, he’d have to comment.
As they locked eyes, Christopher wanted to snap but didn’t want to repeatedly lose his temper over someone insignificant.
So, he nonchalantly nodded and said, "Mm."
As soon as Christopher spoke, Sophia’s smile widened, and she immediately stood up from her chair, tidied up the lunch box on his desk, looking like a dutiful wife.
After clearing up, she waved her small hand at Christopher and said, "Get busy with work; I’m heading home. I’ll see you in the afternoon."
Hearing she’d visit again in the afternoon, Christopher gritted his teeth in frustration, thinking she’d never see him again from now on.
Having been caught by Sophia once at the company today, Christopher wouldn’t let her catch him again. Until Sophia gave up on him, he wouldn’t come to the office, nor see her.
At the desk, Hudson, seeing Sophia leave, casually remarked, "Actually, this girl is quite nice, quite cute."
"Nice? Why don’t you chase her?" Christopher rolled his eyes at Hudson, angrily questioned.
"Haha, I don’t like this type. Christopher, she changes her mind too quickly. If you were really together, you’d probably not be called Young Master Scott anymore; you’d have to change your name to Young Master Cuckolded." Hudson said gleefully.
Christopher grabbed the notebook on the desk and suddenly threw it at Hudson, who moved quickly and dodged it.
Christopher thought that even if he stayed single forever, he would never accept Sophia.
