No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother-Chapter 602 - 600: Don’t Touch Me [2nd Update]
Maya Spencer bit James Bennett with such force, it was as if she wanted to bite him to death, using every ounce of her strength to sink her teeth into him.
The moment James Bennett was bitten by Maya, the pain nearly knocked him unconscious, yet he didn’t push her away. Instead, he held her tightly, lifting her from the ground, letting her bite him as she wished.
Even if the pain in his neck spread throughout his body, even if she might pass out the next second, at this moment, being able to hold Maya like this and feel her small hands tightly wrapped around his neck made him feel so happy.
If he could die like this under Maya’s teeth, he would be satisfied with this life. Therefore, he held her tighter and tighter, knowing that this was the only moment he could embrace her.
He regretted not having gone to see her earlier, not having hugged her when she was little. He wanted to make up for everything, but the tension in their current relationship left him feeling helpless.
Beside them, the servants watched the two embracing tightly, staring at James Bennett’s pale face, not knowing what was happening.
It wasn’t until Miss Fisher shouted loudly, "Quickly pull Miss Maya away, she’s biting the gentleman."
At this point, the servants rushed forward, desperately trying to pull Maya away.
James Bennett struggled to say, "Don’t pull Maya away, let her vent."
James knew that Maya harbored a frustration in her heart, wanting desperately to vent it. He didn’t want to see her so distressed, he wanted to grant her freedom, but couldn’t let go of his worry for her, especially after learning that Maya had a recent suicide incident. He was even more afraid of letting her go.
Despite James’s orders for no one to pull Maya away, the servants still managed to separate her from him.
By the time Maya was pulled away, James’s neck was already bloody and mangled, while Maya’s mouth was covered in blood.
James looked at this little monster in front of him with immense heartache. He hurriedly pressed his right hand to her neck and gently wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth with his left hand.
Seeing him touch her again, Maya screamed wildly, "I hate you, I despise you, don’t touch me."
Seeing this, James immediately withdrew his hand, surrendering as he said, "Alright, alright! I won’t touch you. You can punish me however you want, just don’t put yourself through this."
Listening to James’s words, Maya sneered, "Punish? Punish? How can I possibly punish you? I just want you to see me die with your own eyes, to leave your conscience troubled for life, to haunt you with nightmares forever."
Maya had experienced nightmares—the kind of panic, fear, distress, and insane loneliness that stripped any sense of life’s meaning, leaving no courage to live on.
Therefore, she wanted James to taste this feeling too, to make him live a life worse than death, filled with unbearable agony.
She thought, if only he had managed himself better that night, would her mother have ended up so miserable?
Even if it meant she couldn’t have come into this world, she would still prefer never to have been born than to have her mother suffer a life of tragedy.
As James listened to Maya’s thoughts and saw the cold isolation in her eyes, he felt a chill to his core. At this moment, he couldn’t communicate with Maya at all. Whatever he said or did, it triggered her extreme aversion and brought her to the brink of collapse.
Thus, he turned and said to the servant, "Miss Fisher, tidy up my bedroom and take Miss Maya up there, you should know what I mean."
"Sir, I understand."
Although James’s words were not explicit, Miss Fisher understood that James wanted her to lock the doors and windows, remove all sharp objects from the room, ensuring that Maya wouldn’t harm herself.
The reason James locked Maya in his room was because the walls there were also padded with soft foam, so even if Maya wanted to hit the walls, she couldn’t.
After receiving the orders, Miss Fisher immediately began to execute them.
Moments later, James’s room was tidied up, and Maya was forcibly taken into his bedroom by the servants.
After being brought into James’s bedroom, Maya wished she could set the house on fire.
She pounded fiercely on the door, shouting loudly outside, "What right do you have to lock me up? You have no right to confine me, never had, never will."
In Maya’s mind, ’father’ was her greatest enemy. He never fulfilled a single day’s duty as a father, so how dare he lay any expectations on her now, let alone confine her.
"Bang bang bang..." Maya pounded on the door frantically.
"Open the door..." Her shrieks pierced through the bedroom, echoing across James Bennett’s villa.
No matter how she screamed, how hard she banged the door, there was no one to open it for her.
In the end, the anger in her heart continued to build, pushing her to the brink of madness, or at least near breaking down.
After shouting in the room for a while without any response, she began smashing things inside. What infuriated her was that all sharp objects and decorations in James’s room had been removed. Apart from some large pieces of furniture and clothes in the wardrobe, there was nothing she could smash.
Maya stood at the center of the room, looking at this man’s room, and suddenly, like a mad person, she lunged at the bed, throwing the comforter and sheets onto the floor and then hurling all the clothes from the wardrobe onto the ground.
After the rampage, her mood did not calm down; instead, she grew more and more furious. She just wanted to leave here, just didn’t want to see James Bennett, so why was this small request so hard to fulfill?
Such dissatisfaction left Maya in great pain, yet utterly helpless.
After making a mess of the room, and seeing that no one was responding to her, Maya stopped making a fuss. Like a hurt little porcupine, she curled up in a corner of the bedroom, banging her head gently against the padded wall.
She vowed silently to herself, she would make James Bennett suffer. The pain her mother endured, she would return it tenfold. Still, her current outburst was futile.
So, she quieted down, ceased her tantrums, and instead waited for a chance to escape.
Meanwhile, in the study, Miss Fisher was helping James Bennett treat the bite wound on his neck.
Looking at the wound on James’s neck, Miss Fisher frowned in concern and chided him, "Sir, you’ve always treated Miss Maya well, how could she bite you like this, it’s so disrespectful."
James listened to Miss Fisher’s reproach against Maya, sighed deeply, and said helplessly, "It’s not Maya’s fault; it’s I who wronged her first." 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
"Sir, you should go to the hospital!" She dared not pry into James’s private life and could only urge him to seek medical attention for his wound.
"There’s no need, just apply some medicine," James said dismissively.
With Maya currently locked in his bedroom, there was no way he could leave her alone here. He felt uneasy leaving her by herself. If she needed to vent again, he could still be there for her.
"Sir, Miss Maya has calmed down, she’s not causing a fuss anymore," reported a young maid stationed outside the bedroom door.
