242 Chapter 241: Atlas & Iris 𝘧r𝑒𝘦𝒘𝘦𝙗novel.𝐜o𝒎

The tension in the central plains soon changed as the world noticed the movement of the invading forces. Goblins, night elves, Draconians, and humans. These were the four races that made up the invading forces.

With the true gods using god’s descent, they can manifest their strength up to the angel realm level and maybe even beyond. Adding that to their centuries of experience when compared to the recent new hosts like Damon and the rest.

These invaders also had the four ancestral elemental dragons who also descended using God’s descent as well. Each army covered each region of the continent and as they moved, they were stunned by the fact that there was not even a single independent village outside the single empire in the continent.

“That kid really did unite the continent. This is something Sol couldn’t even do…” a green-haired lady with a lollipop in her mouth said with an astonished look on her face. Beside her was the ancestral dragon of the storm who followed closely but said nothing.

He simply frowned in response as images of Damon flashed across his eyes. These ancestral dragons either have never encountered Damon or they have only one notable encounter with him so they knew too little about him. Normally the dragons would never consider someone an opponent but this man has killed two dragon guardian spirit hosts and even consumed their souls and power.

While he may not be a dragon, he has the powers of a dragon so why would they ignore his existence?

“Iris…. It’s been a Millennium since the last time we fought… back then we had the guardian spirit hosts on our side… These new hosts, do you think they are far more capable than the originals?”

As the goddess of the bow who has lived for centuries, it wasn’t too shocking that someone would ask her such a question since she has had her fair share of fights against the new gods, every single time they came. Amongst everyone present who has decided to get rid of this generation of new gods, the old gods were the ones who knew the most about everything happening.

“These people are different… They are young and naive but they all come with fresh ideas and understanding of things we ancient beings wouldn’t even bother looking at twice…. They have their advantages and disadvantages…” Iris said casually and gave it no thought but the ancestral dragon of storm didn’t seem satisfied with her response.

.....

“Let’s not be naive” Atlas, ancestral dragon of storm said with a cold look on his face.

He found it insulting that this deity would look down on the enemy that has managed to come this far. But then he even found it more insulting that she would dare look down on someone who has the Draconian power within his veins.

Seeing this Iris stopped talking and began pondering deeply. Since Atlas dares to take these people seriously, it’s only natural for her to do the same.

“No, individually only Damon has shown his battle prowess to the maximum. The other three are far more cunning than others think. They are not inferior to the death mage but more cautious… individually their overall strength compared to Sol and the original new gods is lacking but they do things differently… they take approaches only a mad man will take… no, Damon takes those approaches, the rest are barely up to average outside the host of force… Regardless, I don’t see us losing this war no matter the situation” Iris said those last words with immense confidence which made Atlas raise an eyebrow in shock.

He knew the old gods well and how ancient beings like this wouldn’t say something unless they are almost a hundred percent sure.

For her to say this, their chances of winning must be over ninety percent at the very least!

“Why do you say so?” Atlas couldn’t help but ask.

If they were fighting this war together with the old gods then they deserve to know more about the plan or anything they find out.

“Ever since the empire was formed, things haven’t been going their way…. The death mage is hated after all his sacrifice and he hasn’t made any progress since then in his cultivation… but in exchange, the three have grown but they have grown apart. Since our arrival, the entire empire has been activities but the palace of death is yet to make a move…” Iris said casually. She had no intentions of hiding such minor details from a capable ally.

“Or he has chosen not to make a move…. He wishes to let the war reach the point of no return when these people will be forced to turn and pray to him.” Atlas said with a cold frown.

“When that happens, it will be too late… even if he accumulates enough fate power to enter the demigod realm. He will ascend alone and we will finish him off in the other realm” Iris said with cold lights in her eyes.

Hearing this Atlas nodded in shock and a crazed smile bloomed on his face. If things are true as she said, then their victory is almost assured!

......…

Swoosh!

Damon emerged from the depths of hell with an indifferent look on his face. His eyes slowly opened revealing golden lights.

Before him was a man with long silver and red hair. His face was lowered and he wore a robe bearings a familiar family symbol.

The Hail family of the former Gyro Kingdom.

The current martial Saint of the Immortal Empire and the overall leader of their forces…

Armanthos Hail

“You still do not wish to begin preparations?” Armanthos asked with his face lowered.

He dared not look at what has become of the death mage who once dominated the heavens.

The same man was a shadow of his past self. He has become something even Armanthos doesn’t dare look in the face.

Life is just unfair

“If you were in my position, tell me… would you fight?” Damon asked with indifference in his voice.
