Pestilence: Rise Of The Pure Undead-Chapter 336: Fear The Night : Free Fall
"Brother, there is a hole in your wing"
"I know, went left when I should have gone right, little things like that…" said hole left in the bat-like wing of Vespertillo closed off on its own mere moments later.
"Healing so quickly from sun burns, I must admit, I never imagined I would see the time when we vampires would be so unfazed by our bane" the twin gravelords nodded their heads, the mountain they had been fighting moments prior was torn asunder, both currently falling down alongside rubbles, their cloaks moving chaotically in the winds, the miniature sun moving through the air in most unpredictable manners, firing beams of light as it went.
The goggles nestled against Atsalinopalo’s eyes reflected this festival of a lightshow, the skins of both of the vampire lords tingled, bits of steam subtly rising off from their bodies, looking around curiously.

Evading a charge of the elven sun, they looked at one another, The Night Flier shrugging his shoulders.
"Do you see her anywhere?" he asked his brother
"I think she is staying right behind the sun" Atsalinopalo pointed at the small astral body that was currently skipping around at varying degrees of speed, taking impossibly sharp turns.
"Behind the sun? Too easy, she’s behind a piece of the rubble and is waiting for a beam of light to perfectly obscure our senses to strike" Vespertillo rubbed his chin, evading a beam of light that nearly grazed his ear.
"Oh oh… Is this a bet? Are we gambling? What are we betting?" chuckling to himself, tapping the side of his metal maw with one claw.
"Herrr… If I win, you have to ask Multeamanus to show you her best hand, and kiss it in admiration" as he came up with something ridiculous, a few more beams came awfully close to riddling him with holes.
"Not bad, not bad! If I win-" after explaining his own thing, the two brothers began looking around more attentively, it was rather surprising that they had been able to have such a lengthy discussion without Maiele coming to silence them with a kick to the mouth.
One brother paying close attention to the sun, the other to the various pieces of debris falling around alongside them, although they had not been fazed by it, it was important to not that this great span of destruction was causing by Atsalinopalo firing a condensed bullet of mana straight into the ground, and into a compressed pocket of explosive mana, the two brothers hadn’t lured the Elven Light here for no reason, this particular mountain had for future vocation to be turned into a volcano, and the landscapers of the undead kingdom were very intent on making its creation something a bit more natural than just directly making a raging volcano to create a fiery region as was envisioned.
So a chain of explosions had been set off, launching rocks and boulders flying everywhere alongside the three combatants, Liameilos having slipped off from their senses in that instant, falling back to back, the sun brightened, the light it gave off becoming harsher on the two vampires, ceasing the firing of bullets, switching to omnidirectional beams, spinning around and rushing forth toward them, they stopped their free fall and used their wings and debris to move and weaved through the beams that were certain to deal severe damage.
Lo and behold, as they were busy evading the constant streams of light, which managed to stretch out far into the eternal night, holding out for a long while before being taken apart and consumed by the king’s sun.

I was right!" Atsalinopalo rose his arms, but was a bit too late as the heroine was already too close, slapping his hands away, wrapping her legs around the neck and oversized metal maw, crushing both with her thighs, the vampire lord made a small squeak as his throat was crushed, finishing his sentence in death tongue as she spun him around, struck his wings and launching straight into the ground below, which was now much closer.
Chest expanding, bulging, Vespertillo gathered the strength of a thousands beasts and monsters toward his lungs and throat, his most signature move, a roar capable of deafening even the deaf, capable of forcing skulls to explode from the inside out, struck the elf head-on, propelling her to the ground next.
Her pointy ears rang with white noise for a few moments, the sun floated down above her head, firing a spike a light at Atsalinopalo, who took it to the shoulder as he stepped back, fixing his bent maw as he recuperated from his broken neck, his head just swinging around wildly as he moved.
Vespertillo grabbed his brother’s head and helped him twist back on the right track.
"She got you good there, brother"
"Jealous much?"
"I don’t know what you are talking about…"
The back and forths were not permitted any longer, Maiele already swinging on the two of them, each attack imbued with a hefty amount of true sunlight, cracks infused with light spread along the ground, bursting upward, her figure flashing forth, outmanoeuvring the twin gravelords in most case, landing strikes to the chest and face, but even if she was faster than both, the two of them worked together seamlessly, claws fell upon her, staining her clothes a bright crimson.
Another advantage she had was that they couldn’t consume her blood to recuperate if necessary, as it was brimming with true sunlight, even under the sun of darkness, taking in her blood would be a terrible idea, so in theory, she could wear them out by forcing them to use their blood to recuperate from wounds, even though gravelords could produce their own blood from scratch, at that point, they would be at a dire disadvantage.
The Shattered’s hands split right down the middle, allowing him to fire circular saws through the air, spinning violently without stop, his bear trap-like maw coming shut repeatedly as he moved upon the Elven Light.
The Night Flier flapping off the ground, wrapping his wings around his body, opening them right as he began to fall back down, feathers mixed amidst fist-sized drops blood, all fired forth into a wide arc, not particularly aimed at the living, only the feathers seemed to be homing in, the drops of blood instead seeped into the ground.
Atsalinopalo’s jaw once more tried to come shut upon the elf’s flesh, but never did as Maiele Liameilos stopped its with both hands, snapping the mechanism on one side, the distinct sound of metal breaking was all she needed to let go and then spin around for a high kick straight to the vampire’s true lower face hidden behind the jaw.
Thrown back and caught by his brother, the burning of light physically torn away alongside the flesh, silver blood falling upon the ground, seeping into it.
