Pregnant During An Apocalypse [BL]-Chapter 133 - Piled up
Chapter 133: Chapter 133 - Piled up
Hana bounced her legs anxiously, her fingers drumming against the car door.
The vehicle was shrouded in darkness, swallowed by the eerie silence of a world that had collapsed into chaos.
The occasional distant growls of the infected punctuated the night, blending with the mournful howling of the wind as it swept through the broken streets, carrying with it the scent of smoke and decay.
They had been waiting for nearly an hour.
The air inside the car had grown thick with tension, a suffocating stillness that made Hana’s skin crawl.
She stole a glance at Dr. Qiu Yue, who sat in the driver’s seat, his jaw tight and his gaze locked on the school’s gate with unwavering intensity.
His fingers drummed lightly against the steering wheel, a subtle indication of his impatience. His normally composed face was shadowed with unease, lips pressed into a hard line.
Hana bit her lip, feeling the weight of uncertainty settle over her.
Every passing second made her more restless. The school loomed before them was dark as night. Not a single light flickered within.
Then, a loud whirring sound ripped through the silence.
Hana’s head snapped up, her heart skipping a beat. Her breath hitched as she craned her neck, eyes widening at the sight slicing through the dark sky.
A fighter jet.
Its sleek metallic body glinted under the faint moonlight, cutting through the night like a blade. It moved with terrifying precision, soaring over the ruined city before disappearing into the hellish skyline. The air vibrated in its wake, a deep, unsettling hum reverberating in Hana’s chest.
"What was that?!" she gasped, whipping her head toward Qiu Yue. "Are they here to rescue us?"
Dr. Qiu Yue didn’t answer immediately. His frown deepened as he watched the jet vanish beyond the crumbling horizon, his expression grim. The shadows under his eyes darkened, the tension in his posture unmistakable.
"Most likely to destroy the most infected parts of the city." His voice was low, carrying the weight of a harsh reality. He pinched the bridge of his nose, his exhaustion momentarily breaking through. "Things are getting fucked up."
Hana’s stomach twisted.
"Shit..." she whispered, her fingers immediately fumbling for her phone.
Her hands trembled as she dialed a number, her mind racing. The ringing felt like an eternity, each passing second stretching unbearably. Then—

"Hana!" Yunfeng’s voice burst through the speaker, sharp and laced with worry. "Are you okay? Are you safe?"
She nodded instinctively before realizing he couldn’t see her. "Mmm."
A sigh of relief came from the other end, but the tension in his voice didn’t fade.
"Good. Stay right there."
"No! Don’t come here! Things are bad, Yunfeng."
A long pause followed.
His breathing was steady but tight, like he was holding back his frustration.
"Did you go out?"
Hana hesitated.
"...No."
"Liar." His voice sharpened with suspicion. "I can hear you breathing deeply. Damn it, Hana! Why the hell did you go out?! I told you not to!"
Hana pouted, shifting uncomfortably in her seat.
She stole another glance at Qiu Yue, who raised an eyebrow at her but said nothing.
"I had... circumstances," she mumbled.
A string of curses left Yunfeng’s mouth, his frustration evident even through the crackling connection.
"The cell phone lines might go down soon," he said quickly, regaining his composure. "Tell me your exact location."
Hana swallowed hard.
"...The high school in A City."
Silence.
Then—
"Why the fuck are you at a school?!" Yunfeng’s voice shot up, disbelief laced with anger. "Do you have any idea how many students go there?! It’s a goddamn war zone!"
Hana opened her mouth to explain, but her words caught in her throat.
Her breath hitched.
In the distance, a group of shadowy figures emerged, sprinting toward them.
"Ah! Look!" she gasped, pointing frantically out the windshield.
Dr. Qiu Yue’s eyes narrowed. His fingers tightened on the wheel as he assessed the figures moving toward them at a rapid pace. A moment passed, and then, his body relaxed.
"It’s them."
Without hesitation, he turned the key, and the engine roared to life. The headlights briefly illuminated the figures, revealing familiar faces—bruised, breathless, but alive.
The back door flung open, and in a chaotic flurry, bodies piled in.
The vehicle groaned under the sudden weight.
Muchen landed awkwardly on Shao’s lap, their limbs tangled in a mess of arms and legs. Lu Zhi, his face flushed from exertion, had two girls sitting on his lap, their cheeks equally red with embarrassment.
The tallest boy was shoved into the farthest corner, his breath coming in ragged gasps as he struggled to make space for himself.
No one even had time to adjust before Qiu Yue slammed his foot on the gas.
The car lurched forward, speeding away from the school.
As the city blurred past them, Qiu Yue let out a breath and muttered under his breath,
"Wow. You have so many brothers and sisters."
On the Other Side of the Line
Yunfeng clenched his phone tightly, his pulse quickening.
Through the crackling call, he heard an unfamiliar male voice in the background. His brows furrowed, his stomach twisting uneasily.
"Hana!" His voice sharpened with urgency. "Who is that?! Who are you with?!"
His grip on the phone tightened as his gut churned with unease.
"Don’t go with strangers! It’s too dangerous!"
But his plea seemed to go unheard.
The background noise grew more chaotic. Muffled voices overlapped—some laughing, others talking hurriedly. There were at least five or six people with her, maybe more.
His jaw clenched.
"Who the hell is she with?" he muttered under his breath, his patience wearing thin.
Then—
The call cut off.
Yunfeng froze.
"...Hana?"
He pulled the phone away, staring at the dead screen. A moment passed.
Then, a notification popped up.
A message.
Hana: my phone is dying. We’re going to the Amazon shipping facility nearby. Don’t coem to the city!!!
The spelling errors told him how rushed she was.
Yunfeng exhaled sharply, his grip tightening around his phone. His pulse hammered against his ribs, each beat a painful reminder that she was heading straight into danger.
He knew the place she mentioned. The Amazon distribution center—an old facility near the city’s outskirts. It was a strategic choice, close enough to resources yet far enough from the densest infection zones. But still, it wasn’t safe. Not even close.
His fingers flew across the screen.
Yunfeng: Stay put. I’m coming.
