Chapter 151: Chapter 151 - Love you

Muchen sat down beside Yunfeng, gently cradling his lover’s hand in both of his own. The once soft, pink skin was now rough, new callouses forming along his thumb. His gentle hands—hands that had once played with Muchen’s hair, traced lazy circles on his back—had turned rough.

His throat tightened.

"Yunfeng... you will wake up, right?" His voice was barely above a whisper, trembling with unspoken fear. He pressed their joined hands to his forehead, his lips grazing the knuckles. "You won’t leave me again, will you, you bastard..."

The silence around him felt suffocating.

"You can’t leave me again," he murmured, his voice breaking. "I won’t allow you. Should I tie you up and carry you on my back if you try? Hah... would you hate me if I did?" A weak chuckle escaped his lips as he pressed a kiss to the back of Yunfeng’s hand. "Why did you leave the city in the first place... why did you leave me?"

He didn’t expect an answer.

But unexpectedly, a voice from behind him did.

"It’s because you broke his heart."

Muchen’s body froze. His breath hitched as he turned, his golden eyes landing on Jai, who stood shirtless, his body trembling as silent tears streaked down his face.

"What the fuck did you just say?" Muchen’s voice was low, dangerously calm.

Jai scoffed, though his voice was hoarse. "You fucking heard me. You broke his heart. What, did I say it wrong? You used my friend and then let him go. Why do you think he left?"

Muchen’s jaw clenched so tightly it hurt. He inhaled sharply through his nose, forcing himself to stay calm.

"Did he tell you that?" His anger shifted—directed at the unconscious man in his arms. His hold on Yunfeng’s hand tightened.

"You fucking bastard," he whispered, his voice raw. "When did we break up? Did I say we were over? Did I tell you to leave the fucking city?"

A sudden, sharp kick—not enough to hurt, but enough to make his frustration known—landed against Yunfeng’s leg.

"Hey!" Jai came running, shoving Muchen’s shoulder. "Use your words, damn it! How dare you hurt him!"

Jai’s interference only fanned the flames of Muchen’s fury. His golden eyes burned as he stood up, towering over Jai.

"So what?" Muchen’s voice dropped to a near-growl. "You two are a thing now? That it? He left me for you, huh?" His lips curled into a sneer as he looked Jai up and down. "What the fuck do you have? You don’t even have my looks."

Jai gaped, utterly speechless.

"You—you—"

"Yeah, yeah, you you," Muchen mocked, his voice dripping with venom. His chest heaved as he turned back to Yunfeng, his eyes softening despite the storm in his heart. He leaned over, pressing his forehead against Yunfeng’s burning one. "You’re mine," he whispered. His fingers trembled as they brushed through Yunfeng’s damp hair. "My Yunfeng."

And then—

A flash.

His golden eyes glowed, burning with an unnatural radiance. The dim surroundings of the ruined store were momentarily bathed in light, the golden hue casting long shadows against the walls.

Jai stumbled back, eyes widening in sheer terror.

"What the fuck—"

Without hesitation, he bolted, running straight to the only other person he trusted in this group. He threw himself behind Shao, gripping the back of his shirt like a terrified child.

"H-he’s scary," he stammered, barely able to get the words out.

Shao, who had been silent this entire time, merely glanced at Muchen. His expression remained unreadable, but his gaze lingered on the still-glowing golden eyes.

Muchen’s golden eyes dimmed slightly as he gazed at Yunfeng, his expression a storm of emotions—anger, sorrow, desperation. He gently stroked the sweat-dampened strands of hair away from Yunfeng’s face, his fingers trembling.

"When... when did I break your heart, you cold-hearted bastard?" he whispered, voice hoarse from all the shouting, all the pent-up pain. His thumb traced the outline of Yunfeng’s jaw, the once vibrant skin now pale and clammy under his touch.

"I did everything to make you feel loved..." His breath hitched. "I love you so much... so so much that it hurts even to breathe." His hand clenched into a fist. "Why did you steal my heart only to break it again...?"

"I will never agree to break up with you.. never.. so you better give up on that thought. Even if you ran to the end of the world I will come find you. I will make you love me again.."

His lips quivered.

"so you can’t leave me."

He leaned down, pressing a lingering kiss to Yunfeng’s cheek, his own face wet with tears he hadn’t even realized were falling. His lips barely left his lover’s skin as he whispered, "You better wake up and make it up to me."

His forehead pressed against Yunfeng’s, his warm breath fanning over his face.

"You can’t run away from your responsibilities..."

With the utmost care, Muchen took Yunfeng’s limp hand and placed it over his own stomach. A faint, barely-there tremble coursed through his body as he held it there.

"You can’t run away," he mumbled, his voice nearly inaudible.

Suddenly a faint orange fragrance filled his nostrils. It ws the scent of his lover.. his Yunfeng’s scent.

Sharp pain that had been gnawing at his lower belly suddenly dulled, fading into a strange warmth. It felt as if the baby inside him had recognized Yunfeng’s touch.

Muchen gasped softly, his free hand instinctively pressing over his stomach. A small, breathy chuckle escaped him.

His lips curled into a fragile smile, his fingers tightening around Yunfeng’s.

’Did you feel that, little one?’ he thought, his heart clenching.

’Did you feel your daddy?’

His eyes stung as he cradled Yunfeng’s hand against himself.

’He’s here... He will be here for you...’ His breath trembled. ’If not... I... I don’t know what I’ll do...’

He bit his lip, trying to hold back a sob.

If Yunfeng didn’t wake up... If he didn’t come back to him...

Muchen didn’t know how he would survive it.
