Pregnant for the straight CEO-Chapter 108
~Woo Min~
I pulled into the underground garage ten minutes later, tires screeching a little because I took the turn too sharp, and killed the engine. The place was empty this late, just rows of parked cars and that stale smell of oil, but I didn’t get out right away. I just sat there gripping the wheel, staring at the dashboard like it owed me money.
Rin was still in his car seat, eyes half-open now, watching me with that creepy little-kid stare that makes you feel like they already know all your bullshit. Low key reminded me of that movie, what was it called, Annabelle? Or something, just some scary movie I used to watch back in the day, but okay okay back to present. The scent had dialed back some after that weird pat-the-air thing he did, but it was still there, leaking out soft and sweet, wrapping around me like a blanket I didn’t ask for.
I rubbed my face hard, trying to scrub away the night. My rut was simmering low in my gut, pissed off that I’d left Junho mid-heat, pissed off that I’d had to choose, pissed off that I was about to let Park Min walk back into my life like he hadn’t blown it up once already.
Great. Family reunion in a parking garage. Real classy.
Rin unbuckled himself, because of course the kid could do that now, I can’t believe how much he had grown. It feels like it was just yesterday when I had to soothe Yu Jin with my pheromones and carry this little baby in my arms and now that I’m seeing him in potential danger my heart was hurting, his little fingers too damn smart and crawled over the console into my lap. He didn’t say anything, just shoved his face into my neck and grabbed fistfuls of my hoodie again.
"You okay, buddy?" I muttered, arms coming around him automatic.
He nodded against my skin, then pulled back and looked me dead in the eye. "Papa’s gonna be mad you called him, Daddy said to allow papa rest for a while ." That stupid bald headed Park min, he’s definitely the one who told my baby this.
I snorted. "Yeah, well, Papa can join the club. Everyone’s mad at me tonight."
Rin tilted his head. "Father Park min’s the maddest."
Jesus. Knife to the chest. "Yeah. He’s got reasons." 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
"You left him hurting."
"I know, kid. I know."
He patted my cheek like I was the five-year-old. "You’re dumb sometimes."
I laughed, short and rough. "Tell me something I don’t know."
Headlights swept across the garage then, bright and sharp, and I tensed up instant. Black SUV rolled in slow, parked two spots over. Doors opened.
Yu Jin got out first, face pale under the fluorescent lights, hair messy like he’d been pulling at it. He made this choked sound when he saw Rin in my arms and bolted over, hands shaking as he reached for him.
"Baby, oh my God, baby... "
Rin wiggled out of my grip and launched at him. Yu Jin caught him hard, crushing him close, rocking side to side, muttering stuff like "I’m sorry, I’m so sorry" over and over into his hair.
I stayed by my car, arms crossed, watching Park Min get out last.
He hadn’t changed much. Still tall, still built like he could snap you in half without trying, still wearing that same calm look that made you want to punch him just to see if anything rattled inside. His scent hit me next heavy, dark, controlled. Now through and through. Older than mine would ever be. Except Yu Jin hadn’t seemed to have busted his ass in a while.
He shut the door soft and walked over, eyes on Rin first, then flicking to me.
"Thanks for finding him," he said, voice low.
"Don’t thank me yet. I lost him so it’s my fault. " I jerked my chin toward Rin. "He’s leaking pheromones like a broken faucet. Every alpha between the park and here tried to follow us home."
Park Min’s jaw tightened, just a little. "I felt it from across the city."
"Yeah? Then maybe you should’ve felt the guy who lured him into the woods too."
Yu Jin’s head snapped up, eyes wide and wet. "What guy?"
Park Min lifted a hand, gentle, stopping him. "Later."
"No, not later," I snapped. "Now. Your kid walked off because some Alpha asshole called him with his voice in his head or whatever the fuck you people do. Rin said he smelled like candy but angry. Sound familiar?"
Park Min didn’t flinch, but something dark moved behind his eyes. "I’ve got enemies. Old ones."
"No shit."
Yu Jin hugged Rin tighter. "We’re taking him home."
"Good luck with that," I said. "While you guys were busy doing whatever you were doing I was down here with a rut. Have you guys noticed how much you’ve been ignoring Rin, ever since Park.... ."
Yu Jin blinked. "Not now Min, not here please. You really wanna do this here?"
"No Yu Jin but what has been going on with your life, you didn’t even give me any updates. ." My voice cracked on the last part, and I hated it.
Park Min studied me for a second, then nodded once. "We’ll go up. I’ll help Rin pull it in. Then we talk."
I laughed, bitter. "Talk. Sure. Been waiting years for that conversation."
He didn’t answer, just started walking toward the elevator. Yu Jin followed, Rin clinging to his neck but twisting around to look at me, reaching one hand back.
I sighed and went after them.
The ride up was quiet except for Yu Jin whispering to Rin, asking if he was hurt, if he was scared, getting soft little "no" answers and head shakes. Rin kept staring at me over Yu Jin’s shoulder like he was waiting for me to fix everything.
Fat chance.
We hit my floor. I unlocked the door slow, bracing myself.
