Chapter 792: Kent’s Overpowered Emotions [Bonus]

Kent stood there, staring at the body of his wife sleeping peacefully on the bed.

Hearing what Vexthra said, he couldn’t help shaking his head. To him, his wives were treasures he held dear to his heart.

They made his life complete, so seeing one of them hurt and the other heartbroken made him feel like a failure.

"You all are perfect. I don’t need you proving yourselves to me to see that. I can see you all, so why go to such extreme lengths just to make me want to see you?"

Kent asked, and Vexthra smiled.

"Because we love you and want to do everything for you. Why do you think we wanted to take the dungeon off your hands so you could go out there and handle your business?

We wanted to take as many loads as you carry off your shoulders, for we are your wives and that is our role.

We aren’t just housewives or bed warmers. We are warriors, and for that, we would do everything in our power to make sure your dreams come true."

"How about your dreams? Dont you have to make them come true too?"

Vexthra’s smile blossomed into a small, loving laugh. "Our dream is to see your dreams come true. Our dream is to see you happy, fulfilled, and above all else, loved.

It may sound unusual to you to hear a group of beautiful women share the same dream.

I know it’s weird; however, that’s our dream—every last one of us. So, whenever you’re out facing danger, know that we are here, just a snap away to come to your aid.

You may be strong, Kent, but with us by your side, you will be unstoppable.

So instead of saying it, be happy that we are here for you. We are not going anywhere, nor do we plan on abandoning you. We need you, and you need us."

Vexthra stood up and hugged the big softy, who had become emotional, tears falling from his eyes. The last time Kent cried was when his mom died.

Since then, he had never known tears, but today, he couldn’t hold back his emotions.

’What did I do to deserve all this love? Do I even deserve this much love, dedication, and commitment? Am I even worthy of being loved this much?’

His emotions were in turmoil, unsure of what to think. Just a little over three years ago, he was but a lonely 34-year-old with nothing but hate buried deep in his heart.

He had nobody in his life, for he was incapable of feeling love. He couldn’t feel emotions. He was unworthy of being loved.

But now, he had not only one, but eighteen women willing to do everything they could to see him happy. That is just too much for someone like him not to feel something.

Being loved that deeply was just too much for him to handle. However, Kent’s emotional outburst turns out to have caused a much bigger disaster than anyone would have expected.

[Core of the Universe - Lady Universe’s POV]

The beauty sitting at the core of the universe heard all Vexthra said to Kent, and for a moment, something broke in her.

She was a cosmic being, someone born from the energy that the universe was created from. She was the core of the universe.

Although the universe behaves on its own, at its core is her. She is the heart and soul.

Aomeone like her was incapable of feeling love for anyone. Doing so would make her biased. This was why, for years, she remained the emotionless, calculative person the universe was supposed to be.

However, that all shattered when a certain dragon came into existence. At first, she felt skeptical about approaching him; however, she did, and that was when everything changed for her.

Of course, back then, she was incapable of loving.

She was incapable of expressing her love.

However, when her life was threatened, when the universe was threatened, when everything was becoming undone, this dragon stood by her, made sure she was protected. When it came to it, he gave his life without any hesitation to ensure she was safe.

That moment was when she fell in love for the first time. Ever since then, she had been following him in the many lives he had led.

She saw him love, live, and die on his own terms.

However, even through it all, her heart never shook, not even once.

But for the first time after watching him, following his life and doing all she could for him, her heart shook and broke watching Kent cry.

Hearing all Vexthra said and hearing all Kent thought about himself, she felt his pain, and that broke her.

"Nania, I don’t have to tell you, but crying is not an option. You can’t cry. You saw what happened the last time I cried. You saw the damage that was caused. So please, sister, don’t cry."

The enchantress’s voice entered the core, ensuring the emotional universe didn’t cry. Who knew the damage she would cause if she were to shed even a single tear?

"I can’t hold it, Diana, I just can’t."

"This is a problem." The enchantress, also known as Diana, appeared at the core of the universe and took Nania’s hand.

"Listen to me, Nania, you are the heart and soul of the universe. You are a cosmic being. You can’t express emotion through crying.

Doing so will cause more harm than good. So for his sake, for everyone’s sake, find a way to hold back your emotion."

If she were made of flesh like humans, she would have long shed her tears, but as a cosmic being, crying just one tear can take years, perhaps centuries.

So, if she doesn’t hold her emotions firm now, she will destroy more worlds in a couple of years, and since this was related to Kent, perhaps months from now or even weeks.

It could be any moment.

The universe cried before, on multiple occasions, but it wasn’t from her heart and soul. This was a first, and that alone is more than the universe needs at the moment.

Thankfully, her tears didn’t fall from her eyes. Without even knowing it, four people cried their tears.

Inside the mountain garden, Gaia, Akira, and Dori cried tears meant for their mother. It was the emotion they had never felt before.

Inside the legion tower, Unity also cried. She didn’t know why, but all of a sudden, she felt an emotion so pure that it overwhelmed her, causing her to burst into tears.

She, along with the three cosmic entities, cried, and the repercussions will be paid in due time. Three cosmic beings and a goddess, whose story the universe cannot wait to tell, cried when they shouldn’t have.

While the damage wasn’t immediate, it will soon come knocking.

---

After the emotional moment shared with Vexthra, Kent regained his composure and stayed with Camilla for a few hours before heading to the Legion Tower.

He had to ensure the rest of his wives and legion didn’t get depressed over their loss.

Of course, if anyone heard they had lost because they couldn’t win a battle with their first plan but actually won with the second of five plans, they would probably curse them for being petty.

But even so, he had to make sure they didn’t turn into a bunch of heartbroken dolls. He had his own plans, and babysitting them wasn’t one of them.
