Primordial Heir: Nine Stars-Chapter 89: Adam’s Team 1
Chapter 89: Adam’s Team 1
After catching his breath, Lux prepared to depart. As he checked his smart bracelet, the score displayed [272]. They had previously divided the monsters equally, so four orcs should have netted them 20 points. However, the total had risen to 22, clearly indicating that the mutated orc he had just slain had contributed an impressive 7 points.
"Not bad!" Lux chuckled, feeling a surge of satisfaction as he made his way toward the princess. They needed to continue their hunt, and he noted that Nero’s team still held first place with a score of [291].
Upon joining the princess, he explained his recent encounter with the mutated orc.
"Tch! How unlucky. I would have loved to fight it," she replied, her desire for stronger monsters unrelenting.
Without wasting any more time, the duo pressed deeper into the forest, eager to continue their quest.

In the southern hemisphere of the ancient forest, Adam’s team found themselves surrounded by fifteen Red goblins, their menacing cackles echoing through the trees.
Adam’s expression was serious as he gripped a giant hammer that was nearly bigger than himself. His brown eyes narrowed dangerously, assessing the threat before him. Without hesitation, he stepped forward, channeling the Law of Earth. Gravity intensified around him, and the nearest red goblins suddenly experienced a suffocating sensation, as if they had been plunged into muddy water. Disoriented and unable to respond properly, they were easy targets as Adam charged at them, swinging his hammer with devastating force.
With each swing, the ground trembled beneath him. The hammer connected with a goblin, and the creature was sent flying, its body crumpling under the sheer weight of the blow. Adam continued to advance, using the Law of Earth to manipulate the terrain around him. As he struck the ground, spikes of earth erupted, impaling any goblin that dared to come too close. He moved with precision, each movement deliberate, the weight of his weapon complemented by the power of the earth itself.
Meanwhile, from the rear, Blake’s previously sleepy demeanor had vanished. His eyes were sharp and focused as he lifted his black crystal wand, ready to cast a spell. Coming from a family that specialized in the Law of Darkness, he was adept at curse spells, but his true expertise lay in the creation of undead. Unlike typical undead, those conjured by his family were distinct, and his creations were even more exceptional.
"Rise and crush them!" he incanted, his voice steady as he wove his magic. From the ground, three dark skeletons rose, each one taller and better dressed than the average skeletal warrior. Their dark bones gleamed like polished steel, reflecting the dim light of the forest. Adorned in tattered remnants of armor, these skeletal warriors bore weapons that seemed to pulse with dark energy—one wielded a jagged sword, another a wickedly curved dagger, and the last held a heavy shield emblazoned with a dark sigil.
The three skeletons stood at attention, disciplined and ready for battle. As Blake directed them, they split into different directions, flanking Adam to provide support without hindering his movements. Their silent coordination was impressive; they understood the ebb and flow of battle, moving with a unity that spoke of rigorous training.
As Adam continued his onslaught, the skeletons engaged the goblins from the sides. One of the skeletons charged at a group of goblins, its sword swinging in wide arcs. It cleaved through the first goblin with ease, the creature’s body falling in two distinct halves. The remaining goblins, taken aback by the sudden appearance of the undead, hesitated for just a moment too long. The skeleton pressed its advantage, relentlessly pursuing the goblins, its movements fluid and lethal.
Blake watched intently, guiding the remaining skeletons with precision. He commanded one to focus on protecting Adam, positioning it strategically to block incoming attacks. As a goblin swung its crude weapon at Adam, the skeleton interceded, deflecting the blow with its shield. The impact echoed through the forest, but the skeleton remained unfazed, countering with a quick thrust of its dagger that found purchase in the goblin’s side.
Meanwhile, Adam continued to utilize the Law of Earth, raising walls of earth to shield himself from projectiles and creating fissures in the ground to trip up the goblins. Each strike of his hammer sent shockwaves through the ground, causing the goblins to lose their footing. He was a force of nature, relentless and powerful, embodying the very essence of the earth as he crushed his enemies.
The scene was chaotic but orchestrated. Blake directed one of the skeletons to flank a group of goblins attempting to swarm Adam. The skeleton moved silently, its sword slicing through the air with deadly accuracy. It decapitated a goblin, while another fell to the ground with a dagger embedded in its chest, courtesy of Blake’s other skeleton.
The battle raged on, and Adam could feel the adrenaline coursing through him.
Boom! Boom!
Each swing of his hammer was fueled by the thrill of combat. He could sense the goblins’ resolve wavering, their numbers dwindling as their comrades fell to the ground, defeated. The earth beneath him responded to his will, rising to meet the needs of the battle. He created a shield of rock to protect himself from a hail of arrows fired by the remaining goblins, then retaliated with a powerful swing that sent shockwaves through their ranks.
With each passing moment, the fight tilted further in their favor.
’’Gyi~’’ ’’Gyi!"
The goblins were disorganized and desperate, their attacks becoming more frantic as they faced the combined might of Adam and Blake’s skeletons. Adam’s hammer crushed another goblin, sending it sprawling, while a skeleton dispatched another with a swift thrust.
Finally, the last few goblins attempted to retreat, but it was too late. Blake commanded his skeletons to cut off their escape routes, and Adam advanced, hammer raised high. With one final, powerful swing, he brought his weapon down, smashing the last goblin into the ground.
Boom!
As the dust settled, Adam stood tall, breathing heavily but victorious. The forest around them was quiet once more, the only sound the rustling of leaves and the distant calls of wildlife. Blake lowered his wand, a satisfied grin spreading across his face as he surveyed the battlefield.
"Not bad," Adam said, wiping sweat from his brow.
"Let’s keep moving before I stop to sleep," Blake replied, his eyes scanning the area for any remaining threats.
Adam didn’t waste time because he knew if he did this lazy ass would turn back into his lazy mode.
