Noah Reyes stared at Adele Horne in disbelief. She was actually willing to admit it, to tell their son that he was his Daddy.

When he looked at Adele again, her eyes were clear and brave, no longer showing the panic she had when she first arrived. She had become much calmer. Now, she was also looking at him, absorbing his disbelief, then smiled faintly, yet sorrowfully, and said, "You're right. It's an undeniable fact. Billy has always longed to meet his Daddy. Ever since he can remember, he has yearned for a Daddy to love and protect him. All the love I give him can never replace his Daddy."

Jimmy Horne was also looking at Noah Reyes. Internally, he was incredibly excited, but on the surface, he appeared calm, as if this revelation didn't particularly affect him. In truth, his heart was already in turmoil. He could call him Daddy now; he really could call him Daddy! He could proudly call him Daddy and no longer worry about making Mommy sad. When the holidays ended and he went back to school, he could proudly tell his classmates that he had a Daddy now, that his Daddy had come back! From a very, very far away place! He, just like everyone else, had a Mommy and a Daddy. He was no longer a bastard!

"Billy." Noah Reyes shifted his gaze from Adele to his son. He called out his name deeply, filled with an endless longing to hear his son call him "Daddy."

Deon Myers stood not far away. Seeing Adele acknowledge the father-son relationship between the Leader and the Young Master, he felt a heartfelt gratitude towards her. This woman, once deemed worthless by the Leader, was actually quite kind.

"Billy, I am your daddy. Billy, call me Daddy, okay?" Noah Reyes reached out, gently taking hold of his son's small frame, gazing at him as he spoke softly.

Jimmy Horne looked up at Adele. She squatted down again, striving to suppress the complex emotions in her heart, and explained gently, "Billy, he is your Daddy. It's Mommy's fault; Mommy shouldn't have hidden this from you. This is something between us adults that ended up involving you. Hurry and call him Daddy. Haven't you always been asking where your Daddy is? Don't you miss him a lot? Go on, call him."

"Mommy, will you be angry?" Jimmy Horne asked in his childish voice.

Adele shook her head.

Her son still cared most about her. The four years she and her son had relied on each other had not been in vain.

"Mommy, will you be sad?" Jimmy Horne asked again, cautiously.

Adele shook her head.

Assured that his mother truly wouldn't be angry or sad, Jimmy Horne suddenly threw himself into Noah Reyes's arms, hugging his neck tightly and crying out, "Daddy! Daddy, I've wanted to call you Daddy for so long! Daddy, why did it take you so long to come back? Why?"

Hearing his son call him "Daddy," Noah Reyes was also overcome with emotion.

"Daddy" was just two simple words, but hearing them from his son's lips had such an enormous impact on him.

"Billy, it's Daddy's fault. Daddy is sorry to you and Mommy. From now on, Daddy will make it up to both of you," Noah Reyes said hoarsely, holding his son's small body.

"Daddy."

"Mm-hmm."

"Daddy."

"Mm-hmm," Noah Reyes responded in a low voice, thinking his son had something more to say.

"Daddy."

Noah Reyes leaned back slightly, meeting his son's eyes.

"Daddy!" Jimmy Horne hugged his neck tightly again and said happily, "I have a Daddy now! I have a Daddy!"

This kid…

Adele Horne stood up straight, watching the father and son embracing and calling out to each other.

She felt a tightness in her throat and a stinging in her nose; she really wanted to cry. However, she ultimately held it back.

She turned and walked gently outside, deciding to give this father and son some private space first.

Outside, the setting sun turned a fiery red, dyeing half the sky.

The sky was ever-changing, shifting from clear to rain, and rain back to clear. Amidst the torrential afternoon downpour, no one would have imagined that a red sunset would still appear. Fate always enjoys catching people off guard, hitting them with the unexpected.

Life is the same way, constantly changing. No one can grasp what will happen next. There will always be the unexpected, moments that catch us off guard.

Just like her. She never imagined she would actually admit that Noah Reyes was Billy's father. She thought she would deny it her whole life. But she didn't regret it.

「The Horne Family.」

「The penthouse.」

Julia came out.

Her husband and son had been playing in the swimming pool for quite a while now.

If they continued, she worried her son's small body would catch a cold.

After all, children are small and not as physically robust as adults.

"Daddy, look out!" Ivan Horne's hair was completely soaked and dripping, but he was still having a great time, using his little hands to splash water at Glades Horne.

Glades Horne smiled indulgently. "Okay, Daddy's ready for it!"

Glades Horne's hair and face were also covered in water droplets, but he didn't care in the slightest. This was the first time in his thirty-odd years that he had played in the water with such abandon.

The vast crimson of the sunset glowed on his face, making him look even more handsome and rugged with a hint of stubble. It illuminated his relaxation, his indulgence, his recklessness—a side of him rarely seen by the outside world.

Julia, smiling, walked to the edge of the pool, bent down slightly, and said cheerfully to the big and little man in the pool, "Haven't you had enough fun yet? Come on out, it's almost time for dinner."

"Mommy!" Ivan Horne called out happily when he saw Julia.

Glades Horne swam to the poolside, gave Julia a wink, and said with a rare, teasing tone, "Julia, I've completed my mission." He was referring to connecting with his son.

Julia reached out to brush the water droplets from his hair, chuckling. "Come on out. If you soak for too long, our boy will catch a cold." Then she called to Ivan, "Ivan, come here."

Ivan Horne swam over with his flotation ring. Julia reached out to pull him, but Glades Horne lifted their son out of the water from behind, saying to Julia with a smile, "Julia, I'll get him. Don't let this little guy get your clothes wet."

After their son was out of the pool, Julia quickly grabbed a dry towel to wipe the water from his body and hair, then found his clothes and dressed him.

Glades Horne was still soaking in the pool.

Julia, holding her son's hand, turned to leave. Seeing Glades still in the water, she couldn't help asking, "Glades, you're not actually waiting for me to pull you out too, are you?"

Glades Horne chuckled softly but didn't answer.

A moment later, he got out on his own.

Julia thoughtfully took a towel and helped him wipe off the water, murmuring, "Such a grown man, still playing in the water with your son for so long. If I hadn't come out, would you two have stayed in the pool all night? You have the stamina, but our son is still young; he can't keep up with you. Glades, the little ladies are all enrolled in the Literary and Martial Arts School. Should we consider moving Ivan there too? For families like ours, knowing some martial arts for self-defense and personal safety is really good."
