Queen Mommy's Six Genius Babies Found the CEO Daddy-Chapter 209: Just for Profit
At the café.
Nathan’s eyes kept studying Ethan.
Ethan had been sitting there for quite a while, but the man across from him hadn’t said a single word. It was starting to make him uneasy.
"Nathan, what’s wrong? Is there something on my face?"
"Not really. It’s just that I suddenly realized I might not actually know you at all. Every time we’ve met before, it all felt a little too coincidental."
For once, Nathan was actually thinking.
Ethan smiled faintly, hiding his true intentions as he let out a soft laugh. "What got into you today? Don’t forget—we’re sworn brothers."
"I never said we weren’t brothers. I’m just curious. I came to see you today because of my dad. He told me to pass along that the cooperation can continue. But he never told me exactly what kind of cooperation you two have. So I’m confused. Can you tell me?" He spoke earnestly, looking straight into Ethan’s eyes.
"Just some business cooperation," Ethan replied.
"That’s all?"
Ethan spread his hands and said with a smile, "What else could it be? Of course it’s business. Wright Group wants to open a branch in City A—don’t tell me you don’t know that."
Frank had been staying in a rented commercial building with his people every day, already having his eye on a property and waiting for it to go on the market.
Nathan naturally knew this. He said in a low voice, "I thought you were doing something behind my back. If my dad hides things from me, I at least hope you won’t. Ethan, you said it yourself—we’re brothers. Don’t lie to me."
"Of course. By the way, someone recently sent me a girl—pure, sweet, very cute. But I already have Olivia. Want her?"
Nathan raised an eyebrow and shook his head. "I’m not into the cutesy type. I like mature women."
"Mature women? What a coincidence. There just happens to be a woman who came to me on her own recently. Want to take a look?"
"No, not really interested."
"You should at least take a look. Trust me—you’ll like her."
Nathan refused, but Ethan quietly came up with a plan and picked up his phone to make a call.
Twenty minutes later—
"Mr. Trump~"
The syrupy voice made goosebumps rise instantly.
The woman had long, golden waves, a curvy figure, and a tight dark red dress hugging her hips. Her lips were fiery red, and her cat-like eyes were full of allure.
With just one glance, Nathan was completely stunned.
Emily casually leaned against Ethan’s shoulder. "Mr. Trump, what kind of wind is blowing today that made you think of me?"
"I’m introducing someone to you today. This is Nathan, the eldest son of the Wright family."
When Emily looked at him, her beautiful eyes were full of temptation.
"So you’re the young master of the Wright family. I’m Emily."
She reached out her hand gracefully. Their hands clasped.
Nathan found himself unwilling to let go. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Back then, Nathan had taken a liking to a partner company’s young secretary and flirted with her. Soon after, the secretary was fired.
That secretary... was Emily.
Back then, she wore professional office attire and was irresistibly alluring. But now—how had she become like this?
He frowned. More importantly, it seemed like she didn’t even remember him.
"You—"
Before Nathan could finish, Emily smiled and asked Ethan beside her, "Did you miss me?"
"Of course."
"Ethan, aren’t you with Olivia? Didn’t you say you were going to get married?"
"Marriage?" Ethan scoffed lightly. "To me, that word is just a trick to fool kids. If I truly loved someone, how could I wait so many years to marry her? Nathan, you’re still too naive. There’s no such thing as pure love in this world—only struggles for power."
He had stopped liking Olivia a long time ago. All he wanted was everything belonging to Morgan Group.
As for that idiot—she had actually dared to use his rib for her own nose job!
Nathan’s gaze grew complicated.
"Nathan, well? Emily is very charming. If... you’re interested, I can have her stay by your side and help you with some things."
Emily seemed not to understand the deeper meaning behind his words and kept smiling.
Nathan felt dazed. By the time he came to his senses, the word "okay" had already left his mouth.
Ethan curled his lips into a faint smile, stood up, and casually straightened his shirt. "Nathan, I still have things to deal with at the company. I’ll head out first. Let Emily keep you company."
"Alright."
As Ethan left, his fingers brushed lightly across Emily’s cheek. The two exchanged a glance.
After he was gone, Emily leaned in close to Nathan.
Nathan turned his head and met a pair of mature, playful eyes.
"Nathan, long time no see~"
His breathing hitched—she remembered him!
Outside the café.
Ethan glanced at the two people inside who were holding each other passionately. A flash of mockery passed through his eyes.
So Nathan really was brainless, just as he thought.
He lowered his head and checked the time on his watch.
It was already so late.
He still had to go pick up Olivia.
Olivia had been filming nonstop for several days and finally had two days off.
The moment she spotted him at the airport, she rushed over and threw her arms around him.
"Darling~"
Ethan smiled faintly, lowered his head, and kissed her on the lips. "Did you miss me?"
"Yes."
Olivia quickly put on her mask and said softly, "There are a lot of paparazzi at the airport. Let’s go first."
With their fingers tightly interlocked, the two left the airport together.
As they stood outside the entrance, Ethan suddenly lifted his hand and placed it on her head.
"What is it?" she asked.
"There’s a leaf."
He plucked it away, leaned in close to her ear affectionately, and in the heat of the moment, the two kissed again.
In the shadows, cameras from the paparazzi flashed nonstop.
Once Olivia got into the car, she yawned.
"Olivia, are you tired?" Ethan asked.
"Yeah, a little. A few days ago, I actually saw Sophia at the film set. But I thought about it and figured it must’ve been because of Harper."
Ethan looked ahead and said casually, "Don’t make an enemy of her. She has too many powerful people around her. You might not know this, but even Devin wants to get involved."
"Devin? That’s impossible. There’s almost no connection between them."
"You don’t understand. Devin likes Sophia, but he’s never had the chance. If they weren’t already married, he definitely wouldn’t be willing to give up."
He knew better than anyone how ruthless Devin could be.
Olivia frowned. "I’ve said it before—Sophia is a seductress, just like her mother. Both of them are shameless lowlifes! Who knows what tricks she used to hook so many men. But I’ll make sure she understands one thing—offending me will absolutely lead to a terrible end!"
As she spoke, a flash of malice flickered in her eyes.
She casually turned to look out the car window.
Suddenly—
"Stop the car!"
She stared in panic at the person who had just walked past on the opposite side of the street with their head lowered.
"Olivia, what’s wrong?" Ethan asked.
"Aurora—it’s Aurora!"
She flung the car door open and rushed out to chase after her.
Suddenly—"Watch out!"
A truck sped past at full speed. Ethan reacted instantly, yanking her back into his arms. "Are you crazy?!"
