Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class-Chapter 399: Floating Abyssal Sea (2/2)
"Today is the 7th day, so you all can stay for up to 23 days more unless you die or decide to leave! That's all. Rest for a bit. We will arrive at our destination in five minutes."
As the Supreme Emperor went back to his seat at the upper part of the deck on an elevated frontal at the bow of the ship, the rest of the people onboard also relaxed and began talking to each other, suddenly increasing the noise.
There were easily over five thousand people, and each party had two or more Immortal Emperors, while the smallest party aside from theirs had five people.
'Darling, we will have to hide our true powers and use other abilities,' Lily smiled. 'It'll be fun. Let's create a set of new abilities and progress in our second intent. This Floating Abyssal Sea sounds so fun that I think it's already worth the trip we made.'
'Indeed. But we still have a lot to do and explore on this trip,' Almond's eyes glittered. 'The cosmoses of the second layer, especially the top 100, really have exotic wonders that just help us open our minds to new possibilities, and this is just our first destination.'
"Oy, you three. Are you sure you are up for this job?"
Almond, Lily, and Raicanor turned to their left and saw a leopard beastfolk with horns and wings, a hybrid—An immortal Emperor of high stage, his aura as strong as Raicanor's, though it couldn't be determined who would win unless they fought.
He had seven people in his party, with two more Immortal Emperors and the rest of the members being Immortal Kings.
"Two Immortals and one Immortal Emperor…" the fair-skinned elf man, another Immortal Emperor of the same party, shook his head. "Hold onto the token tightly. You might have to use it sooner rather than later."
The female Immortal Emperor, who was a white cat beauty and also exuded the strongest aura, said with a faint smile, "If you'd like to join our party temporarily, we don't mind. However, if your performance is not up to our standards, we will have to separate."
"Lyna, are you sure?" the leopard man raised his eyebrows.
"Well, it's just giving them a chance. I remember getting one, so I don't mind giving one to others," Lyna smiled.
Almond and Lily glanced at each other.
"I am a mount of my young master and young miss here," Raicanor spoke, his arms crossed. "And we are thankful for the opportunity that we will gladly take."
"Thanks," Almond smiled at Lyna.
Lily also nodded, "We appreciate it."
'Well, I guess we will be able to have some fun. But we should show a certain level of combat power,' Lily internally smiled as she and Almond talked.
'Well, there are geniuses who can indeed display higher combat power than their rank. I heard Big Ten clans have Immortals who can reach the power level of Immortal Emperors, but we'll tone it down a bit and create an arsenal of abilities to display medium to occasionally high-stage Immortal King prowess.'
'Sounds good.'
"I am Lyna, the party's leader. This spotty man here is Garnol, and this elf here is my husband, Devon."
"I am Ash, and this is my wife, Ivy."
Afterward, Raicanor introduced himself. "Raicanor. You can call me Rai."
Then the seven Immortal Kings introduced themselves, who were going to be called by their features rather than names for an easy reading experience.
Curious about something, Almond asked, "Is it common to get attacked by other parties in the Floating Abyssal Sea?"
"It's not uncommon, that's for sure," Garnol said with a grin. "A small party like yours is an easy target. You would likely be looted at the threat of your life and will be released before the same thing happens to you by another party."
"That's why small parties aren't recommended," Garnol wryly smiled. "I am honestly surprised you three decided to join. Two Immortals and one Immortal Emperor is simply throwing yourself into a death trap."
"Seriously. If it wasn't for sister Lyna, I doubt anyone here would have accepted you at the party," a twin-tailed pink human girl, one of the Immortal-Kings, snorted.
"Now, now. I'm sure they are powerful," Lyna's eyes gleamed as she looked at Almond and Lily. "Despite being Immortals, you two have a certain aura of power. I am assuming you have more than you are letting on."
Lily and Almond were surprised. This cat lady was quite perceptive.
"Well, not to brag, but my young miss and young master here have no opponents within Immortal-rank and can match Immortal-Kings at leisure," Raicanor said with a proud expression.
'Tsk, they don't even know your true prowess.'
'Don't expose us even by mistake, Rai,' Lily scolded.
'Yes, of course. I wouldn't dare do that.'
Hearing Raicanor say that with pride, Lyna and the rest of the party were surprised.
"Well, Ash and Ivy, if you are indeed as this gentleman's praise suggests, then I am looking forward to having our adventure together," Lyna said with a smile.
"We too," Lily grinned. "We'll be in your care."
'This lady is nice, to be honest. My vibe meter isn't averse to her.'
'We'll repay this show of kindness one way or another later,' Almond smiled. 'Since we punish those who mess with us tenfold, we should also show kindness to those who help us.'
'Sounds good. You can create a top-tier artifact and a weapon for this lady with some Griminion Emperor spirits.'
'Yeah, that sounds good. Also, I am tempted to get the true spirits of the exotic monsters we will be seeing in the Floating Abyss Sea, but if they are observing us, that'd be tough.'
'Yeah, just get the normal spirits with memory conversion for now. We'll have a chance to get true spirits later,' Lily replied.

'Also, let me make some not-so-standing-out weapons for us. We'll use something different than what we usually use.'
Lily blinked and decided after thinking for a moment. 'Then I'll use two Chakrams. What about you?'
'Hmmm…since we want to keep the monsters mostly intact and based on the new set of abilities, I am thinking either a bow or a gun would be good for me.'
'Eh? What kind of new combat style are you thinking of making?'
'Combat style involving flexible arrows or bullets with unique styles. I am thinking of transforming arrows and bullets into blade-like expansions upon impact instead of explosions to make sure the monsters stay as complete as possible.'
'Sounds good.'
Five minutes passed by as Almond and Lily talked with others while also conversing telepathically.
Looking at the exotic and vast ocean, Almond and Lily couldn't help but be amazed.
Silvery, glowing, and pulsing with colors that didn't belong to a single spectrum, the sea rippled through the void like a living dream. It emitted a potent, ancient pressure—part psychic, part spiritual. In its depths lurked monsters—not natural beasts, but strange monsters with unorthodox structures and shapes mixed with familiar animalistic features.
The Meuuoran Clan had claimed this sea generations ago, building hovering stone sanctums and crystal reefs for hunters to operate from.
There were already five giant ships decked below the sea, as this exotic ocean had depths going upward instead of downward.
'This is going to be fun.'
