Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 52: Beginning of the Monster Wave
Chapter 52 - Beginning of the Monster Wave
"It's not a joke." Linlin shook her head. "You see... the more achievements my group gets, the more Her Majesty will recognize our efforts. I'm only inviting you for a limited time... so could you help me?"
Right... Sketa Online had that weird-ass system where achievements were given out to the guilds or organizations who dealt the most damage, or killed the most monsters, Rael thought, letting out a sigh.
"You're going to get some annoying labor after this is finished," he said, then pressed "Yes."
He didn't lose anything by helping her, and the more favors he had, the more he could cash in.
24 hours, not bad, Rael thought with a hum, as he turned to Linlin, who now had a smile on her face. "Happy?"
"I am, thank you," she replied softly, before typing in the air.
Soon, the Radiant Dawn's chat appeared in front of him.

The chatroom went silent for a moment before it suddenly erupted.
One guy who was rough around the edges, two somewhat normal girls, and a poet.
There were a few more people here, but it seemed like they didn't want to talk.
Out of curiosity, he decided to check Linlin's stats.
[Status]
Name: Linlin Xu
Class Variation: ??? (General Class Boss)
Age: 21
Level: 143
•—Stats—•
Health Points (HP): [391,480,000/391,480,000] (+???)

Constitution: ??? (+???)
Intelligence: 23,816 (+8,154)
Wisdom: 32,183 (+11,002)
Charisma: 85,335
It was a bit shocking to see her stats—especially since they were so much higher than his.
But of course, he'd love to figure out where both Zafira and Linlin were getting this amount of HP from.
Boss Monsters naturally had their own HP modifiers, but unlike them, he and these girls had their own status screens—so that meant something else was at play.
What it was? Rael didn't know.
But god fucking damn, players would only rival her if they reached level 300, considering their modifier increases every 50 levels—similarly to mine now, Rael pondered, as he decided to lurk in chat for a while longer.
They kept talking about him, making up some weird theories, until eventually...
Rael quickly flashed a nod at Linlin, who did the same, and soon the two began heading south.
Below, he could see a bunch of players frantically running around—some already wearing weird tabards, signifying their guilds.
Nonetheless, that wasn't important, as he finally arrived at the edge of the city—and despite him being on top of a building, Rael could feel the ground shaking.
And of course, in the very distance, beyond the wall, he saw a massive horde of monsters, which he quickly inspected.
—Troll Warrior [Level 55] [17,300/17,300 HP]
—Flying Flower Pot [Level 58] [21,200/21,200 HP]
—Shadow Panther [Level 63] [29,700/29,700 HP]
—Wasp of The End (Vice-General Class Elite) [Level 55] [2,595,000/2,595,000]
There were simply too many of them to count—but they had one thing in common.
A fuck ton of experience for me.
Rael turned to Linlin, who was preoccupied with her hair.
"What are you doing?" he asked, confused.
"What do you think I'm doing? Thousands of people will see me fight. If I look like an idiot, then I'll die of embarrassment," Linlin replied with a slight blush.
"Unbelievable..." Rael sighed, but upon noticing her struggle, he decided to help her out.
He glanced into the Premium Shop, before purchasing some cheap comb and handing it to her. "Here."
"Huh? You carry this around too? Wow, I wonder what else you have in there," Linlin said in amazement, as she picked up the comb and began fixing her hair.
After a few moments, she was done, and he was also ready to fight.
Looking down, he saw several players rush through the gate and toward the monsters.
But it seemed like they didn't understand the event's actual purpose.
Level 50 monsters would obviously one-shot the players—however, if they stuck near the city and attacked from time to time, they could soak up experience and gain some skills.
Stupid balancing shit by the developers, just like in the past, Rael grumbled, as he decided to finally make his move.
"I'm going—see you later."
"Try not to get hurt—protecting you there will be a bit hard," Linlin said, tying her hair in a bun.
However, Rael merely scoffed.
Protect? Him?
No one's touching my experience farm.
Rael jumped down the tall roof, landing cleanly in the street.
Since his cloak was still on, no one paid attention to him—so he merely began running out of the city through its gate, which was about to be closed.
"Oi, kid, where the fuck do you think you're going!" the guard shouted reaching for him.
Rael's brow twitched, but just as the guard was about to grab him, he kicked off the ground and vaulted onto a nearby wall.
Before the guard could call reinforcements, Rael used the momentum to send himself out of the city's gate—just as it was about to close.
He landed on the ground, skidding slightly as he regained his footing.
In the distance, there were monsters—but beside him were a bunch of soldiers, wearing fancy armor and even riding horses.
Rael stopped, his intrusive thoughts taking over.
Fuck... Can I buy a tank?
