Re: God of Formation.-Chapter 159: Spirit Gathering Array Formation.
It had been three days since Jun Wu settled in Clear Wind City. His presence had increased the city's population by a large margin.
Many were curious about the First Master Teacher and thus came to see him.
Some array masters also came to consult him, hoping to clear doubts clouding their understanding of array formations.
With Jun Wu's growing fame, no one doubted him or his authority. Many already began accepting the Master Teacher as the will of Heaven.
In the last three days, Jun Wu had only gone out to meet people once.
Thousands gathered in front of the mansion that the Xun clan had given him.
It was not that he did not want to conduct another open lecture, but he decided to take another approach.
Which was to spread knowledge through books.
Thus, he focused on compiling books on array formation, solving the most complicated theories, and debunking myths about array formation.
Finally, he finished compiling the books. He split the introduction into three sections.
The first book was an introduction to array formation. It spoke about the wonder of array formation and its various applications.
The second book delved into array diagrams and patterns, describing various diagrams and what they had in common.
The last book was a dictionary. It explained all the nuances of the basic array formations.
But that was not the most important gain. His most valuable achievement was mastering the elusive Spirit Gathering Array Formation.
He had been trying to comprehend the Spirit Gathering Array Formation for months, but he always missed the last part of the formation.
Now, at last, he had solved the Spirit Gathering Array Formation. And he had not only solved it; he had optimized it with the help of the system.
It had become the Essence Gathering Array Formation.
Compared to the Spirit Gathering Array Formation, which solely depended on spirit stones and the spiritual energy in the atmosphere, the Essence Gathering Array Formation could use a Ruin Beast soul core to process the chaotic into pure essence suitable for cultivation.
Not only that, the Essence Gathering Array Formation could gather spiritual energy from the atmosphere at a much quicker rate and it could also use spirit stones.
This trifecta of functions made it perfect for the barren Soaring Cloud Region.
Coming out of his room, Jun Wu's face was full of smiles. He walked to the courtyard and found his two assistants waiting patiently.
"Young Master, you're out," Xun Bin asked respectfully.
Earlier, they did not know how fortunate they were to be accepted as Jun Wu's assistants, but in the past three days, they had witnessed many people willing to serve him.
Some even volunteered to become his maids or guards, but Jun Wu rejected them.
This alone proved their luck.
They might not have become a Master Teacher, but this did not depart from their aspirations by much.
As his assistants, they could learn a great deal compared to ordinary people. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Apart from that, the respect and pride directed at them by others was something they had never imagined.
Thus, inwardly they could not help but thank their clan elders for choosing them. Now, they wholeheartedly served under him.
"Are you standing here, waiting for me?" Jun Wu could not help but ask with a light frown.
"Yes, Young Master," Xun Chen responded with a nod. "As your assistants, we must not be far from you."
Listening to their reasoning, Jun Wu nodded and reconsidered his stance. He wanted to tell them not to wait for him again, but he decided against it.
"Xun Bin, go and buy the materials on this list." He handed her a list.
Receiving the list, she studied the long list of items and furrowed her brow, then recovered. "Yes, Young Master," she said, nodding, and departed swiftly.
Jun Wu looked at Xun Chen. "Tell Zhang Wei and Mao Yun to meet me in my study."
"Yes, Young Master."
A few seconds later, Mao Yun and Zhang Wei stood before Jun Wu respectfully inside the study.
"How is it?" Jun Wu asked.
"Young Master, Wei Jian has spread his beggars throughout the city, but they have yet to find any suspicious individuals," Zhang Wei replied.
"And your men?" he asked Mao Yun.
"Young Master, they are ready and waiting for your instruction," he responded firmly.
Zhang Wei was in charge of intelligence gathering, while Mao Yun took care of eliminating any threats to Jun Wu.
What happened in Dawn City had been the work of Mao Yun's men.
As long as Zhang Wei's intelligence detected any threat to Jun Wu, Mao Yun's men would be sent to eliminate it.
Before moving to any city, Wei Jian, the beggar from Mystic City, would dispatch his beggars to scout ahead for danger.
As beggars, no one would suspect they were a spy unit sent by Jun Wu's underlings.
Since Jun Wu had decided to stop remaining passive, he would not hesitate to kill anyone who stood in his way, even if they were from the Jun clan.
"Good. You've done well," Jun Wu nodded, pleased with their work. "How is your cultivation?"
When the two heard this, their proud expressions faltered.
"Young Master, our progress is too slow," Mao Yun admitted, shaking his head dejectedly.
Except if they used spirit stones, cultivation was usually slow.
Their growth had barely moved, and if they continued like this, they did not know when they would break through to the next stage.
"Yes, Young Master, I've used all my spirit stones. Even so, my cultivation barely advanced," Zhang Wei added.
Jun Wu was not surprised by their response. Why did the powerful clans control the number of masters who could appear in the Soaring Cloud Region?
Was it not for the limited resources?
With the sparse spiritual energy, cultivators could only rely on spirit stones found in the ruins.
And now, all the ruins around the region have been explored. The few ruins that appeared did not offer notable resources.
Most ruins were Tier-0 and Tier-1.
"Don't worry; everything will soon change," Jun Wu said with a mysterious smile.
Hmm?
Mao Yun and Zhang Wei looked at each other in confusion. What was going on? They wondered.
Jun Wu did not bother elaborating on his plan and left his study. Outside, Xun Bin had already returned with the materials.
"Follow me," he commanded, and everyone followed him.
Arriving at the courtyard, they saw Xinyue teaching her brother how to cultivate.
"Young Master," she called with a bright smile. Her shyness had somewhat receded, and she could not always express her emotions openly.
She walked forward and took Jun Wu's hand.
"I can see your cultivation is progressing quickly," Jun Wu teased, ruffling her hair playfully.
She nodded with a hint of pride. She had just broken through to the Intermediate Stage of the Second-Rated Martial Artist.
Xun Bin and Xun Cheng were at the peak of the Second-Rated Martial Artist stage.
Although they were a bit stronger than she, the aura emanating from her body told them how solid her foundation was.
"Young Master, what would you like to do?" she asked.
"I want to set up an array formation," Jun Wu replied truthfully. He had no reason to lie to her. It was not like he would do anything secretive.
"Oh! All right, I'll help you with it."
Jun Wu did not refuse her help. He quickly gathered the materials and began to process them.
With the materials prepared, he began to engrave the array formation. Everyone remained quiet, not daring to disrupt his concentration.
Besides, they were curious about what type of array he was setting up.
While Jun Wu worked, Elder Peng emerged from the forge and joined the group.
The Spirit Gathering Array encompassed the entire mansion. That was why it took him two hours to complete.
"Young Master, you've worked too hard," Xinyue said, walking toward him and using a handkerchief to wipe the beads of sweat from his forehead.
Watching her gentle act, the others rolled their eyes and looked away, pretending not to notice.
"Thank you," Jun Wu chuckled and gently held her soft hand.
"Young Master, what is the effect of this new array formation?" Elder Peng asked.
Jun Wu smiled mysteriously and activated the Spirit Gathering Array Formation.
"You can feel it for yourself," he replied.
Hmm?
Everyone looked around, but nothing obvious seemed to change at first.
Unknown to them, the Spirit Gathering Array Formation had already begun drawing spiritual energy from the atmosphere toward the mansion.
Suddenly, Mao Yun furrowed his brow.
"Why does the air feel so different?" he mused.
"You're right. It feels different," Zhang Wei added. "Not only that, I can sense the spiritual energy increasing."
Hearing their conversation, everyone's eyes widened as they turned to the smiling Jun Wu.
"Young Master…" Mao Yun widened his eyes in disbelief. He understood what this meant for cultivators.
"You've guessed correctly. This is a Spirit Gathering Array Formation," Jun Wu confirmed.
"Over time, the spiritual energy in the mansion will increase, creating a better cultivation atmosphere for everyone."
"My goodness…" Xun Bin exclaimed softly.
They were not fools. Coming from a Fourth-Tier power, they understood the significance of what was happening.
If news of such an array formation spread, chaos would surely ensue.
Looking at the smiling young man before them, the two Xuns realized how monstrous his talent was.
