Chapter 607: Chapter 605: Death Before Dishonor

The Crown Prince gave a bitter smile, "I thought she told you, and you agreed..."

"Phone." Jiang Kechu interrupted his explanation with suppressed anger.

"Her phone can only make calls out, but not receive calls. Rest assured, she is very safe, nothing will happen to her," said the Crown Prince, waiting for the inevitable sound of Jiang Ke’s ruthless hang-up.

Jiang Kechu paced back and forth in the room twice before barely calming down. He took out the phone and dialed the most familiar number, and sure enough, it was turned off. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"Wan Chu’er!"

Jiang Kechu growled lowly, What should I do with you? The Crown Prince is the most dangerous person, willing to sacrifice anything to achieve his goals. How could he not know how to handle a sister!

He opened the folded letter and read Wan Chu’er’s message to him again, where Wan Chuer asked for his forgiveness for her undisclosed actions and making decisions on her own. Jiang Kechu gave a bitter smile, sighed, and put it away, packing up slightly before heading to the old house. This needed to be told to the old man, who was much better at dealing with these matters than him.

Upon reaching the old house, Jiang Kechu mentioned it to Old Sir Zhong, who immediately said, "I know about this. She came to talk to me about it yesterday afternoon."

Jiang Kechu was puzzled, "Then why didn’t you stop her? You also know that Ming Cheng is not that simple."

He didn’t say the rest. The Crown Prince dragging Wan Chu’er into their schemes might very well be aimed at Old Sir Zhong.

Old Sir Zhong chuckled, "They went abroad. Ming Cheng probably isn’t targeting me. His aim should be in Country Y. We’ll just keep a quiet watch."

"What about Chu’er? She might be in danger..." Jiang Kechu couldn’t help but say.

Old Sir Zhong shook his head, "Before she left, I gave her a tracker. If you want to know her exact location, go find Li Shan. She has been cooped up at home for so many years, it’s about time for her to get out, see the treacherousness of the outside world, so her energy won’t be pent up and she won’t keep picking fights with you every day."

Jiang Kechu felt embarrassed and quickly stated, "I will let her have her way. As long as there is no danger, I will support whatever she wants to do."

Old Sir Zhong smiled and said no more, waving his hand to signal him to leave.

It was already very late, far past the old man’s bedtime. After helping the old man lie down, Jiang Kechu turned off the light and left.

He found Li Shan and asked him to help locate Wan Chu’er’s position. Li Shan said, "I checked two hours ago. She is in the castle, and judging from her activity track, there should be no problems."

Jiang Kechu couldn’t help but ask, "Just how precise is your positioning system?"

"Quite precise. It can even measure the distance from this room to another room."

To think it could be this precise! Jiang Kechu was unable to react for a moment and couldn’t help asking, "Where did the old man get this thing from?"

Li Shan honestly replied, "The old man requested it from the Chief."

Alright then, he could never get such a good thing from the Chief, Jiang Kechu dismissed the thought and instructed Li Shan to keep an eye on Wan Chu’er’s movements and inform him of any irregularities.

Roz Manor, Country Y.

After Wan Chu’er yawned for the third time, Housekeeper Jacob finally informed her that the room was ready. Wan Chuer stood up pulling Ming Wan’s hand.

"Thank goodness, we can finally rest. Aren’t you exhausted too? Let’s chat with Andrew tomorrow."

Ming Wan was indeed a bit excited to see Andrew, but she hadn’t slept much on the plane, and the jet lag made her so drowsy she could barely keep her eyes open.

Andrew could only say, "You go rest first. After I get married, we’ll have more time to talk."

Wan Chuer chuckled, planning to take Ming Wan away immediately after attending the wedding, dragging or carrying her, it didn’t matter.

Upon reaching the second floor, she saw that her luggage had indeed been placed in the room next to Ming Wan’s. The two said goodnight and were about to enter their rooms to rest.

Just as she was about to enter, a thought crossed Wan Chu’er’s mind, and she turned back into Ming Wan’s room.

Ming Wan looked puzzled and asked, "What’s wrong?"

Wan Chuer smiled, "Just checking if they mixed up our luggage." As she spoke, she put her finger to her lips, making a shushing gesture, and began to carefully inspect the room.

This was, after all, the lair of the mafia leader. They surely knew about Ming Wan’s identity, and to think they wouldn’t do anything was simply impossible. Today, Housekeeper Jacob did not seem ordinary; his eyes were deep yet indifferent, clearly a person with depth, and he had an aura of menace, making Wan Chuer think he might have killed before.

Ming Wan watched dumbfounded as Wan Chuer gently looked through the things in the room, wanting to say there wouldn’t be a problem, yet Wan Chuer kept muttering some nonsensical idle talk as if she were deliberately saying it for someone to hear.

Soon, Wan Chuer pulled out a listening device from under the small table in the room. Ming Wan’s expression changed, no longer having the previous joy and weariness.

Wan Chu’er found a total of three listening devices. Seeing these three devices, Ming Wan was somewhat furious, especially because one was found in the bathroom; they even wanted to listen to her in the bathroom! How disgusting!

"Let’s leave. We are not staying here," said Ming Wan, her temper flaring up, feeling that it’s better to die standing than live kneeling. Staying here any longer was simply humiliating.

Wan Chuer opened the window and threw the three monitoring devices out, then pointed to the inky darkness outside, saying:

"Where would we go so late? You saw during the day, didn’t you? There’s no sign of human life for at least ten miles around. We don’t have a car. How far can we go? I might be able to keep walking, but can you?"

Ming Wan bit her lip and kept quiet. She had never faced such hardships before, and although she was acting up a moment ago, Wan Chuer’s two lines of analysis had made her abandon the thought of leaving, and for the moment, she didn’t know what to do.

Suddenly, when Wan Chuer saw Ming Wan turn to leave, she was shocked and quickly stopped her, "Miss, where are you going?"

Ming Wan had a stern look on her face, saying, "I’m going to ask Andrew what he really means!"

"What does he mean?" Wan Chuer laughed lightly, "He doesn’t know anything about the listening devices. They might have been left from before."

Ming Wan widened her eyes and hesitantly asked, "Really?"

Wan Chuer mercilessly shattered her illusion, "I’m just guessing. Your Andrew would definitely say that. How would he admit knowing about this? If he admitted, how could you two maintain your relationship? Only by denying it could you both stick your heads in the sand and continue celebrating your reunion!"

"You!" Ming Wan glared at Wan Chuer, "You’re going too far!"

Having spoken this far, Wan Chuer shook her head, deciding not to leave anymore. She walked over to the window and looked outside, then turned around and asked Ming Wan:

"Andrew said his father had a mistress besides his mother. What do you think?"
