Reborn as a Weak Earthling, I Became the Most Overpowered Mage Alive-Chapter 93: Ch : New Secret Mission
"Is there anyone else who needs to be checked over?"
Lilianna asked as she looked around the base. Her voice sounded tired after being constantly in use, but she felt acknowledged after having helped so many people.
"So, Miss Lilianna. You have taken care of most of the urgent injuries. You should rest and recover for now as well. Otherwise, you might collapse."
One of her patients told her with a concerned face, and Lilianna immediately gave him a startled look.
"No way. If I take rest now, then who would look after the injured-"
She wobbled as she got up, the blood in her body suddenly rushing toward her legs. She would have collapsed if not for Andrew, who suddenly appeared and caught her.
Her heart skipped a beat at the sudden dizziness, but she quickly pushed herself to be independent and gave Andrew a grateful look.
His concerned look made Lilianna feel warm and cold inside at the same time. She could not help but feel like she had made a mistake she needed to apologize for.
"I..."
"Rest for a little while. I will go and help the refugees out in your stead. Most of them have recovered by now as well, so your help will no longer be needed."
Andrew reminded Lilianna, and she nodded. With one last look behind her, she quickly left to join the place where Clara was sitting.
Clara looked exhausted but satisfied as well, and Lilianna suddenly felt glad that she had come out here to help these people out.
Andrew lingered around the base for a little longer before he came to join them.
"Ugh, this was so much work. Setting up a food supply drained me of all my energy. When are we going back to our base?"
Clara asked in a tired voice, and Andrew immediately replied.
"We will be heading back as soon as Emperor and Seraphina return. They have currently gone outside with the scouting unit to look for more beacons."
Andrew told the pair, and they nodded. From here, it was going to be a waiting game. 4 out of 7 days had passed inside the game, and 3 more remained. It would be interesting to see what could happen in these 3 days.
__________
"How weird. This base does not have a beacon? I was sure no one would be able to find it because it was so well-hidden. Seraphina, did you see anything?"
Emperor asked his companion, who shook her head.
Seraphina might have entered the ruins before the Emperor did, but he had not seen anyone else. As for the beacon, she had swiped it off without telling Emperor.
But there was a reason behind it.
"Tsk, looks like we are out of luck. We missed the beacon here. Let’s try another place."
Emperor spoke, and Seraphina nodded. She felt a little guilty, but she had to do things this way. After all, that was what the system demanded from her.
[Extra Mission- Disrupt the humans’ mission of collecting beacons by swiping away 10 of them]
[Current progress 9/10]
They had visited almost two dozen bases, and Seraphina had swiped off the beacon from almost half of them. No wonder Emperor was getting suspicious.
"Time will be of the essence. I will check these two bases, you check on these two. We will meet back at the base in half an hour."
Emperor told Seraphina, and she nodded. Going alone was fine with her. She would be able to swipe the beacon off easily that way.
So they quickly separated.
Monsters started to avoid Seraphina as soon as she was alone, and she easily made her way to the first base.
She swiped off the beacon and pocketed it.

[Please ensure these beacons do not fall into human hands. Make sure you have all the beacons when the game ends.]
The game mission was very specific, and Seraphina felt ticked that she had to betray Andrew like this.
But since she was not actively harming him, she had no reason to feel as bad as she did... for the most part, at least.
Once she cleared out the second base of the beacon and supplies as well, it was time for her to head back to the base.
Emperor was back as well, and they quickly entered the base where Andrew was waiting for them.
Before they could even reach him, Thief blocked their way.
"Sorry to come to you like this, but have you brought the beacon? We have even more refugees coming, and we cannot afford to delay this any longer."
Thief told them in a sympathetic manner.
Neither Seraphina nor Emperor fell for his acting, but they did decide to hand over the beacons to him.
"Here. We have about 10 of them. This should help you out."
Thief nodded in relief.
"This will help... for now. We will eventually have to find more..."
He was hinting at Emperor and Seraphina to help him find more, but they were both smart enough and not interested enough in his operations.
"We will take our leave now."
Seraphina told him before she and Emperor quickly made their way to Andrew to join him and their other companions.
"Are you done on your part? Can we head back now?"
Clara asked as she watched the two they had been waiting for come back.
"Yeah, let’s head back now. We have been away from our base for a lot longer than we expected."
Andrew nodded, and he stood up and helped both Clara and Lilianna stand up as well.
Despite their exhaustion, they made it back to their base, only to come across it having been destroyed.
"N-No way...! My precious crops... why did this happen? Just why...?"
Clara looked like she would cry, and everyone felt bad for her.
"This must have happened because we took the beacon with us. Clara, don’t cry. We will retrieve the crops in no time. So just calm down for now."
Lilianna reminded Clara gently, helping her feel better.
Clara nodded, but her eyes remained slightly moist at having her hard work destroyed.
She knew why Andrew had taken off the beacon before leaving, and she agreed with his decision. But that did not mean that a small part of her mind did not feel annoyed at having her work destroyed.
