Reborn as Mr.CEO's Fat Wife-Chapter 295 - The Doctor Who Helped Deliver Abigail’s Baby
Chapter 295: Chapter 295 The Doctor Who Helped Deliver Abigail’s Baby
Brandon Piers spoke so decisively that Abigail couldn’t help but glance at him, wondering what bad idea he was up to again.
“Soft-hearted?” Brandon met Abigail’s gaze, thinking the little fatty had softened. He raised an eyebrow.
Abigail shook her head. “I’m just curious how you managed to deal with his lawyer.”
As she spoke, Abigail flipped through the contract in her hand with a bit of amusement. There was a subtle language trap in it that Lincoln Green hadn’t noticed. How could his lawyer not have seen it?
“Oh, I forgot to tell you. I personally acquired Lawyer Toynbee’s law firm two days ago. Objectively speaking, he’s my subordinate now, so he naturally looks out for my interests. And does this contract have any problems?” Brandon took the contract from her and glanced at it.
Abigail shook her head. Naturally, there was no problem with the contract. It was just that Lincoln Green would be disappointed.

“No.” Abigail shrugged. What a cunning man.
“That’s good.” Brandon was very pleased with Abigail’s attitude. He despised overly kind people who always found excuses for those who hurt them and ended up miserable and pathetic—such people didn’t deserve any sympathy.
In Brandon’s opinion, even biological parents had no right to harm oneself.
Abigail didn’t know what Brandon was thinking. She looked at him seriously and said, “Thank you.”
Without Brandon, her revenge wouldn’t have progressed so quickly. She especially wanted to see the look on the faces of Hilda Liam and her daughter when they found out that Lincoln Green gave her the 52% share, not the Piers.
Although she didn’t know how Lincoln Green convinced that mother and daughter, he certainly hadn’t mentioned her and must have promised them a large sum of money. If they discovered three days later that the funds had been transferred but they couldn’t use them as they pleased, would they still maintain their usual hypocrisy?
“No need to thank me. I never do losing business. Lincoln’s pharmaceutical subsidiary has three patented daily medications, which now belong to you. And I added a remark in the contract that Lincoln Pharmaceuticals must give priority to supplying hospitals under the Piers in the future.” Brandon made no effort to hide his intentions; it was his best disguise.
Abigail smiled. “As the largest shareholder of Lincoln Pharmaceuticals, I promise that all its products will prioritize the Piers in the future.”
“Smart.” Brandon gave his honest evaluation.
“I’m honored by your compliment.” Abigail, hearing this, teased back.
Brandon couldn’t help but curl his lips slightly. The two briefly discussed the plans for three days later before Abigail hastily went upstairs to take care of Teddy.
As soon as Abigail left, Pullan stepped forward. “Second Master, we found the doctor from Maggie Maternity Hospital who delivered Miss Abigail’s baby. Just as we suspected, but Special Assistant Max found that she lied in the details. Upon further questioning, she didn’t admit to performing the cesarean section or the suturing.”
Pullan didn’t expect the Second Master to be so sharp as to really uncover something.
“Didn’t admit it?” Brandon furrowed his brows. Normally, there’d be no need to hide the birth process. Even if the child’s mother was replaced, the whole internet had exposed it. Why continue hiding and denying it?
Something must have happened during the delivery.
Brandon’s brows furrowed slightly. “Play Kennan Max’s video.”
“Yes.”
“Let’s bring them directly to the mansion. I want to question them personally.” Just as Pullan was about to contact Kennan, Brandon changed his mind.
Pullan found it odd but obediently went to handle it.
An hour later, the doctor and nurses who delivered Abigail’s baby were “invited” to the Piers’ Mansion’s backyard.
Kennan Max personally brought them over.
“Second Master, this is the doctor responsible for delivering the young madam. She resigned from Maggie Maternity on the third day after the delivery and is now working at another maternity in Gills City. These two were the nurses on duty at that time; they still work at Maggie Maternity Hospital.” Kennan introduced the three.
Brandon Piers lazily leaned back in a lounge chair, his long amber eyes sweeping over the three. He hadn’t said anything, and his expression on his face was even considered gentle, but the three felt an immense pressure and couldn’t help but shrink back, especially the female doctor.
“Are you Abigail’s obstetrician?” Brandon casually plucked a blooming pink rose, sniffed it at the tip of his nose, and suddenly questioned.
“I…I was, I…I wasn’t.” The fortysomething female gynecologist, looking at the unbelievably handsome man in front of her, didn’t appreciate it. Instead, she grew increasingly uneasy, knowing who this man was: the second master of the Piers, their heir.
And she also knew his fiancée was the fatty she delivered.
“Hilary Penn, born in 1976, originally from Binghamton. Your husband is Rise Liam, a worker at a private enterprise. You’ve been married for twenty years and have a daughter and a son. Your daughter, Hilda Liam, is a senior at Gills City No. 1 High School at nineteen. Your son, Bright Liam, is seventeen, a freshman at Gills City No. 6 High School. This is his third school transfer in a year…”
Brandon’s soothing voice still sounded pleasant, carrying an unhurried tone in the classic courtyard. But every word felt like a heavy hammer striking Hilary’s heart, especially when mentioning her son, Bright. Hilary’s legs gave out, and she knelt with a thud. “Second Master, please spare me. I beg you to spare me…”
“What is this? Did I threaten you?” Brandon seemed unsatisfied, looking at her, kneeling and begging.
Hilary quickly shook her head. “No, you didn’t. It’s all my fault. It was me who delivered your lady. It was me, it was me…”
“One moment you said it was you, then you said it wasn’t. Are you in menopause early and becoming forgetful?” Brandon’s tone suddenly turned cold.
The female doctor was terrified and began madly kowtowing, fearing any wrong move would make the Second Master target her son. A family like the Piers could crush them like ants.
She thought she had escaped last time, but she didn’t expect the Second Master would investigate again. Hilary, in despair, closed her eyes. “It was indeed me who delivered her, absolutely. But…but I really don’t know who did the suturing…”
Brandon’s face darkened. The doctor performed a cesarean section on Abigail but didn’t know who sutured it? Absurd!
“What exactly happened?”
“This… this…” Hilary couldn’t stop trembling, struggling to control herself and whispering in fear. “She…she lost her breath right after giving birth. Mrs. Green urged us to take the child away first, saying there was no need to suture if she was dead…”
Hilary’s words trailed off intermittently. And on-site, not just Brandon, even the tough Pullan was petrified. What did she mean by not needing to suture because she was dead?
“How could a normal cesarean section lead to a coma?” Brandon asked, his voice low.
“This… this… Mrs. Green was in a hurry and didn’t wait for the anesthetist…”
“What… are you saying?” Brandon involuntarily stood up. “Say it again!”
