Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 159: A bangle she shouldn’t have taken
"Are you ready to continue?" Professor Dan asked, and Amelia nodded.
She wiped the blood from the corner of her lips as her gaze met Cyrus’s concerned one.
He had wanted to interrupt for quite a long time, probably from the time when Luna Diana’s first punch almost knocked Amelia over.
However, Amelia wanted to fight till the very end. She wanted to see how much she could bear before her body collapsed.
Luna Dianna looked at her with narrowed brows.
"Are you so eager to dance with the king that you are ready to die? Do you want me to go easy on you?" Luna Dianna asked.
Amelia shook her head.
She did not want Luna to go easy on her. This wasn’t about the dance anymore, nor was this about Cyrus’s promise to take her somewhere special.
This was about her honor, her practice to become stronger, and more than that, her being adamant about winning the Queen trials, where she would need to face quite a good number of capable alpha females who would challenge her position as Cyrus’s wife.
"No," Amelia uttered a single word.
Luna Dianna shrugged. At least now, no one would blame her for being too harsh on a lantern healer.
"Well, you chose this," Dianna said before she used her Alpha speed and pushed Amelia back.
The force was so brutal that Amelia was thrown a great distance, her body almost sliding down the cliff if not for the stack of bottles placed over there that she held onto at the last moment.
"Luna Dianna, have you lost your mind?" Ryan roared.
Amelia coughed up blood before wiping her bloody lips. A smile appeared on her face when she looked at her blood that was almost engulfing her mark, making it look crimson.
Her body moved on its own. It was almost as if she was losing control over herself, just like how she did when she found herself in Dominic’s territory that night.
Amelia shook her head, thumping her chest to stay conscious of herself.
You are letting her beat you. Do you think I will accept this blatant humiliation? You ruined one life for me. I won’t let you do it again. Amelia heard a strange voice inside her head, and her body nearly shook in shock.
She looked around to see if there was anyone beside her, and she was imagining things, but when she didn’t see anyone, her gaze went back to her crimson mark.
The smile faltered from her face, replaced by a shocked look that soon turned into something grim.
Amelia looked at Luna Dianna, who was looking at her with a smug expression.
She looked at her hand and noticed how she was holding one of the jade bangles that Amelia had brought. Those elements of those bangles had attached themselves to her mark.
And with the mystery of her mark still lingering in the air, she knew this wasn’t a good move.
"This is beautiful. Where did you get it from?" Luna Dianna asked as she examined the bangle.
Kyle, who had wanted to help earlier and resented Cyrus for proposing something like that, looked at the bangle with raised eyebrows.
This wasn’t good. He said to Stone, who was watching the match with intrigue.
"Is that bangle important to Miss Amelia?" Stone asked with raised brows.
"Important? That’s the only thing that’s keeping her sane. Or that was exactly what that woman told me when she gave me that pendant of dragon’s blood," Kyle said.
Stone nodded and looked at Amelia, whose face looked a bit ashen now.
"You shouldn’t have done that," Amelia said.
Luna Dianna raised her brows with fake fear, too proud of her alpha strength.
"Is that so? Oh my, I am scared," Dianna smirked.
Hannah, who was watching from the sidelines while tending to her wounds, scoffed at Amelia.
Just because she won a couple of matches, did she think she could stand against these powerful Lunas who find pleasure in tearing up people and are trained to become warriors?
Wasn’t she giving herself a bit too much credit? Hannah scoffed.
"You should be," Amelia said.
"Hmm? What was that?" Dianna asked, her expression turning grave, tension rising between the duo for real this time as the weight of winning pressed further.
"I said, you should be scared. You never know what a particular ornament means more than life to someone," Amelia said.
Though she didn’t give that much importance to those jade bangles, she knew they were essential to keep her mark in control, just like that woman had told her when she had touched her first jade bangle.
That was the reason why Amelia got an exact pair to divide the energy and calm whatever it was.
But now, one bangle that had attached itself to her was taken away.
"You! How dare a healer like you threaten me?" Power consumed Dianna’s thought process as arrogance took over.
She charged at Amelia in full swing.
However, this time, Amelia was prepared.
She moved her hand through her hair to straighten it so it wouldn’t distract her. As soon as Dianna reached her, Amelia slid to the side before turning her body swiftly, bending and wrapping her legs around Dianna’s head as she twisted herself, throwing her body to the side.
"What the —"
People gasped around her.
Amelia didn’t stop at that. She grabbed Dianna’s hair in a fist before the girl could snap from the shock and jerked her up with an inhumane force.
She punched Dianna’s face before kicking her abdomen, making the girl’s back hit the tree with a loud thud.
Amelia’s eyes turned dark as she licked her lips, her gaze fixated on the bangle in Dianna’s hand.
"Fucking bitch!" Amelia spat the blood in her mouth from earlier before she used the kind of speed no one had ever expected from a healer and attacked Dianna.
She punched and kicked relentlessly, her anger and something deeper inside her finding no end to their hunger for blood.
Seeing her go ballistic on Luna Dianna, Cyrus knew something was wrong, and he noticed how, even though Amelia was attacking Dianna, rather than on her face, her gaze was fixated on the bangle on her hands.
This wasn’t good.
Cyrus walked to where the duo was when everyone started looking at her differently. Professor Dan was about to rush forward to remove Amelia from Dianna with the help of some alphas, but he would be damned if he let others touch his wife.
He held Amelia’s hand as she was about to land another punch and pulled her close to his chest.
"Relax," He cooed in her ears before he snatched the bangle from Dianna’s hand and put it on Amelia’s hand.
He had always wondered why Amelia chose to wear these bangles that didn’t even match her dress most of the time, but today he realized these bangles might have a deeper meaning than he knew.
He had never thought it was that significant, but more importantly, he had never thought Amelia was this possessive over things.
If she could be so possessive over a mere bangle, what would she do at the Queen trials? He wondered before pulling Amelia to the side.
"Please tend to her," Cyrus motioned to Luna, who was beaten black and blue and could barely stand.
Luna Alice looked at Amelia, and for some reason, a strange fear crept in.
She really thought she would have won if she had fought against Amelia earlier, but after seeing this, she felt a little glad that she had fought against Dianna first and lost.
The triplet alphas looked at each other with complicated expressions.
They didn’t know what Amelia had in her, this wolf and untamed side.
However, amidst this, Hannah was the most shocked.
Just what the hell was this? She wondered.
