Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 160: Professor Dan saw it
"What was that all about?" Aaron asked Ryan as they placed the wood in the pile for the bonfire.
Ryan shook his head.
How would he know what all that was? They were all under the impression that Amelia was a timid healer who occasionally expressed her interests and wouldn’t tolerate disrespect.
That was all.
From the rumors, it was clear that she hadn’t even found her wolf yet, and they never smelled one on her anyway.
So, how was he supposed to know from where exactly all this strength came?
This wasn’t normal. A healer wasn’t supposed to beat an alpha female, especially not with the kind of strength that Luna Dianna had.
A healer wasn’t supposed to even look into an Alpha’s eyes without flinching. They weren’t supposed to use that kind of speed that Amelia used in the end, nor were they supposed to have that kind of anger and dominance over a duel.
Everything about what they saw was complicated, and no one knew what to make of it.
Luna Dianna was taken to one of the alpha tents and was being attended to there.
From what they heard from Professor Dan talking to one of the alphas and Hannah, things didn’t look too good for Dianna.
She was in no condition to go downhill on her own.
They also established that if Amelia were in her right mind, she might have found a solution to the problem, but how could they ask for help when she was the one who had caused it all?
And where the hell was she in the first place?
On the other side of the forest, Amelia sat on a rock, her head bowed as she looked at her lap, ready to bear the consequences of her actions earlier.
Cyrus stood before her with his hands crossed on his chest as he gazed at her with a dark look.
"What was that?" he asked.
Amelia didn’t answer. She just kept looking at her lap like a child who knew she was in the wrong.
Honestly, she didn’t even know how to explain what that was since she didn’t know herself what was happening around her anymore.
Seeing her sitting like that, Cyrus’s gaze softened slightly, and he crouched down before her.
He held her hand, massaging her knuckles with the back of his thumb.
"I am your husband, Amelia. Don’t you think I deserve to know?" He asked in a gentle voice.
Amelia licked her bottom lip softly before finally raising her gaze to meet his.
"That’s why I asked you to take me to a mage," she answered.
Cyrus furrowed his brows.
She indeed said that something weird was happening, that there was an invisible mark on her skin, and that she didn’t know how she had reached Dominic’s estate. All she knew was that she was there when she regained consciousness of her surroundings.
But what was that all supposed to do with her obsession with these bangles?
"Can you elaborate a little, sweetheart?" Cyrus placed his forehead on Amelia’s to let her know that he was there with her, no matter what the answer was.
"I told you about the mark on my hand, right?" Amelia asked cautiously.
Cyrus nodded.
"Well, that mark holds some weird powers. I don’t know how it happens. Whenever I am in trouble, the mark glows a different kind of light that only I can see. Every light has a different meaning." Amelia took a deep breath.
"So far, I have noticed a couple of colors. When I am with you, it glows white with a calming burn. When someone with evil intentions is around me, it glows dirty amber." Amelia looked at Cyrus to ensure he wasn’t taking things too badly.
When she saw a calm expression on his face, she bit her lips nervously before continuing.
"Today, when my blood smeared on my mark, it glowed red. And you saw the consequences. This isn’t the first time I’ve lost control. Sometimes it also lets me read the mind of the person standing before me, if his mind barrier is weak and unstable." Amelia stopped speaking.
She looked at Cyrus, waiting for his opinion on the matter.
The man didn’t say anything for some time, and then he suddenly hugged her.
"I am sorry, my love. I am so sorry for being an oblivious husband. You have been going through so much all alone because you thought you couldn’t trust me. It’s my fault that I couldn’t give you that kind of faith in myself." Cyrus held her close before placing his lips on the corner of her lips.
Professor Dan, who was looking for the King and Amelia, unsure if the man would be a little hard on the girl, stood at a distance with his eyes as wide as saucers as he took in the scene before him.
The king was kissing Amelia!!
What the hell? His brain seemed to stop working. He looked around, unsure whether to move forward or run back to the camp.
He gulped, wiping the invisible sweat from his forehead before he left.
He practically ran to the camp before downing a bottle of water.
"You look like you saw a ghost, professor," Alpha Tristan smirked at the man.
The professor nodded.
"It was worse than a ghost. I witnessed something I shouldn’t have," he said.
Alpha Tristan furrowed his brows but didn’t say anything else.
At the same time, Kyle, who was feeling jealous that he couldn’t be the one to coax and calm Amelia even when she was his mate, shook his head.
"These two know no boundaries or personal space. I am even surprised how they have managed to keep their secret hidden for so long, given how oblivious they are of their surroundings," Kyle said.
Stone, who was sitting beside his boss and reading a report about the rogues on his phone, rolled his eyes.
"And maybe a large part of it actually goes to the point that they are not afraid of anyone. What will happen if they get caught? People will know they are married. That’s all," Stone said.
Kyle hummed.
That was probably the reason why Cyrus was so reckless when it came to Amelia.
And then look at him, who even has to preplan how to talk to her, even when he is the real mate. Kyle couldn’t help but scoff at the situation.
It’s okay. Just a few days. Once he was sure of his plan, not only would Amelia, but also this kingdom, belong to him.
He knew where to cut, where it would hurt these royals the most. Kyle smirked at the idea.
