Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 186: The rogues sent by Dominic
On the eastern borders, Cyrus stood before the rogues, his fingers wrapped around the arrow that he pulled out from his back with incredible difficulty.
His eyes were bloodshot, his hands trembling from anger and power as Sylas growled inside him.
"Who sent you here?" Cyrus asked, his voice low, full of darkness.
He was talking to Kyle when Fabian rushed to him and informed him about someone sending a mysterious letter to their office.
Usually, he wasn’t the kind to rush to a place until he validated the source of the information. However, upon seeing its content, he couldn’t help but visit the forests himself.
The letter contained a message from unknown origins.
"If you want to know what exactly happened that night and if your mother was the culprit indeed, this is your last chance. The only survivor of the night is fleeing the area."
A photo was attached to that letter, and when Cyrus asked Gia to run a check in the information database, he found that the man was indeed part of the crew from that night.
And the fact that the man served Dominic screamed volumes that things might not exactly be like how they were portrayed to them.
And the most significant evidence was Kyle’s presence among them. After all, they were informed that Kyle died from drowning.
He didn’t want to hide the truth from Kyle, but he didn’t like the man to get into it without proof that the information was accurate.
With their grandfather already in the hospital and the queen’s trials at their peak, their kingdom was at greater risk with people targeting massive crowds.
The security was constantly checking everything and anything that passed through the gates of either of the palaces, and for that letter to appear in his office, despite the security being alert, was a red flag.
Thus, Cyrus didn’t waste his time on useless matters and rushed to the area.
However, who would’ve thought that he would be attacked as soon as he stepped out of the car?
Someone shot him with an arrow from behind. They probably didn’t dare to attack him from the front.
A smirk formed on his lips when he saw the rogues forming a circle around him.
A chuckle left his mouth.
Just because they wounded him by attacking him from behind, they really thought they could take him down, especially after his wolf was here.
He shook his head before he took off his overcoat and threw it on the ground.
His upper lip quivered as his canines started to elongate, and Sylas stood from his place.
"Where is the man who knows about my mother?" Cyrus asked.
Without waiting for their answers, he used his supernatural powers, and, with the speed that almost looked like the speed of light, he snapped the heads of three rogues, letting their dead bodies fall to the side.
The rogues looked at each other, stepping back subconsciously. They were paid to keep him busy, hurt him, or better yet, kill him. The man who hired them only said that twenty high-tier rogues should be enough to kill the man.
But there was no mention of who the man was.
They made a mistake. They should’ve known it would be someone powerful when they were promised $50 million for it.
They should’ve confirmed.
"I can do this all day. Snapping things, destroying people, or killing them is something that I find pleasure in. It’s up to you whether you want to live or die." Cyrus cracked his knuckles before shaking his hand and moving his head left to right to ease the tense muscles in his back.
His wolf healing was already doing wonders, and most of his wound was already healed and not bleeding anymore.
"We... we don’t know what you are talking about." One of the rogues gulped.
Cyrus, who was busy easing his muscles, looked up.
"Wrong answer," he mused.
"And what do we do with people who lie? We kill them." Cyrus said.
The rogue who spoke earlier widened his eyes and stepped back, ready to run. However, he could only take one step when Cyrus reached him and plunged his hand straight into his chest, clenching his fingers around the man’s heart.
The man writhed in pain. His face twisted with the ache in his heart that felt similar to a heart attack.
Cyrus looked at the fear in the rogue’s eyes that fed his wolf’s ego before he looked at the rogues surrounding him. Without giving him another chance to speak, Cyrus pulled his heart out, dropping the still-beating organ to the side.
"I had to go and meet my woman later. You guys made a mistake by making me dirty my clothes," Cyrus said.
He was about to ask who ordered them to come here once again when he heard a twitch behind him at some distance.
He moved at the last second, dodging the arrow that was shot at him for the second time.
He grabbed the arrow and looked behind him.
Just because they shot him once as he was distracted, they really thought his senses weren’t working or something. He shook his head before taking a deep breath.
You want to take over? Cyrus asked his wolf.
Who am I to deny some fun? Sylas answered and took over Cyrus, letting his body turn into a large midnight wolf.
The rogues gasped at the sight of the wolf, which looked thrice their size, his eyes golden and blazing with anger as saliva dripped from the side of his mouth, and he growled loudly, making the leaves on the trees move violently. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
"Fuck."
"Run." The rogues said simultaneously before they turned around and started running.
It was a mistake they shouldn’t have made. Sylas scoffed.
Didn’t they know wolves love chasing, and a wolf like him liked to prey and hunt for fun?
With a low snarl, he went behind the rogues, ready to hunt every single one of them until one of them was prepared to give him the answers he wanted to hear about that night.
