In a small village, at the outskirts of the Empire, Southern Area...
"Mom, why should I always change the color of my eyes and hair?"
The young Florence, aged 4 years old asked after drinking the potion that was given to him by his mother.
"Florence, for us to stay longer together, this is a must. You still want to be with mom right?" His mom gently caressed his face.
"Of course! I’ll be with you Mom, forever!"
"I know that. But Florence, we can’t really live forever together. There will be a time that we will be no longer together." His mom stood up.
"No! I want to be with mom!"
"Of course, of course." Florence’s mom chuckled a bit. "Go, your friends are waiting outside. Return before sunset alright?"
"Yes!" The young Florence happily exclaimed and ran outside.
The day had passed by... Florence waived his farewell as he separated from the other kids in the village.
When he returned home, he paused when horses and men in silver armour were outside his house.
One of the knights noticed his presence. Then he jumped down from his horse.
"Florence?"
Florence stepped back, frightened.
"The prince should have silver hair and golden eyes." One of the knights whispered. The knight who called out to him, had his gaze lingered on Florence.
Then he waved his right hand and a small wave of light erupted.
"Of course, he should have silver hair and golden eyes," the knight dispelled the effects of the magic potion Florence drank earlier.
Then he knelt down. "Greetings, to the third Imperial Prince, His Highness Prince Florence Plaridel!"
"Greetings!" All the knights behind, jumped down from their horses and knelt down as well. Florence felt overwhelmed.
He looked around, scared and wanted to run away. He turned around only to see that his mother was behind.
"Mom..." But then he paused when he saw his mother’s expression. She was frightened. She ran after Florence... Carried him in her arms. From her pockets, she threw something on the ground.
Boom!
It exploded, creating a thick gas clouds.
"Get the prince!" The knights screamed.
"Mom?" Florence was frightened as they made their run on the woods.
"They’ll never take you away from me," his mom said in a frantic voice as they flee from the knights. "Not this time yet."

Three months had passed already...
Florence opened his eyes, hearing the chirping sounds of the birds. He looked at his bedside to where the printed copy of the Primrose Lady was placed. He had been reading it time to time, and since then he had lost count of how many times he did so.
He took a seat then looked outside his window. His room was situated on the second floor of Freyah’s house. It has been three months, since he arrived on this strange world. Filled with strange things and people. The sun was just still rising through the skies.
But the skies, the sun and moon remained the only thing that was the same from his world.
"Was it because, I have reread the book again?" Florence looked at the book he had read. The dream he had right now, were something both happy and sad. Something that was not entirely written in the novel that Freyah mentioned he came from.
He walked outside, then as soon as he reached downstairs, Julie, Freyah’s younger sister was there already drinking coffee while sitting on the table.
"Good morning, Kuya Florence!" Julie greeted happily.
"Good morning," Florence greeted back.
"If you are looking for Ate Freyah, she left earlier. Probably in her favorite spot again."
Florence didn’t asked anything yet. How did she knew that he was going to ask about Freyah?
"The first thing you always look for every morning is Ate Freyah." Julie said as if reading his mind. "Please bring this coffee and sandwich to her. She didn’t even brought anything with her."
"Yes, thank you." Florence grabbed the thumbler, two cups and the sandwiches then proceeded to run outside. On the way out, he saw Harley, already doing some jogging in the morning followed by the twins and other teenagers behind.
Since the Awakening Class of Freyah, she made it a mandatory for the kids to maintain daily exercise everyday to increase their stamina. But the addition of this, was there were weights tied to their feet and arms every time they jog.
"Good morning, Kuya Florence." Harley greeted as soon as they passed each other.
"What’s so good about the morning?"
"I still want to sleep."
The twins whined. Florence greeted Harley back. "Keep it up!" He said then walked passed them. The villagers whom he encountered greeted him which he also greeted back.
Florence finally stopped in front of a small hill. The haunted house was no longer there. But instead it was replaced now by a two storey decent house which they called the Meeting House.
This was where all important meetings and planning were discussed since then with Freyah on the lead. He looked above, and saw Freyah sitting at her usual spot in the roof.
Florence ran up the hill, then ran to the second floor, up to the ladder that was leading to the roof.
"Good morning, Milady."
"Good morning," Freyah greeted back.
"Your sister, want you to have this." Florence sat beside her. Then he handed her a cup. And pour the hot coffee on it. Florence also poured himself some, then added some sugar on his.
There were just silence between them. Until Florence broke it first. "I didn’t expect that within just three months, you will be able to build this huge wall surrounding the village."
Freyah nodded. The wall has been completed after three months. Not only because of the modern equipment but also the awakened powers of most people in the village.
"What are you going to plan next?"
"Restore the satellite services and clear the Bohol of any zombies," Freyah stated.
"Satellite?"
"It’s the way where one can communicate from long distances." Freyah said. "Next, I will start looking for the truth and cure of the virus. Then on the way, we will meet the author of the Primrose Lady. You have been here for three months now, Your highness, I should honor my promise to you soon."
"Yes," Florence looked at the clear skies. "My home, huh."
"Why are you making a sullen expression now, your highness? I thought you wanted to see Kathleen as soon as possible?" Freyah chuckled.
"Yes. I still want to see her." Florence averted his gaze. "But sometimes I think, will that be really the best thing to do now after everything I have done so far?"
"You are now thinking about that..." Freyah chuckled. "Well, at the very least, you have time on your side as long as you keep surviving, you will be able to return to your world and decide what it is that you want to do." She drank the coffee in one gulp then grabbed the sandwich.
"I’ll do some patrol around the area, then after that, I’ll go with the rescuers to Scout the areas in Bohol. Once I make sure that Bohol is clear of any zombies, we can finally go to the next place." She said and jumped down from the roof. She landed on the ground with ease and took a bite on the sandwich as she walked away.
Florence remained there for the meantime looking at the retreating back of Freyah. A habit he already created since the past few months.
’She is always moving forward. While I’m stuck in my past.’ Florence looked at his hands then closed it. ’Given this time, Nicholas must have inherited the throne now and Kathleen as his fiance, they would be married soon and she will be crowned as the new Empress.’
’Just like this, they must have also been rebuilding every part of the empire that was affected by demons and monsters attack. If I return... Do I still have a place there?’
"Hey, your highness!"
Florence’s thoughts were interrupted. It was Freyah waving at him. "What are you doing? Let’s go!" She called out.
"I’ll also need your opinion if there are no problems with the walls. Let’s go, and check it too!"
Florence smiled. Then he also jumped down from the roof and landed with ease on the ground. "Of course, Milady," he said as he walked towards Freyah who was waiting for him. ’That was right, maybe... If I kept following Lady Lima I might know someday what I would really want.’
