Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 686: How Is That My Concern?
The day after the First Annihilation.
Draconic Heaven.
A few light-years away from the Imperial Crystal Palace.
There was a lone massive planet whose orbit was constantly surrounded by arkships of different designs.
This planet did not appear to have formed naturally. Rather, anyone could observe that the surface was composed of large metal plates and blocks, making the planet look like a gigantic spherical metal machine from afar.
This was a dungeon planet. The Dragon Empire of Destruction had these dungeon planets, which they used to keep captive enemies that they deemed too valuable to kill.
This particular dungeon planet was the biggest and was used to hold the most dangerous of enemies.
It was guarded by arkships and an army of wardens with each warden being at least tier 5 in terms of combat ability.
So far, no one had ever broken in or gotten out, and it wasn’t because the defense or protection of the place was top-notch.
It was just that the Chief Warden was good at assessing risks, he would never host a prisoner if he was not certain that the dungeon planet’s facilities would be able to hold them.
If there was ever a case where a Primordial had been caught and had to be held somewhere, the chief would simply reject it.
No one had ever broken out of this dungeon planet because all those entities who could have broken out were never allowed in the first place.
Not until today.
Today, under the discontent of the chief warden and the adamant pressure from Seth, a Primordial was placed here.
Down on the planet, underneath its cold steel surface.
Ibadon walked calmly through the corridor, his eyes focused on the path ahead. The ceiling was far from his head and the lighting was very dim.
As he walked, his boots constantly created deep thud sounds that echoed across the facility.
If not for the sound of his footsteps, the corridor would be totally silent.
Ibadon’s eyes were a dull red, as they usually were. His mind was filled with thoughts of his strategies.
Three million years, and he was slowly seeing it all unravel.
Sure, there were a few unexpected variables but it wasn’t like he never thought of them.
The appearance of the All-King, his failure to capture him, and the appearance of the Creation Dragons were all things that he had not expected to happen at the same time.
But it didn’t matter, not even the House of Luthor or the Ancient Feline Council would stop him from doing what he wanted to do.
Ibadon was no longer wearing his full body suit. The clothes he was wearing now were a bit more casual. It was also a combat-function suit, but it was a mix of blue and black.
He was also not wearing any gloves, exposing his fair hands to the world. The suit had a small opening at the collar area, showing a bit of his fair chest with a skin tone that matched his face.
Ibadon could have just warped his way to his destination but he decided to walk, using the time to think of other things. He wasn’t in a hurry to see the prisoner.
Finally, after making some twists and turns, going down hundreds of staircases, and passing a few doors, Ibadon finally arrived at his destination.
With a look of disinterest, Ibadon stared at the large double metal door that looked like it was constructed for the purpose of withstanding nuclear blasts.
He didn’t stop walking.
The double doors opened outward to welcome his presence.
There were three more doors, each one more powerful than the last. The walls that surrounded this place were even more incredible and it was a fact that most tier 7 creatures would not be able to escape from here easily.
Soon, Ibadon’s steps paused. He was standing in a cell.
There were two figures already inside.
One was Seth.
Seth was in his humanoid form, resting his back against the wall with one leg pressed on it from below. His hands were folded and he looked down, allowing his hair to cover a part of his pure white eyes.
Ibadon did not look at him, he was looking at the other figure.
It was a large tiger, nearly four meters tall.
This tiger had the characteristic orange fur with black stripes that most tiger species have. That was the only normal thing about it.
Everything else just made the tiger look like it had been pumped with anything known to the world so that it could be a perfect fighting machine.
Its limbs were thick and strong like heavenly pillars, its neck was muscular and its eyes were fierce.
The tail was long and flexible, currently held down by multiple chains. The sound of metal being scratched was a constant heat as the claws of the tiger were constantly ripping the metal out of the ground piece by piece.
The Primordial Tiger struggled, fighting against the chains that bound it to the ground.
From the looks of things, this place would definitely not be able to hold this Primordial Tiger down for long. The chains which were all imbued with magic power were also showing signs of cracking.
It was no wonder the chief warden did not want to keep him around. It was just the first day of keeping this Primordial Tiger here and the cell he was being held in was sure to be destroyed if things continued like this.
With his bright yellow eyes, the large tiger gazed with unfiltered killing intent at Ibadon. There was a small trace of fear. Ibadon noticed it, but it was overpowered by the rage that welled up in the heart of the tiger.
How could he not be angry? He had been knocked unconscious with a single blow from Seth and the next time he opened his eyes, he was here, chained up in who knows where.
Now, the Primordial Tiger was aware that Seth and Ibadon were both immortals, but it didn’t stop him from trying to escape.
"I know it’s your nature but I didn’t expect to literally keep on fighting to the very end," Ibadon said, staring straight into the eyes of this Primordial.
There was no warmth in Ibadon’s red eyes, just a lack of interest in what he was seeing. It was a gaze that was very different than what he had when he talked about the lions or any other thing.
The Primordial Ruger responded by opening his mouth and roaring. His roar caused the whole cell and beyond to vibrate terribly, it sounded like the engine of a monstrous machine.
Ibadon was unfazed.
"Why is he still alive?" Ibadon asked, this time directing his speech to Seth.
Seth sighed, raising his head up slightly so that he could look at Ibadon, "We can’t kill him.
The Tiger that is a Council Member of the Ancient Felines Council is very fierce and has been keeping an eye on him for a while.
After what Noel did to the tigers, those in heaven have been very skeptical and have been using different means to keep track of the survival of this Primordial Tiger."
Seth’s explanation was reasonable. In short, he wasn’t going to offend the Tiger Council Member if he could avoid it.
However...
"How is that my concern?" Ibadon asked, his red eyes suddenly turning blue.
Seth frowned.
"I already removed him from the picture. Chen is now leading the tigers as the active chief and we have secured the whole civilization as a member of our alliance.
Once we are done, we could just release this guy and everything will go back to normal..."
"Once we are done?" Ibadon interrupted Seth, "By done, I hope you mean the complete extermination of the lion race."
Seth thinned his lips, Ibadon was so hard to work with when he set his mind on something.
"I thought we talked about this.
Besides, this is the Primordial Tiger, not the lion. You don’t have any grievance with the tigers, right?
Let’s just keep him for now," Seth said with a warning tone.
Ibadon shook his head, "If for some reason, this Primordial Tiger manages to get out, the tiger civilization will be split into two.
A key part of our plan will be gone.
Or do you think it’s not possible? Don’t forget that we also thought it would be impossible for an immortal to appear among the lions.
Yet, they currently have one roaming around at the moment.
You don’t understand do you? To deal with the lions, you must not give them even the slightest chance to get back up.
And this means wiping out every stepping stone or potential ally that could ever come their way..."
Ibadon’s words were filled with ruthless determination. His peaceful death was so close to his fingertips that he refused to let anything go wrong again.
"I’m sure the tigers can survive another era without a Primordial," And with that, Ibadon moved fast. Seth saw it coming but could not react in time.
Ibadon’s arm slashed out and a black arc flashed out, cutting through the planet.
A thin red line stretched from the forehead of the Primordial Tiger to the top of his tail.
He died before he knew what killed him.
Ibadon narrowed his eyes which changed from blue to red, there was no joy or a sick sense of satisfaction.
Only the overwhelming desire to do what was necessary.
