Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 692: Retaliation Successful
Empress Elizabeth had not exactly been living a life of being pampered daily even as she was the Primordial Dragon.
She had been raised by Ibadon and other powerful dragons after all. They wouldn’t be lenient on her.
However, even then, due to her status, there was a limit to how accessible she was.
Never in her life had she witnessed the scene of random creatures approaching her and touching her body. Maybe Ibadon or a few emergency cases or training scenarios, but otherwise, it was for most creatures to get close to her.
Imagine her physical shock when dozens of powerful lion claws dug into her scales, piercing into her flesh and drawing blood in excess.
Amidst the burning inferno of the collapsing star, dozens of lions clamped their claws and jaws on different parts of Elizabeth’s body.
Now, as the Primordial Dragon of Destruction, Elizabeth was quite large in her true form. Even larger than most dragons.
If she were the type to throw her weight and size around when fighting, this would help. But for the lions, this just meant that there was more surface area for them to grab on.
And as expected, these kings showed absolutely no mercy.
They ripped and tore with abandon, laughing loudly and roaring at the top of their lungs.
The feeling of finally dipping their paws into the blood of one of their most hated enemies was so wonderful.
They didn’t hate Ibadon the way they hated Elizabeth.
Ibadon wasn’t the one helping the dragons use reversed Conquering Essence after all.
The only person they hated more than Elizabeth at this point was President Musty.
Elizabeth roared in pain, turning and spinning as she fell toward the star.
The gravity of the collapsing star started to do its work, pulling them closer faster and faster.
It was terrifying, everything was happening so fast. Elizabeth was truly panicking, she had to do the only thing she could think of doing at this point.
Covered on all sides by massive lions biting and clawing into her body, Elizabeth opened her mouth.lhgggg
With a righteous agony, eyes burning with the purple flames of destruction, and an imperial stance, Elizabeth released her Dragon Breath.
The true power of the Primordial Dragon was not something to joke with either. In her panic, Elizabeth forgot to add the reversed Conquering Essence to this blast of dragon breath.
But she didn’t need to do so for the might of the dragon’s breath to be incredible.
From afar, Memphis, who was speeding over, saw a large part of the star’s violent surface get ripped apart by a wave of purple rings followed by a beam that shot through multiple flares.
This had happened inside a star, an environment where nuclear fusion and fission were constantly occurring. It was like being surrounded by thousands of nuclear bombs exploding all at once every second.
The result of Elizabeth adding her dragon breath to the mix was devastating. Ten lion kings in front of her were directly vaporized, their defensive fields standing no chance against the attack.
The purple shockwave pushed away the lions who had pounced on her. But the lions did not let go without tearing out a piece of her flesh in the process.
So what if she did this? It only bought her a split second of freedom before more kings pounced on her again.
Just then, something happened.
That singular arkship that had been soloing the generation of the super distortion field vibrated.
All of a sudden, all the distortion field engines went off. This was a surprising turn of events for the various dragon officials who were trying over and over again to open a portal to this place.
This was also something that was expected to happen.
The lions logically couldn’t hope to do any proper violence against Elizabeth with Ibadon soon to barge in on them. They wouldn’t have any time.
So as the arkship ended the generation of its distortion field, the lion kings who had surrounded Empress Elizabeth began to open their heavenly gates.
They worked together to create a massive heavenly portal that sucked all of them in.
Memphis dived into the star, slowing down time around her as she could feel that the star was about to reach its critical point.
Swimming past the radiation, Memphis followed the kings and entered the heavenly gate shortly after.
Emperor Zain who was left there also sensed this but he didn’t feel left behind. After all, Kael had briefed all of them that they must all find their own way of leaving this place as soon as Elizabeth was captured.
Emperor Zain naturally had his own escape method prepared. It wasn’t his heavenly beacon that had been used to come here so he technically still had the chance to open a heavenly gate directly to Draconic Heaven.
He was already at the limits of his power. The vast array of silver defensive constructs that he had created was being erased from existence very fast.
Without wasting too much time, a large heavenly gate opened under Emperor Zain’s serpentine body and the silver dragon fell in.
As soon as Emperor Zain’s heavenly gate closed, all the defensive constructs were consumed by a spreading blanket of nothingness.
Silence.
Soon, there was nothing but silence.
Just like that, it was all over.
Even the various dragon arkships that were supposed to maintain their distortion field had been devoured by Ibadon’s power.
No distinction between friend and foe.
Almost everything in this galaxy was gone, save for a few exoplanets and little celestial bodies that had been at the edges.
Besides that, the galaxy itself no longer existed, having been deleted from existence by the abomination.
The collapsing star was still there though.
A section of the void converged to one point, soon transforming into the figure of a large dragon-lion hybrid.
It was Ibadon. And unlike the usual, his eyes were a pair of total darkness. He looked around expressionlessly, briefly keeping his dark gaze on the collapsing star before he continued looking around.
A few seconds later, multiple beams of light that were arkships in warp speed state were speeding through space.
Also, thousands upon thousands of heavenly gates had opened up.
Under the lights of all these activities, Ibadon wore a really cold expression.
He had stopped just in time to perceive everything that had happened before he erased it.
Emperor Zain, Ibadon would remember him.
Ibadon’s eyes, albeit unwillingly, shifted to the red colour that signified the arrival of his casual thinking.
He knew that this was just the work of the All-King.
He had expected a fierce retaliation from the lions, which was the logical thing to do in war. He didn’t think that the lions would just sit by and wait while all those sacrifices were being made.
But Ibadon did not expect that this was how they were going to retaliate.
He had simulated countless ways they could do something. He had thought of all the variables too.
But most simulations and planning have to be based on existing data. Even the made-up data is still derived from actual data.
Ibadon did not expect this type of retaliation because he did not know that there was a variable that allowed this to happen.
When was the last time he did a thorough check of Elizabeth’s body to make sure there were no impurities? The last time he did that she was in her fifties.
No one knew that there was a foreign Conquering Essence inside Elizabeth’s body all this time.
There was no use crying over spilled milk. The dragons and Ibadon had to admit that the lions had not only won this round, but they had significantly impacted their morale.
"Regent! They must have taken her to Leonine Heaven, we must pursue!" Imperial Guard Voldemort said as he rushed over.
He was seriously panicking.
He could already feel it, his connection to the Dragon Empress was fading away, and with it, his ability to perform the Dragon Breath.
What horrors could she be facing amongst those tyrants?
Voldemort, the large green drain, felt that the more they waited, the more Elizabeth would suffer.
Unfortunately for him, Ibadon did not answer.
Ibadon just floated there, his wings tucked back, he was silent.
Ibadon was thinking. He had to be very careful with the next few decisions he was going to make and he had to ask himself what he prioritised most.
His decision could determine whether Elizabeth lived or suffered a slow painful death.
After thinking, Ibadon spoke.
"They’ve planned so much, that’s what they want.
Soon, the other factions will know that our Empress is gone. The advantage that the Dragon Breath gave us will be gone and many will see it as an opportunity.
Turn all forces to the Emperor Zain’s forces immediately, he was a co-conspirator for this operation.
And make sure that President Musty is properly secured. He is no longer an ally, his status is now that of a prisoner of war.
I’m sure some of you still have some reversed Conquering Essence in your possession.
If the horse federation protests, use it against them."
