Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 693: Still A Primordial?
Action speaks louder than words.
That was true.
The bold efforts of the kings to strike back were successful and it was a statement to all who knew.
Except, the kings weren’t trying to make a statement in the first place, they just wanted to kill someone they didn’t like, period.
*BOOM!*
Elizabeth crashed into the side of the continent, her torn wings and broken limbs unable to help her stop her descent.
The edge of the continent was chipped off by her large body and the whole floating land mass tilted a bit.
Right behind her, multiple figures clad in the golden aura of the All-King chased after her.
This was the Leonine Heaven now. They could do what they wanted.
And they did.
Elizabeth had merely been within Leonine Heaven for less than thirty seconds.
What manner of violence had she not experienced within that short time?
Wasn’t she the high and mighty empress of the destruction dragons?
Wasn’t she the Primordial Dragon?
Wasn’t she the one who aided President Musty to use the reversed Conquering Essence on the lions?
Where was her might and aloofness now?
"GONE!" The War Lion King roared wrathfully as he smacked the side of Elizabeth’s head.
A few sharp fangs burst out of her mouth as her neck nearly snapped in two and her body flew for thousands of kilometres.
Standing on a smaller golden Island, the All-King observed expressionlessly.
Kael had his two hands behind his back and his stance was tall and regal. His humanoid form oozed the satisfaction of a supreme lord watching his enemies fall before his feet.
A job well done, Kael congratulated himself in his mind.
Watching Elizabeth suffer at the hands of the kings brought a sick and twisted form of joy. Just like he had done with Ma’abu, Kael would not be satisfied if he merely killed her.
And yes, he very much intended to kill her.
The idea that Elizabeth could be coaxed to work for him in the future was something he was never going to consider again, not after everything that had happened.
So why had he not yet killed her?
"We could use her to get President Musty, kill two birds with one stone," Alora said.
On this island, Kael was not standing alone.
He was with his family. All his consorts had come back to heaven after the First Annihilation to prevent unnecessary risks.
Today was not just the day he wanted to deal with Elizabeth, it was the day he was going to make another decision that could affect the whole lion race in the future.
The only person who was supposed to be here that wasn’t here was N’bayé, which was understandable. Kael received a report from her that something strange was happening with the monkeys and she had to make sure she was present to observe what was happening.
With all of them packed on this little floating island, this land mass might be the most protected place in the whole heaven. Especially since Memphis was literally standing still amongst them.
"Forgive me aunty," Ozia who was among the little family crowd on the island spoke up, "But I don’t see how we would gain anything if we exchange Elizabeth for President Musty.
We will just be trading enemy for enemy. The dragons would once again have their source of power and it would be a pipe dream to imagine that Elizabeth would simply forgive us later on."
Alora looked at Ozia, but didn’t say anything. She observed the black metallic arm on the side with a glance before moving her gaze.
She wasn’t looking down on Ozia, she was just wondering when the first son of Kael became so dumb.
Or was it that Ozia did not know the kind of person Alora was?
*BOOM!*
Another loud boom as one of Elizabeth’s wings was torn off. Bones sticking out and her eyes showed that she was drifting in and out of consciousness.
Kael listened to what they were saying. He was ruthless, very ruthless. He was also very unforgiving and would not let go of Elizabeth.
But he also wanted President Musty.
As long as that stupid horse was still around, there would always be a risk to the lion race.
Fortunately, the Annihilation efforts had ended and would probably not be happening again with Elizabeth missing.
Her connection to the dragons was cut off with Kael’s influence and mysterious ways.
"Emperor Zain will contact the dragon officials and speak to them of a ransom. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
President Musty for Elizabeth.
Let them send Musty over to us first. As for whether we will actually give Elizabeth back..."
Kael did not complete his sentence but the implication was clear.
Soon, the beating was over and Elizabeth collapsed on a random continent in the distance. One of her wings was missing and she was dripping glowing red blood on the ground.
Multiple fangs had been broken and her claws were quivering.
She was still conscious, but barely.
One of her eyes, the only one that was still working well, still had fear evident in it.
She could make out the figure of the lion kings flying around her, shouting incredibly racist insults that battered her fracturing mind.
Through all this, Elizabeth made out the figure of a certain blonde-haired humanoid standing on a smaller floating island along with other tall figures.
The All-King.
This was the first time she could actually see him physically.
All the other times she had seen him were through an info orb or through her connections to her suicide spies from the time of the Great Purification.
Despite the distance, their eyes jammed. Kael’s golden gaze clashed with Elizabeth’s weak purple eye.
"Come on..." Kael whispered with a taunting smile on his face.
He wanted her to fight on, to show her grit and prove that she was not just some weak pushover.
There was no chance of her winning this thing. She might have succeeded with the few casualties because she was lucky.
But there were at least nine hundred and fifty lion kings with tier 7 power levels here.
Kael wanted her to fight for his own personal satisfaction.
His provocative grin as well as his mocking gaze did it.
Elizabeth, having her limbs weak and barely able to stand up, opened her mouth to let out one last dragon breath of defiance.
What came out was laughable.
A small wisp of reversed Conquering Essence and Destruction Essence, forming a weak beam of light that rushed toward Kael.
No matter how weak this beam was, it still contained a reversed Conquering Essence which was absolutely lethal to the lions.
The beam moved fast.
Kael, however, just leaned forward slightly and stretched out his hand.
Memphis had wanted to move the whole island out of the way when she saw this but was cautioned not to do so.
The beam hit Kael’s hand, causing a small explosion that created a shockwave. The others of his family fluttered and threshed in the resulting wind.
The scene that Elizabeth had been expecting did not occur.
The beam of light hit Kael’s hand. Yes, it hurts. Yes, it caused some injuries.
But that was merely the effect of the Destruction Essence, not the reversed Conquering Essence.
The effect of the beam of light died down and peace returned. Kael looked at his palm, observing with curiosity.
The burns and gashes on his palm were healing rapidly. All this while, as Kael stood there, he had not leaked any special aura at all.
Others could perceive his presence and the aura of the Primordial Lion but they couldn’t actually tell how strong he was or the nature of his powers.
However, with the injury on Kael’s palm which was already healed, a bit of his aura leaked out.
The hearts of all those close to him shook.
Ozia stared at the lonely back of his father with his mouth agape and his eyes filled with shock.
He had been wondering, for five years now, it was extremely hard to read his father’s aura.
Was this the reason why?
Ozia and the rest could not even begin to describe what they had felt in that moment. Only Memphis had a sure glimpse of what Kael was hiding within his body and even she wasn’t sure either.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth stared at Kael’s calm figure. The last thought on her mind was her wondering how Kael could withstand that power from her dragon breath.
Alas, the All-King had been busy in the last five years.
How many Primordials had been found by now?
What were his true thoughts?
What was his true strength?
Finally, Kael put down his hands. With the last seam of his flesh closed, all his chaotic aura was locked in, making him seem ordinary once again.
Kael looked at Elizabeth, seeing something else entirely. It had been close to five years since Kael’s last evolution.
Now that he looked at Elizabeth and confirmed that he could not be hurt by reversed Conquering Essence, one question was on his mind.
Was he still a Primordial?
