Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 711: The Singularity
A pulse.
One pulse.
It spread through the Void.
It spread through the gaps.
It spread from the Heavenverse.
It crossed the Mortalverse.
And it reached the Outerverse.
Invisible, ethereal, incomprehensible.
An announcement.
A declaration.
That was what it meant.
That was what it entailed.
A new Singularity was being born.
A Singularity.
A being, a paragon of his own race, and an entity that would never have an equal as long as the universe remained.
For all there was, all there is, and all that there will be.
Nothing will compare to the status of a Singularity.
"Hmmmmm, another one?" A light and sensual voice strung across the fabric of reality, communicating with a select few.
The owner of the voice sounded bored and robotic at the same time. It was unclear if the voice came from a male or a female.
"Oh, I remember this soul," Another voice came forth, powerful and equally undetectable by the likes of mortals.
"You do?"
"Yes," The second voice said, this voice also ethereal and it was incredibly hard to perceive the kind of being that was talking.
"A few years ago, I reincarnated this soul with his memories from his past life intact..."
"You did that? Why?" The owner of the first voice sounded really surprised.
"The Highest Will wanted it. It does that every once in a while, wanting me to leave their memories intact."
"I thought the souls had to be very special for you to even consider that," The first Voice said.
"Meh, that’s just my own condition, not an actual rule.
The scarcity of a complete reincarnation cranks up the prices, you know..."
"Oh.
Who would have thought one of them would evolve to become like this, should we interfere?
Eternity has been very boring since Noel died,"
"There’s no need to interfere, things are about to get very interesting.
Besides, this soul is also that of a lion,"
"Lions? Again? Those creatures are very troublesome. We may have to remove them during the next clean-up, lest they cause trouble."
Hearing this, the first voice paused, the owner seemed to be thinking of something.
"The Highest Will only talked about a possible reset, it hasn’t said anything about whether it will happen, and if it will happen," The second voice owner said.
As they talked, two very specific laws began to shift and become excessively active in different parts of the universe.
Trillions of creatures were being born and dying every second that they continued this conversation. It was a cycle that was incomplete.
"Hehe, I’ve been around before the monkeys. Trust me, if the Highest Will says there is a possible reset, it’s because it has identified a growing threat to the rules.
Just prepare yourself.
And concerning the vessel for the Oblivion Heart..."
They continued talking.
The mortals and immortals of the world failed to comprehend that eons of many events that were considered coincidences were being discussed like a past season between these two beings.
What were they?
Immortals?
Few knew.
////
Draconic Heaven.
"Regent, all of them are getting sick!" The new Imperial Guard Boss shouted as he rushed toward one winged brown horse that had just collapsed on the ground.
This horse was the acting representative for the Horse Federation and he had been here with his envoys to have a very important meeting with Ibadon.
Since President Musty had been kidnapped, Ibadon and the dragon guards had fiercely controlled the flow of information.
Besides those who were present at the moment that it happened, no one else was aware that President Musty was missing and his wives were dead.
This Horse Federation representative had come here with many escorts and powerful governors with the belief that they were going to have a very important meeting that would determine the trajectory of the horse race.
The actual reason they were here was more nefarious.
The horse visitors had not even entered the Throne Hall. They had just come out of their arkship and were making their way to the entrance of the throne hall when the head representative suddenly collapsed and started convulsing on the ground.
The new Imperial Guard Boss stood over the brown winged horse with a worried look.
In his humanoid form, he crouched to touch the side of the horse. He could still feel the heartbeat, but it was becoming faint.
A mild jolt of blue electricity escaped from the fingers of the Imperial Guard Boss and entered the horse’s body. The current of electricity scanned the whole body before returning back to its sender and carrying with it information on what was happening.
Nothing.
That was what the Imperial Guard Boss saw.
Nothing.
He did a complete scan of this defenseless and vulnerable horse representative but still did not see anything happening.
There was no sickness or underlying trauma from a past injury, nor was there a problem with the way the brain was operating.
He was just getting weaker and weaker.
It was almost as if the source of his life and Vitality was being choked out.
The Imperial Guard Boss turned his head to look at the entrance of the throne hall.
There, Ibadon levitated a few inches above the ground with his eyes giving off a chilling blue light.
His mind governed by brutal logic, Ibadon scanned all that was happening in front of the throne hall.
He sighed.
It had happened.
All the horses that came were now lying on the ground, either unconscious or about to be.
They were gradually losing strength and life.
The very law that they were all affiliated with, the law that defined their existence, was rejecting them.
And no creature could survive functionally without being affiliated with at least one law.
There was no difference between the horses and the phoenix now.
The two races had different origins but they now stood on the same playing field.
In time, if nothing was done, the horses, those that survived the first day of Law Rejection, would start to develop defects and pointless flaws.
To Ibadon however, this was confirmation of his guess as the reason why he asked for the horses to come was clear.
Their current predicament meant that it had happened.
The Primordial Horse was dead.
The All-King had won.
