Reincarnated With An SSS-Rank Talent In An Apocalyptic World-Chapter 107: New Territory: Solinthar Empire
Chapter 107: New Territory: Solinthar Empire
The journey through the city was memorable. The streets were packed with soldiers, mages, and civilians alike. Everyone wanted to catch a glimpse of the rumored Messiah, and based on their reactions, I’m certain they weren’t disappointed.
Hovering beside the Empress, the people paid less attention to her and focused entirely on me.
Mind you, the information had only reached them two hours ago, yet it seemed like everyone dropped whatever they were doing just to see me.
I could see eyes peeking through windows, even soldiers on the towering walls gazing down with curiosity. Their energy was electrifying—and highly contagious.
Never in my life have I been loved by so many people. I have to confess, the feeling was strangely energizing.
So strange, in fact, that I could feel something—but I couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it was.
The journey to the palace was long. Even the capital, which once belonged solely to the royal family, was vast—probably the size of a small American state.
Upon arrival, I was stunned to see a fortified castle so massive, surrounded by a sizable body of water and a drawbridge. Upon entering, I noticed all the royal guards had come out to catch a glimpse of me, and all the servants were gathered at every window in the massive structure.
However, before entering the castle, I froze in my tracks as I felt a cold gaze fixated on me.
My eyes scanned from window to window... and then I found the source.
At the uppermost part of the castle, a figure hidden behind the curtains watched me closely.
I would be overreacting to claim its gaze was malicious—but it would be appropriate to say it was inquisitive... and not in a good way.
Regardless, we entered the castle and headed straight for the throne room. There, members of the royal court naturally found their seats by the sides. Empress Althea walked toward the throne—but I hovered past her and blocked her path, drawing many dissatisfied gazes.
Even Caelum frowned at my actions.
"I apologize for my rude interruption, my lady, but I have an absurd request which I hope you will grant," I said in a mellow and humble tone that calmed the situation slightly.
The Empress was still confused, but my words eased her nerves, while Caelum’s frown remained.
"Go on..." Empress Althea said without hesitation.
"Lend me your throne—but only for a moment."
Buzz!
People rose to their feet in fury. The hospitality and love they had shown me evaporated almost instantly.
"Bastard!"
"Who the hell do you think you are?!"
"Absurd!"
Curses flew in all directions, but I remained calm, since the Empress herself was still calm—gazing directly into my eyes, thoughtful.
She slowly raised her hand, and the entire room fell silent.
"Will the Great One be kind enough to enlighten this old woman as to why you seek her throne?"
The thing about this old woman was—she was straightforward, and quite perceptive.
I quickly concluded the best way to get her to move was through honesty. If she sensed deceit from me, things could turn hostile and chaotic at any moment.
Huff!
I exhaled loudly while glancing at the hostile stares surrounding me, then finally spoke.
"I am a human who captures realms, which in turn grows my strength. To do this, I need to sit on the seat of power. Only then can I benefit from your empire—and in turn, protect it." I explained as simply as possible, without revealing too much.
Buzz!
Glances of surprise were exchanged. Looks of disbelief spread among the nobles, and even Caelum seemed skeptical.
Empress Althea and I remained silent, eyes locked, for over a minute before she finally responded.
"You need my throne—but only briefly. Correct?" she asked again, as if to confirm my words.
"Yes, my lady," I said with a nod.
"Carry on, then. I’m curious to see what powers the One truly holds."
Buzz!
A second wave of shock spread through the courtroom. Eyes flew to the Empress, but she stood firm—her pensive gaze never leaving my figure.
To her words, I simply nodded and quickly hovered to the throne without hesitation. My wings retreated into my back, and I landed softly in front of the throne.
Turning toward the crowd, I sat down.
Ding!
[Establishing connection between host and territory...]
The moment I settled, it felt like iron clamps locked me in place.
Red mist seeped from the chair, spiraling around me, slowly blocking my vision of the crowd staring in stunned silence.
The feeling was familiar—since I had gone through it once before—but it didn’t make it any less painful.
Then the pain hit.
BAM!
"Gah!" A scream tore from my throat.
It felt as if a spike had driven clean through my back.
I couldn’t breathe.
Chains rattled across the room—faint, dragging noises echoed from the throne—but I didn’t resist.
It lasted two full minutes.
I gritted my teeth and endured in silence.
After what seemed like forever, the message came.
[Connection established.]

Buzz!
All the torches in the room suddenly lit up in crimson flame as I was forcefully ejected from the throne.
Gasps erupted from the court, but I was too busy rolling down the steps before crashing to the ground with a loud thud.
"Aah..."
Another groan escaped my lips—but this time, a small laugh followed it.
[Welcome, Lord Adam.]

Everyone watched, but none dared approach.
They could feel the change around me.
And more than ever—I could feel their fear of me.
Not just feel it.
I could smell it.
Slowly, I rose to my feet.
Bone-cracking sounds echoed as I flexed my stiff shoulders, then returned my gaze to the Empress—who hadn’t moved an inch.
Then I lowered my head slightly in gratitude.
"Thank you, for your trust," I said with a smile.
"For this small act, I will not only protect the empire—I will protect the crown from those who covet it. Your royal family is forever under my protection."
Still, she said nothing. Her gaze was fixated on my burning crimson eyes for several seconds before a small smile broke through her seasoned face.
"Thank you," she said simply, and approached.
I calmly stepped aside and watched her walk up the stairs to the throne with Caelum’s help.
Once she sat down, he moved to her left and stood there like a bodyguard.
BAM!
Suddenly, everyone in the room fell to their knees.
Everyone—except me.
God does not kneel before man.
And the Empress didn’t mind.
"Today, we celebrate the appearance of the One—destined to pull us out of the darkness that has plagued our empire!" Empress Althea declared in a surprisingly loud voice for her weakened body.
"Today, we celebrate..."
She paused and looked at me—gesturing for me to announce myself.
"ADAM... ADAM BLACK!"
