The girl sat on the edge of the bed while nursing her son who was slowly falling asleep. "I think it’s okay to invite him since he’s my friend," she continued, making Damian immediately turn to her.

"Are you trying to pick a problem with me?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.

Valerie smiled thinly. "Why? I’m just asking... Besides, what’s wrong with it? He’s my friend... And he never flirted with you like Samuel did?" She shrugged.

Damian sighed. "I just don’t want to be angry or annoyed on our wedding day. So I won’t invite someone I dislike," he said. "But Tristan is nice, you won’t be upset just because he’s there," Valerie replied patiently, immediately stopping nursing Daniel after making sure he was asleep. The girl got up from the bed and approached her future husband’s watch, then embraced him from behind, kissing his cheek gently.

"Why hold onto hatred? Isn’t everything over... You’re going to marry me... That’s what matters most," she continued calmly.

Damian fell silent, frowning, still considering Valerie’s request.

"Come on... I’m just yours, and people know that... They won’t cause trouble with you by trying to get close to me. They know you’ll beat them up, just like Tristan. He wouldn’t want to be beaten up again because of me, especially since he doesn’t seem to love me." Valerie coaxed again.

"What do I get if I allow it?" Damian asked, glancing at Valerie and suddenly smiling as if thinking of something.

Damian sighed, immediately turning his chair to face Valerie and pulling her to sit on his lap.

Damian sighed, looking at Valerie with narrowed lips.

"You should never menstruate... I hate it!" he said angrily, immediately pushing Valerie to get off his lap. "Now stay away from me, I don’t want to be passionate... It could be dangerous!" he continued curtly, turning his chair back to face the laptop.

Valerie sighed, moving away from the chair until her attention was drawn to the sound of the doorbell. She immediately left the room, then opened the door and saw that it was Darius, Karina, and also Adam.

For some reason, their presence made her nervous, worried if it was about Damian going to marry her.

’Are they still not allowing Damian to marry me?’ she wondered to herself.

"Where’s my son?" Darius asked with a flat gaze.

"Um..." Valerie swallowed her saliva, slowly stepping back. "He’s doing something in the room... I’ll call him," she said nervously, quickly walking towards the room in a hurry.

Damian immediately walked out of the room while Valerie stayed there because she didn’t want to see Damian and them arguing, maybe it would only ruin her plans and thoughts.

She chose to lie down on the bed and hug her sleeping son.

"What’s the matter you guys came here?" Damian asked with a flat gaze.

Adam immediately approached Damian and threw a white envelope towards him, while the others waited on the porch.

"What do you mean?" Damian immediately took the envelope and opened it, then took a piece of paper from it.

"Read and realize that it’s your big mistake to my daughter!" Adam exclaimed firmly.

Damian read the writing on the white paper, explaining Karina’s medical history until his attention was drawn to the two words "Positive pregnant," which instantly made him wonder who impregnated Karina.

"Karina’s pregnant," he said then glanced at Karina standing on the terrace with Darius. "How could this happen? She’s still in the process of change and her condition is not stable at all... She shouldn’t be pregnant?"

"you know she shouldn’t be pregnant but why did you impregnate her?" Adam asked loudly.

Damian immediately frowned. "You say I impregnated her? Do you think I’m crazy? Damian smirked cynically. "Do you think I’ll be afraid of your threats? My company can stand on its own without collaborating with you, you old bastard!"

"Damian!" Darius narrowed his eyes. "Watch your mouth!"

"That’s enough!" Karina shouted, immediately making them stop arguing. "I just informed you all, but that doesn’t mean I’m forcing Damian to be with me. If he doesn’t want to, then that’s not a problem."

"But, dear..." Adam looked at Karina with a sad look.

"I’m okay, I’ll be fine," Karina said again, quickly walking towards the short stairs between the terrace and the yard, but suddenly she stumbled and fell to the ground.

Darius immediately ran to Karina followed by Adam, while Damian remained in the living room until his attention was drawn to Valerie, who was crying in front of her bedroom door.

He immediately shook his head and approached her.

Valerie immediately shook her head. "I can’t trust you anymore... You never really can be honest, you didn’t tell me that you were living with her!"

"It’s because I didn’t want you to be angry!" Damian insisted.

"I don’t know, I’m sick of it, now go!" Valerie pushed Damian, causing him to walk across the living room and fall on the terrace where Adam and Darius were still trying to wake up Karina.
