Return With the Billionaire Baby Daddy-Chapter 114: Tristan telling the truth
Damian knocked on the door of the room repeatedly, but Valerie still wouldn’t open it while Daniel was with her in the room.
"Darling, please believe me... Karina is framing me... I’m sure she’s colluding with my father because they don’t approve of us getting married!" Damian exclaimed in frustration, running his hands through his hair. "Please, think about it... She’s arranged all of this... She’s..."
"Then who do you think impregnated her? Do you think she faked her pregnancy?" Valerie asked sternly from her room. "I really can’t trust you anymore... You didn’t even tell me that you were living with her!"
"I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want you to get angry and leave me..." Damian retorted.
"Nonsense!" Valerie exclaimed followed by the sound of a thud against the door, as if she had kicked it. "Leave from here... don’t ever come back if you can’t prove all of these accusations!"
Damian sighed heavily, clenching his fists, so emotional but unable to meet Valerie now.
"Damian."
He turned to Hannah standing nearby.
"You should find evidence that you’re innocent," Hannah said awkwardly. "Talking to her without evidence will only make her angrier, and it’s bad for Daniel too," she continued.
Damian remained silent, gritting his teeth, imagining Valerie crying, and perhaps Daniel would cry too from the shock of her outburst.
The man sighed, trying to calm his frustration, and looked back at Hannah.
"Do you believe me?" He asked.
Hannah nodded. "I believe... You couldn’t have done that to Karina. I’m sure she and your father planned this to prevent your marriage to Valerie because your father strongly opposes your relationship."
"Yeah..." Damian nodded, his gaze shifting elsewhere. "I’m sure this is all a trap... And maybe I’ll turn to embarrass them!"
"What’s your plan?"
"I don’t know..." Damian grabbed his phone and car keys from the living room table, then turned back to face Hannah. "I have to go now... Please calm her down... I trust her with you... I’ll also ask Hans to come here..."
Hannah just nodded, then Damian quickly left the house, but when he arrived in the yard, he saw Tristan arriving on his motorcycle. He abandoned the idea of getting into the car, staring at the man with such coldness as if worried his fiancée would be even more unwilling to marry him after meeting him.
"What business do you have coming here?" he asked with a cold stare.
Tristan remained silent, lazily looking at Damian, then dismounted from the motorcycle and approached him.
"She’s just your fiancée but she still has her own life and the right to socialize, whether with male or female friends," he said casually.
"I understand that, but for you, everything needs an exception!" Damian retorted sharply.
"Too bad I don’t care about those exceptions." Tristan ignored Damian and walked towards the terrace but suddenly his hand was pulled and he was pushed almost to the ground.
Damian was breathless with his escalating emotions.
"Why do you always pick fights?" Tristan asked sharply. "I just want to meet Valerie because I’m leaving for Mexico!" he continued firmly.
"No, I’m sure that’s just an excuse!"
"I don’t care what you say, I’ll see her!" Tristan walked back to the terrace.
Damian, already frustrated from the previous situation, became even more emotional and chased after Tristan, then grabbed his shirt and pushed him to the ground.
"Damian!" Valerie shouted as she emerged from the living room.
Damian looked at her immediately, seeing her tear-stained face. But suddenly, when he was close to her, the girl slapped him.
"Why are you so stubborn and selfish?" Valerie asked loudly. "You want to have me but you can’t even be worthy of me! How can I marry a man like you? Temperamental, unfaithful, dishonest... You’ll even have a child with another girl!" she continued angrily, then pushed Damian away.
Damian shook his head with a resigned look.
"That’s not my baby... I didn’t do anything to her!" he pleaded with his sad eyes.
"I don’t believe you, and now you’re making me sick with your attitude!" Valerie replied angrily. "Go and don’t come back! There’s no forgiveness or chance for you!" she continued firmly, immediately returning to the terrace as if she didn’t want to see Damian again.
Tristan remained silent with curiosity, slowly stood up, and watched Valerie enter the house, while Damian seemed powerless to calm her down.
’She said Damian will have a child with another girl, who is that girl? Has he already impregnated that girl?’ he wondered in his heart, glancing back at Damian who slowly looked at him again.
"You can laugh at me now, approach her, making her hate me even more!" Damian said bluntly, then walked towards his car.
Tristan felt something was wrong and immediately followed Damian until he reached the car and grabbed his shoulder.
"Hey..."
"What?" Damian asked irritably, moving Tristan’s hand away from his shoulder.
"What did she mean by saying you’ll have a child with another girl?" Tristan asked back, furrowing his brows. "I know you love Valerie... You even opposed your father just to be with her... So, I’m sure you don’t have a child with another girl!" He praised Damian, perhaps to avoid getting beaten.
Damian sighed and leaned his back on his car’s body.
"Karina came, claiming to be pregnant," he said lazily, looking at the front door of the house. "She’s my father’s choice of girl and we lived together for about two months because she was sick... I didn’t tell Valerie the truth about this... And it seems she overheard when Karina said that I forced her to have sex with me when I was drunk," he continued anxiously.
Tristan immediately withdrew his head, frowning.
"Seriously?"
Damian shook his head. "I don’t know... I never felt like I was drunk during my time with her. Everything she says... And I’m sure she’s doing this with my father’s support too because my father doesn’t want me to marry Valerie... But how... How could she get pregnant? Or maybe the data from the doctor she gave me was just a deception? I think I need to investigate all of this."
Damian explained with confusion and then ran his hand through his hair backward.
"I need to sort everything out as soon as possible," he said again and immediately opened his car door.
Tristan was still stunned and kept thinking about every time he had sex with Karina, always allowed to ejaculate inside her because she said she had taken contraceptive injections so she wasn’t afraid of getting pregnant.
’but now she’s pregnant... Does that mean it’s my baby? Does that mean she deliberately got herself pregnant and will accuse Damian of being the father? She was just using me before... She deliberately let me plant seeds in her womb!’ Tristan said in his mind and slowly concluded looking back at Damian, who had already started his car.
He hurriedly knocked on the door of the car while moving toward his face to the window.
"Damian, stop!" he shouted. "We need to talk, I can help you!"
Damian stopped his car, then rolled down the window until he could see Tristan.
"What?"
"I can help you solve this problem, even now," Tristan said confidently.
"How?"
"I don’t have much evidence, but it’s all on my phone..." Tristan took out his phone from his pants pocket and showed it to Damian. "Let me in, and I’ll explain everything... Please, this is for your own sake, for mine, and also for Valerie’s!"
Damian fell silent, looking at Tristan with consideration, but remembering Valerie’s outburst earlier today, he couldn’t refuse to let him in to hear his explanation.
Tristan opened the WhatsApp application and showed his conversation with Karina.
Damian looked at it, furrowing his brow immediately, his breath catching with emotion.
"Sorry... Before, I was here because Karina asked me to approach Valerie so you would get angry and leave her... I planned the kidnapping of Daniel so I could pretend to help him, and Valerie would always feel sympathetic towards me. But in reality, I was too lazy to do this mission because I love Karina, and we had a mutually beneficial agreement. She would allow me to enjoy her body whenever I wanted, as long as I was willing to approach Valerie and always make you upset. But I failed," he explained somewhat nervously.
Damian remained silent, his hands trembling as he read through the conversation bit by bit from the top.
"Suddenly, she didn’t ask me to approach Valerie anymore... Instead, she gave herself to me... Inviting me to have unlimited fun... And I think that’s why she’s pregnant... Maybe she planned it because her initial plan of pretending to be sick and keeping you away from Valerie still didn’t work," Tristan explained again. "I’m sure... That baby is mine if you’ve never felt like you raped her... Maybe she planned this, trapping you by using me as... As someone who sows seeds in her. She deceived us all!" he continued angrily, feeling hurt, not expecting Karina to do something like this to him.
Damian sighed, returning the phone to Tristan and looking ahead, imagining how his relationship with Valerie was always disrupted by people, causing them to fail to marry immediately.
"I don’t know why people are so cruel to us," he said with an empty stare.
"I know I was wrong," Tristan replied, his face downturned. "At that time, I always thought it was better to obey everyone’s wishes so I could stay close to her... But this time, I can’t stay silent... She went too far, and I don’t want Valerie, you, or Daniel to continue suffering. I want everything to be over so I can leave peacefully," he continued.
Damian glanced at Tristan, seeing regret on his face, and suddenly his hatred towards him vanished.
"I know you were wrong, but thank you for resolving this... Everyone has their own mistakes, and I also have faults with Karina," he said anxiously. "I know you love her, and catching her lies doesn’t mean I have to humiliate her because it will only add new problems, grudges..."
"So, what’s your plan?" Tristan asked hopefully.
Damian just stayed silent, looking ahead again as if he was pondering.
