Return With the Billionaire Baby Daddy-Chapter 150: Damian’s decision
Damian entered the room, seeing Valerie curled up on the bed using a special pillow for pregnant women, looking so comfortable and cool, especially wearing only shorts and a purple bra.
"Hannah has woken up, and she’s very upset," Valerie said without turning around.
"She must be very disappointed, devastated, I’m sad too," Damian replied, then sat on the bed and leaned down, kissing Valerie’s forehead. "Miss you so much."
"I don’t want to make out..." Valerie turned her face away.
Damian sighed, then lay down next to Valerie, staring at the ceiling and imagining what happened today.
"We still can’t figure out why Fanny put toy beads on the stairs," he said.
"Then are you sure she did it?" Valerie asked. "What if someone else crossed the stairs after her?" she continued.
"Do you think it’s Viviane? Or Jimmy, or Gustave?" Damian countered. "It’s unbelievable they did it... It must have been Fanny, so she immediately tried to flee... Luckily she had an accident right away!"
Valerie frowned, glancing at Damian. "Did you just say an accident is lucky? What’s poisoning your mind?"
"What if it’s not luck? I like to see evil people suffer!"
"Oh my God..." Valerie sat up, staring at Damian seriously. "Why do you always think like that? Do you think evil should be repaid with evil? You should realize, I’m your wife, I’m pregnant... Imagine if our baby experiences something bad, or even Daniel, could you accept it when people say it’s lucky? If Fanny’s parents knew about it, they would surely be very disappointed or even angry at you for saying her accident was lucky!" She got angry.
Damian sighed heavily. "But she deserves it... she made Hannah lose her baby," he said lazily.
"Yes, I know, but whatever it is... I don’t like you feeling grateful for the suffering of someone you don’t like!" Valerie asserted, then immediately got up from the bed.
Damian raised his head, watching Valerie walk towards the window. He then sat up, looking at his wife who looked so sad and always angry with him.
’I know she doesn’t like violence, punishment, she wants me to forgive everyone evil to us... I think I should do something,’ he thought, then reached into his pants pocket and contacted a contact named James Carlo.
"Hello Mr. Carlo," he said.
"Hey, Mr. McCourtney," James greeted from the phone. "You don’t usually contact me. I thought you had a big problem."
Damian smiled thinly. "You know... I’ll always contact you if there’s a big problem."
"So, tell me your problem."
"I just want a solution," Damian said anxiously, occasionally glancing at Valerie who was still daydreaming near the window. "Someone is very dangerous... He’s in prison now, but I want to free him because I don’t want him to continue hating me and seeking revenge, but I don’t want him to do something bad when he’s free," he continued.
Valerie immediately turned to Damian.
"Oh.... You want him to be free but you’re worried he’ll harm you again?" James guessed.
"Yeah... I’m very worried about that," Damian said, turning his gaze away from Valerie.
"It’s not difficult. You just need to apply for parole to the police. You can make a condition that is so risky for him that he won’t dare to do anything bad to you again... It’s like something that traps him." James suggested casually.
"Is it possible to be safe? I mean... Can he be trusted to comply with those conditions?"
"Yes... of course. Or do you want me to create the conditions so that he doesn’t dare to cause trouble with your family again?"
"Yes, please... I leave everything to you... I know you understand all of this very well and you know what’s best for us," Damian said anxiously. "Please... Do this as soon as possible, I don’t want to prolong his suffering in prison... Then after this I also want you to help me with another case... I’ll pay whatever you ask for."
"Alright... I’ll send you a form, you have to fill it out... If you fill it out today then I’ll immediately finish making those conditions," James replied.
"Okay... Send it now."
"Okay."
Damian ended the call and looked at Valerie standing in front of him with a surprised expression, making him smile thinly with affection and amusement, pulling her to sit on his lap.
"What are you doing?" Valerie asked in surprise.
Damian hugged Valerie’s waist. "Doing the best for all of us... Something fair in your opinion and will make us constantly feel peaceful... no more hostility, no more grudges," he replied calmly.
"But what is it? I heard you wanted to make a condition... I don’t understand," she said.
Damian smiled, gazing deeply into Valerie’s eyes.
"Tell me," Valerie whispered.
"I want Samuel to be free," Damian replied calmly.
Valerie immediately widened her eyes, not expecting Damian to do that even though he hated Samuel so much, even tried to catch him all this time.
"I realize, I’m also a bastard and I don’t like living in difficulty. He has suffered enough from your rejection... it must make him feel bad, then he lost his baby... lost the trust of his family, lost his wealth," Damian said anxiously. "If I were him... Maybe I would be very stressed, and even more stressed if I had to be in prison. That’s why I want him to be free... Maybe he can start a new life better... But I have to make sure that he won’t try to hurt us again," he continued.
Valerie remained silent, staring at Damian with her heart pounding.
"And I hope you’re happy with my decision," Damian whispered, turning his gaze away slightly, feeling a little nervous under his wife’s intense gaze. "And I hope you’re not embarrassed anymore to have a husband like me... I’m a bastard... I have a lot of faults," he continued, suddenly overwhelmed by self-doubt.
"No..." Valerie shook her head, cupping Damian’s cheeks and smiling. "You’re not a bastard... You’re so good, brave enough to try not to be a coward, brave enough to forgive someone so bad to you. I’m proud of that, I’m proud of you!"
Damian smiled thinly, turning his gaze away and wiping out Valerie’s hands.
"I know I’m bad, and only you praise me... All this time only you have looked at me with kindness," he said.
"You’re not bad at all..."
Valerie made Damian look at her again deeply then kissed his lips gently.
"They say that because they don’t understand you, because they don’t know you," she said.
"And only you know me... You, and my mother," Damian replied.
"And I’m grateful because you always understand me," Valerie smiled, unable to hide her happiness at Damian’s decision, and began to imagine their love story after he returned after hiding for 2 years. "And you know, you who also know me always understand me even though I don’t understand myself."
Damian simply remained silent, gazing at Valerie and listening to her.
"Like when I kept rejecting you, but you kept pursuing me because you knew what I truly wanted... You made me confident when I was trapped in fear," Valerie said again, shaking her head. "You understand me..."
"And then I’m the lucky bastard."
"No, you are not!"
"Yes... I’m the lucky bastard!" Damian affirmed with a smile. "Because I’ve just been nice to you... You’re like my keeper... Don’t you realize that?" 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
Valerie smiled shyly and nodded.
"I love you... I love you so much!" Damian whispered, and Valerie immediately hugged him, kissing him so aggressively that she messed up his hair.
"Um..."
Valerie closed her eyes as their lips could barely hold on until Damian stopped the kiss.
"I have to fill out forms from James Carlo," Damian said, showing his phone. "Maybe he already sent them via email... I need to fill them out, I need to explain my conflict with Samuel so he can put together the requirements for Samuel’s freedom," he continued.
Valerie immediately got up from Damian’s lap.
"Then I’ll help you," she said.
"Yes, you can help me... Please get my laptop from the office drawer," Damian replied while checking his phone.
Valerie looked towards the door and remembered Fanny, who might be a pawn of someone who didn’t like her and wanted her harm, but until now she was still okay because wrong victim.
"I don’t want to leave this room," she said as she sat back down. "I’m worried that the person who sent Fanny might also send someone else in here to do something bad to us," she continued anxiously.
Damian furrowed his brow, once again reminded of Fanny’s issue that hadn’t found a resolution yet.
"I know... Just stay here," he said.
In the end, Damian filled out the forms from his phone, while Valerie sat beside him and occasionally helped him by reminding him of the issues caused by Samuel.
"What if Fanny continues to be unconscious and can’t tell us about her motives or about the person who might have instructed her to harm me?" Valerie asked.
"In that case, we don’t need to bring strangers into our mansion," Damian answered while typing on his phone. "I’ll continue to take care of Daniel for everything... Like getting him ready for school... Taking him to school, tucking him in at night, preparing meals... Besides, he needs to learn to be independent... We just need to keep guiding him, we don’t need to keep providing a babysitter for him," he continued casually.
"And maybe he’ll sleep with us until we really know whether Fanny indeed wants to harm us or if she’s just following someone’s orders... He’ll sleep with us until things are safe again." Valerie said anxiously, but Damian immediately turned to her with a surprised smile.
"Then how can I fuck you?"
