Return With the Billionaire Baby Daddy-Chapter 73: The intruders came
Hannah, let me take Daniel to daycare," said Valerie as she approached Hannah, who was accompanying Daniel during breakfast.
"Are you sure?"
"Hmm..." Valerie placed Daniel’s bag on the chair and then grabbed some drinks from the fridge, putting them in the bag.
Hannah paused, observing Valerie, who looked casual in a blue denim outfit with a white jacket, letting her long hair flow freely.
"Um, then can I go?" she asked.
"Yes, do whatever you want. I’m free today," Valerie replied, grabbing a sandwich and eating while admiring Hannah in her blue outfit with her hair tied up. "But where will you go? Do you have plans with your friend?"
"Um... Yeah," Hannah shrugged.
Valerie nodded. "I was planning to go shopping... But if you need to go with your friend, I’ll go shopping with Adriana instead," she said.
"Um, sorry, I can’t accompany you."
"It’s okay." Valerie smiled, casually eating while waiting for Daniel to finish his sandwich and fruit.
Afterward, she took Daniel out of the house, only to find Tristan waiting outside.
"Hey..." Valerie looked at Tristan in surprise. "I didn’t expect you to be here!"
Tristan smiled shyly. "Um, I rushed here because I remembered that Daniel needed to go to daycare, so I thought I’d take you both."
"You shouldn’t have to do this."
"It’s okay... I just don’t want yesterday’s incident to happen again."
Valerie sighed, feeling sorry for Tristan, whose face still looked messy from yesterday’s blur, making it hard to refuse his offer.
’Besides, Damian doesn’t know, and Jerry hasn’t arrived to take care of us yet. It’s not wrong if I accept Tristan to take us... If he gets jealous, then he doesn’t understand the situation,’ she thought.
"Would you mind if we just take the motorbike?" Tristan asked.
Valerie snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the motorcycle parked in the yard.
"I think it’s better to use the motorbike so you don’t get tired from walking," Tristan said again.
"Um..." Valerie swallowed nervously. "I’m not used to riding a motorcycle... I can’t ride one or be a passenger..."
"Don’t worry, we won’t fall..." Tristan smiled reassuringly, then bent down to pick up Daniel and carried him. "Come on, don’t be afraid... If I drop you, you can put me in jail," he said, walking towards the yard.
Valerie breathed heavily, feeling uncomfortable, not having the chance to refuse but also feeling unable to refuse, yet worried that Damian would be angry if he found out about this.
"It’s for our good, not meant to betray, so I don’t need to worry," she said, then quickly walked towards them.
Tristan sat on the motorcycle with Daniel in front of him, holding onto the tank, and Valerie sat behind him.
"Shouldn’t Daniel sit with me instead?" Valerie asked, suddenly imagining Daniel falling if he couldn’t sit still.
"He’ll be fine, but if you’re worried, you can hold him from behind," Tristan replied, starting the motorcycle.
Awkwardly, Valerie held onto Daniel’s waist, making it look like she was behind him. They soon headed to the daycare, passing through relatively quiet alleys with occasional pedestrians.
"This area is still very quiet," Tristan muttered.
"Yeah, I think there are still many empty houses," Valerie replied, focusing on holding Daniel.
"It’s very dangerous for you, just living with Daniel and a babysitter. I can’t imagine if there’s a robber, no men to help you..."
"It’s okay, I don’t think that will happen."
"But here, in the USA, we still experience uncertain security because many people can have firearms... Incidents like school shootings or shootings in neighborhoods, they’re truly painful and hard to predict or avoid."
"Hmm..."
"I’m thinking of moving to a rental closer to your house... And coincidentally, the house two doors down from yours is still empty, so I’ll move there," Tristan said, then turned his motorcycle.
"Why do you have to do that?" Valerie asked.
"So I can take care of you more easily," Tristan replied, then stopped the motorcycle as they arrived at the daycare building.
Valerie quickly got off the motorcycle, feeling anxious, watching Tristan take Daniel off the motorcycle and smile at her.
’What’s going on? Is he going to move to a house much closer to me just to take care of me? What if Damian doesn’t like it? How should I tell him that I don’t need to be taken care of by him anymore because Jerry will always be there for me?’ she wondered, worried that her explanation would disappoint Tristan.
...
Damian had just arrived at his office, entering his workspace, only to be surprised by Clara waiting for him on the black sofa.
"What the fuck you doing here?" he asked, his eyes widening.
Clara immediately stood up. "Damian... I... I just wanted to apologize," she said.
"Apologize for what?"
"I realize, that night I shouldn’t have seduced you... I didn’t expect it to turn out so badly," Clara explained, looking quite sexy in a black dress with her hair tied up high, revealing her slender neck. "I found out about Valerie... I feel guilty because she was so disappointed, she’s pregnant and chose to raise her child alone. I’ve been thinking about you two constantly... Finally, you didn’t get to spend time with your son... I..."
"Nonsense!" Damian interrupted before Clara could finish. "Go away now, I don’t want to see you!" he continued, pointing to the door.
"But Damian..."
"Leave now!" Damian yelled, glaring at Clara angrily for not leaving immediately.
"Damian..." Clara shook her head.
Damian couldn’t bear it anymore, he immediately grabbed Clara towards the door, then opened it and pushed her out.
"Awhh...!"
Clara hit the corner of the secretary’s desk not far from the door.
Damian sighed heavily, his emotions running high, his eyes fixed on Clara, who was quickly being helped by his secretary.
"Oh my, sir... What did you do?" The secretary looked at Clara, who was bleeding from her head.
"I... I feel dizzy..." Clara sat down, holding her head, then looked at Damian with a melancholic gaze, and in an instant, she collapsed unconscious.
"Miss... Oh my God!" The secretary panicked, cradling Clara’s head and trying to wake her up by gently tapping her cheeks. "Miss... Wake up... Miss!"
Damian was still frozen, his gaze sharp, his mind filled with shadows of Clara seducing him until his suffering when Valerie left him.
"Sir, do something!" the secretary exclaimed, looking at Damian in panic.
"She just fainted!" Damian replied angrily.
"Her head is injured because of you, this could endanger her life too! What if she has internal injuries?"
"I don’t care!"
"Sir, whatever happens, you have to help her or your reputation will be ruined!" The secretary continued to convince him, then looked back at Clara, who was still unconscious, with blood continuing to flow from her forehead.
